It's a typical Chinese restaurant, if you want the waiters attention; you're going to have to wave them down. Overall, a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you're in the mood for skewers. They could improve on the drinks menu as well. I would say it's a good place to share a meal with friends and family. This restaurant also seems to share the space with a bubble tea stall. Parking wise, there is a free parking lot out back or you could park near the mall.

First of all, the sauce just didn't look appetizing at all. There was barely any sour cabbage, just a few tiny shredded pieces. The vermicelli was really mushy, and the pork belly slices were basically all fat. I honestly couldn't eat it. I had maybe one piece of pork belly and one bite of the vermicelli and left pretty much the whole dish untouched. When the server asked if I wanted to pack it up, I said no and told her I didn't like it at all. She didn't really say much, and no one came over to ask what was wrong. Since I barely touched the dish, I thought they might at least offer to replace it with something else or give me a discount. Service was okay otherwise, but I was disappointed with how they handled it. The place looked clean. Then when I went to leave a Google review afterward, I saw a notice from Google saying reviews had been removed because of suspicious review activity. That definitely made me question all those high ratings that made me want to try this place in the first place. The pan fried dumpling was really good and tasty. And my favorite of all is the sweet and sour spare ribs, sometimes called black vinegar spare rib. Oh my gosh, ribs were fall off the bone. Very thick caramel and perfect combination of black vinegar. So good! Very good restaurant with great people working. Attentive, friendly staff. I usually get the beef offal or the fishball/cuttlefish ball with rice noodles and it always hits the spot. They use the thin rice noodles here which I prefer, and it all goes well with their homemade chilli oil. This may seem like a simple bowl of noodles to most, but this kind of traditional Hong Kong delicacy takes a lot of skill to do right. I gladly trek here from downtown every once in awhile when the craving strikes. I have to dock them a star for the price point as despite being a no frills spot, it's honestly pretty pricey. For two bowls of noodles and a side of small beef offal, we paid $42 for lunch all in. They're also stingy with the napkins and chilli oil, but I'll still frequent Lai Leung Kee because it's just that good.
