The best word to describe this business is incompetent. My wife called a week ago about a mirror for a china cabinet. They made an appointment to see her a week later. Today the representative called to say he was on his way. A few minutes later the business called and cancelled stating they don't do china cabinet mirrors. They gave my wife a quote last week and my wife specified it to was for a china cabinet. Now they can't do it? And they tell us a week later?? I have used Mountain View glass and mirror twice to replace the top/lid on my fish tank. My first time using them was about 10 years back. I recently broke the glass again... I drove down, provided the dimensions and was told I could pick the product the following day. I showed up as suggested, product was ready as promised! I got home and new piece fit like the original. Staff seemed friendly and willing to quote home window glass repair over the phone . Unfortunately I did not have any work done by them . After stopping by with the windows I needed repaired and getting a accurate quote , I felt they were priced very high . After calling around and finding Andy's glass in San Bernardino to be about a 100 less then Mountain View And ultimately finding the company I had repair my 2 home windows which was first place glass in Rancho who was 230 less then Mountain View glass and only 2 blocks from Them. I would suggest shopping behind allowing them to replace broken glass panels on your home windows. They may do excellent work , and maybe offering window glass repair should be left to another company if their prices need to be 3 times higher then the next guy to offer this service . read more

We had a window blow out in this wind. I called and scheduled a repair for the next day. I canceled appointments and rearranged my day so I would be available for them to arrive at 9:30 am. Well guess what? No show no call, I called and left a message, no call. When I finally reached someone they said saw I had been scheduled but wasn't on the books. Sorry! What the heck!! An apology and asking to reschedule, not a what do you want to do now? Would have been the correct response. Poor customer service. read more

I called Mountain View to install all new windows and a sliding door in my house. Mike arrived on time to give me a quote. He was on-time and very professional. I made the decision to hire them to do the job. I made an appointment to have the final measurements taken. I live in Irvine and the house is in Rancho Cucamonga (about a 50 mile drive one way). The appointment time comes and goes. I get a call about an hour after the appointment time informing me that they will need to re-schedule. Not cool. They made it to the next appointment on-time and the final measurements were taken. I was told that it would take 7 days to receive the windows and another two to install. I was also told they would be receiving a delivery date about 3 business days after the order was placed and I would be called to schedule the installation. About 4 days after the windows were ordered, I called to see if the delivery date had been received. I was told they did not receive a date yet but they would follow up and get back to me. I was called 3 days later and told they had some issues with their account and it would take another 7 days for the windows to be fabricated and delivered. Frustrated, I told them that it was unacceptable and asked if there is anyway they could get the windows sooner, even if they had to use a different vendor and pay more (at their expense). They were able to get the windows sooner than 7 days, so I was satisfied. They construction was to take two days. The first day went smooth. The installers arrived on time and got a lot done. I was told they would be coming the next day (a Saturday) to finish the installation. I arrive on Saturday morning and the appointment time comes and goes. I called and was told that they do not schedule jobs on Saturday and that no one would be coming. The cherry on top was that the sliding door had not been delivered, so there would be no point in them coming. Another 100 miles in gas wasted. The sliding door came in and we scheduled another appointment. The installation went smooth. In conclusion, Mountain View does excellent work. The windows and sliding door function and look great! The installers are clean and highly skilled. They just need better management. read more

I requested an appointment for a time they showed they had available and so I requested an appointment only to find out they aren't even open when they say they are. This company needs a better appointment system seeing as how it's going to rain and I don't have a window. Great Company, had a mirror installed 18 years ago told me if I every wanted to take the glass down to call them and would be more than happy to incase we decided to move or what have you. Now with people taking out walls ,"open room concept" call them and we're here like they said. I had a window that needed to be replaced, and they came out and had four 8 X 8 samples to try and match my other windows around the house (which were only two years old) and the guy installing them gave me his opinion and picked one out and then asked me which I then told him ok if that's what will match. Now, mind you I'm not an expert at this, it's not my profession so I trusted his judgement. They installed the glass a week later and once it was installed, they did a good job BUT, the color or "vue" as they call it, was completely off from the other windows. I told him it didn't match and he proceeded to tell me "well that's what we picked out". He advised me that I could talk to management which I called and then spoke to the owner of the company and they wouldn't come out and fix it or try to match it better or give me the refund. They were not willing to help at all. I then got a different company to come out and they were able to go above and beyond to FIND a glass hat would match. So, I would advise not to use this company ever. read more

I have used Mountain view glass twice now, both times I have received great service. First time was a single pane window with metal decoration glued onto glass. I removed window dropped off and they took care of the rest, this time and most recent I need it a glass top to fit my new dinning table, I provided specific measurements to them and a penciled sketch of my table corners, they delivered exactly what I wanted. I've used Mtn. View Glass off and on for 15+ years and have gone back to them again and again. Last year, the did custom mirrors for my master bath remodel along with a custom glass table top. I just had them do a seamless shower glass in my master bath shower for the 2nd phase of my remodel, and a seamless glass panel in my hall bath. They aren't going to be the cheapest, but their customer service, communication and high standards are about the best. It's good to see this from a local company! A big waste of time dealing with mountain view glass. Had a appt from 2:00-4:00pm made a week ago. No mention of any other contacts or phone calls. Took the afternoon off to get a sliding glass window replaced/installed. $500.00 plus job. The repairman called and I missed the phone call because I was taking out the trash. Approximately 10 minutes later, I called them back. Stated they went on to another customer and after that their "day is done." Again, big waste of time dealing with mountain view glass. read more

I was desperate to get someone out because my back sliding glass door wouldn't lock. It seemed that no one could come the next day but when I called Mountain View they were able to fit me in. They arrived and totally explained to me what the problem was and how they would fix it. They fixed it right away for minimal price. The door feels brand new. read more

this company is the worst. Came out quick to measure window, took 3 weeks to get the proper glass. Took 2 hrs to install I piece of glass. They could not figure out how to remove sliding door, said they never saw one like this before. Broke the molding around window. Don't bother with this company. Now I have to fix door.
