Writing a new review for this place. Yesterday (8/4) I went in for a car wash and the man working on my car left dirty hand prints on my back seat and I was very upset. I went back in today (8/5) first thing in the morning and a different man was taking the tabs, I explained to him what happened and showed him my receipt and he said "okay no problem, dont worry" took my car around to the vacuums and had someone clean up my back seat. Fast and easy. I may have over reacted on my first review because I was angry but they really should be more careful when they're working with cars that have lighter interior. Horrible!!! I've been to this wash 4 times prior to today in my full size van, each time no problem, did a fine job washing, no complaints. Today we pull up in the exact same vehicle and the VERY rude man informs us that we must pay for a hand wash and our vehicle is too big. The 4 previous times we had NO problem with being too big, we will NEVER return and we'll make sure none of our friends and family do either! Best car wash ever! I don't take my cars anywhere else. They do a superb job taking care of my babies. This is a really good place to get detail work done, whether its just a simple clay and wax or the whole she-bang with interior shampoo. Good place for a basic wash too, you can either take the car through yourself using the express wash or drop it off for full service. In short, if you were to get detail work done anywhere, this would be the place to do it. They'll give you a good price and do a great job. Pro-tip: After you get your car back at the detail tent, walk around your car and look at it. If anything's off, tell them straight away and they'll make sure its right. read more

I had gone to the lube side of this establishment go get an oil change and fuel treatment as well as a couple other things and it went very well. My car had some extreme oxidation areas and saw a special for a paint sealant and purchased it. When I went home I was on yelp for a couple other reasons and figured I'd check them out here. After seeing the last 3 reviews, I was going to ask for my money back, but figured what the heck, I'll give it a shot anyways. I'm glad I did. They did a nice wash, interior cleaning, wax and paint sealer process (like a waxing, I'm sure) and my car looked like it had a new paint job. There's a few, good reasons to choose Mountain View Car Wash over the others. First, they recycle as much water as they can, so I guess you could call this place "green" for being a car wash. I have yet to see another car wash out here that recycles, or at least claims to recycle, its water. Second, they constantly send coupons in the mail that offer significant discounts off their regular prices. Don't have a coupon? They also honor their competitors' coupons. A basic wash can be as cheap as $8.99 (wash, hand dry, spot clean, vacuum). Finally, it's the only car wash in town that doesn't manage to freak out when they get behind the wheel of my Prius. (Really, people, they're not that hard to drive!) They just hop in, put in in drive, push the gas pedal, and the rest somehow works itself out. Not rocket science. Considering they've been around since we first moved to Upland in 1992, I'd say Mountain View has a good reputation and that it's worth checking them out if you don't feel like washing your own car, or if you live in a place with incredibly hard water like I do. read more

I paid 27.00 for a car was that I could have just went through a drive through and paid 6.99 for. The guy left water spots an streaks on my car windows. When I complained to the owner about sticky stuff on the side of my car that wasn't wiped he said I needed a detail that it was tree sap when it was soda dried not tree sap! This is the second time visiting this car was with a less than desirable result of how my car was washed. Even tho you pay for air freshener with ur wash they always forget to put it! I've had to tell them each time they forgot! I waited a hour for my car to still have to point out the obviously dirty spots!! Owner did nothing when I complained besides make excuses and tell the guy helping to move to the next car!! I'll never go here again an do not recommend anyone else does either! Try this local car wash. They are nice and get the job done quick and very affordable.

I took my car in for a wash. When it came out the back bumper is half way off. I told the manager about the bumper. The owner came out and explained to him what happened. They checked the cameras and you can see right during the wash, the roller takes the bumber off. He looked at me with a smile and said "I am not doing anything about it, good bye. I asked if I can at least have my money back from the wash. He said no against policy. What the hell is that. Now I have dents and scratches on my bumper. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY!! To start they did not clean a single inch of the back part of my SUV. They opened the hatch and made it look like they were cleaning but it was just as dirty as when I brought it. The interior of my car was left dusty and much of it looked untouched. The owner is doing his/her employees a HUGE DISSERVICE by not allowing cash back at the register. Instead you have to pay a $3 atm fee to the owner to get cash out (this is a day in age when no one carries cash any more). Unless you would like to return home and spend 20 minutes cleaning the inside of your car SKIP THIS CARWASH ALL TOGETHER. read more

Stickshift drivers beware! There is no job requirement that anyone working at a carwash needs to know how to drive a stick! I make it a point to ask if they can drive a stick even though I sound kinda bitchy about it. I've never had any issues whenever I've taken my car to get washed. If I get the oil changed they always try to tell me that something else needs to be taken care of, but I expect to get that anywhere. But one time I needed a brake light changed and I had already bought the bulb and they changed it for me with out any extra charge. read more

Yes the guy at the front who takes you car sucks at his people skills but the person you pay your stuff to is fine and for the most part, the guys that wipe down your car does a pretty good detailing of a job. Worst-my lady got her car washed here and they broke a sentimental ornament. When she confronted them they said they didn't speak English in Spanish. Troublesome. Ok so I paid $22 and tipped $5 only to see that none of my interior was cleaned. Just as dusty and filthy as before the wash. Very disappointing. While they vacuumed the inside and did a good job in that arena, they failed to wipe down any of the parts of the car that collect dust like the radio and all the wood paneling inside. read more

car washes today are pretty much a dime a dozen. i will never be back to this place! first of all, they take debit cards but do not give cash back to tip their guys! instead, you are forced to use their atm machine owned by the owners of this crap wash and they charge you $3.00 to pull out a $20!! such bad business!! but, i still did it because you have to tip these poor guys that work so hard to make your car look nice! gotta take care of those who take care of you! as far as the owner of this place goes......shame on you for taking advantage of your customers! way to lose business by nickel and diming your customers! i hope you go out if business!! Just got my car back....INTERIOR WAS HORRIBLY DONE WITH CRAP ALL OVER MY FLOOR AND DASH! Did they even try? Had my car "fully" detailed here. Their detail does not include shampooing the carpet... only the removable rugs. I was able to talk the price down from $140 to $70. Items were not moved to clean the entire interior of the car; thus, many areas were clearly missed. For example, the center console in the back seat was pulled down, and they did not lift it up to clean to seat underneath it. Also I had a lot of misc items that fell underneath the seat. They had agreed to help me get the items out, but this was not done. They agreed to polish the interior leather with non-glossy leather cleaner, however I ended up with a very shiney interior. I would recommend this place if you are able to negotiate a price less than $100. If you want to spend more than $100, take your car to a place that really does a "Full" and comprehensive detail. read more

Great place for a car wash. My family has been going there for 10 years. I pay 20$ a month for unlimited washes. I had some unusual spots on my brand new car the other day and Adolpho worked on the spots for a good 20 minutes. I've also used the oil change service and theyve done a great job on breaks and transmission service as well. All employees there are very nice. I like the owner too. Just a regular full service car wash. I don't like to wash cars, so I come here. It's close and it's quick, and they do a decent job. I never expect too much from this place, and it never falls short of my expectations. I normally get the basic full service, which is all I need. They leave a couple of spots here and there, but thats ok. They always leave crap under my seats, but I don't know if getting up under there is in their job description, so whatever. Anyway, it's cheap and from a distance my car looks great, so I'll remain a customer. Oh, bring a some cash to tip the workers at the end. They're good guys, and It's a pretty physically demanding job, especially when it's hot as hell which is 99% of the time. read more

So I was up charged for a suv when my vehicle is a hatchback Subaru crosstrek a compact car. So I don't recommend coming here. If your hurting that bad for business you have to scam people for a few extra bucks it's a no brained why you have very little business. Got a basic wash. 13.95. They did a good job. It came with wheel shine. As far as customer service, nothing stood out. We were in and out in about 25 mins. They did not seem busy, therefore they took their time on the car. I'll have to try coming back during a busy time. They offer full service and it's a nice looking facilty. **DANGER ALERT** Very expensive for the mediocre work. Should've done it myself, but thought I should give my money to a local business. They honked my horn to let me know it was finished, when I got in my car, with disbelief, inching my way up the isle, I noticed two brand new large scratches on my passenger window, around two inches long and a few centimeters wide. When I notified the owner he grabbed the manager came over to look at the scratches. Because it was in the inside I had my door open which was when the manager hopped in and closed the door and proceeded to play out the putting on and taking off of the passenger seatbelt. Immediately insulted, he steps out and tells me it is my fault. Both the manager and the owner were rude and insistent on putting blame on me to relieve them of responsibility. These two gashes are big enough to know they were there prior, the smooth edge of the seatbelt metal would have not made this kind of scratch. Looks to be from a ring of some sort. After they called the one guy who said was cleaning my windows, mentioning that only two guys work on one car at a time although I counted four, came to defend himself for reasons of job security I assume. Anyway, I would never recommend this business to anyone. With how I was just treated and the horrible reviews I have been reading I hope you choose a different place.
