BE AWARE YOUR FUNITURE ASSEMBLY! To be honest this is by far the worst moving experience. The two young guys were pretty slow the entire day - spent 10 hours to move everything for a 3 bedroom house. This happened quite a while back and the reason that I'm writing this now is that I just found the beds were poorly assembled - the beams supporting the mattress were not assembled to the right position. All the beams were misaligned with each other so big gaps in between the beams here and there. They also discarded some screws to their own discretionary so the furniture is missing screws which made the assembly not durable. Some of the discarded screws caused me not able to install the TV mount later since they only preserved a portion of that. Overall the work was not good so would not recommend - the staff were not paying enough due-diligence making the experience very bad. read more

Overall Experience: Had a great experience with Movable team. They quoted me 7-8 hours based on my description and finished the job in 6.5 hrs. they were quick and professional. The only thing I felt they could have done better was, proactively wrapping the furniture. As soon as I asked, they wrapped every single thing. Costing: They were the most cost effective movers I got, I had a quote from $1000 (from Movable) to $3,500. In the end I paid around $775 for the entire move. We packed all our stuff in boxes and only had the big ticket items for them to dismantle and assemble at our new place. they were blazing fast in doing this. Communication: I was communicating with Julia, her response time on a working day was less than an hour. I dont think I was expecting such prompt reply. Great job. T Day of moving: They were supposed to show up @9am, they were running late due to traffic, he called 45 min. in advance that he will be at the house @9:30. they showed up @9:30 Breaks: They took half hr lunch break and we were informed about it in advance, I appreciate when you know when they will show up. Insurance Policy: Insurance policy that comes with their package is basic as I understood, though they do offer comprehensive coverage, if needed, @300 deductible. I didnt use that. they were very careful while moving stuff, they didn't ding anything. I was impressed by the skill and efficiency of the movers, they didn't catch a single door or wall. Only reason I give them four and not five stars is they arrived three hours late. This company is the most unprofessional and unethical company that I have come across in my life time (and all the moves that I have been part of - at least 10 moves few within US and few abroad). After making arrangements with this company, on the day of the move, these morons upon my calling them informed me that movers will NOT be able to come as "they are not picking up the phone". They were late! I am writing this review because I was put under significant stress by their actions (or lack of) and I want to make sure NO one goes through this with this garbage of a company. Keep it simple - avoid this garbage of a company and its staff at all cost as they will let you down like they did to me. Luckily I was able to find another company on the same day (of my move) and they showed up! and all the existing reviews I see on this site for Movable - I am sure these are paid ones and not original as i am pissed and I wanted to make sure everyone finds out about this company and how unreliable they are! Eugen and Cris did a fantastic job moving our 1 bedroom apt. The destination has one flight of stairs and it's very hot out, so I really appreciate their effort in moving my furniture and boxes as quick as possible. The communication with the company wasn't as great as other moving companies (ie they didn't call me prior to confirm, i called them the night before.) But their yelp responses were all within minutes. The rate was reasonable, and includes materials like shrink wraps and blankets. Overall, highly recommend. read more

Julia made scheduling the move easy and the guys showed up 30 minutes after our scheduled time (with a heads up call that they will be late, so it was ok). I'm really surprised about the positive reviews here. Please don't be fooled, when I dug up more I saw a negative review which had kind of similar experience. I had the displeasure of talking to this lady called Julia who definitely doesn't understand customer service or care. We asked for move in at 3:30 pm. She had mentioned there can be some delay which we were ok with. Closer to 2, they moved it to 5 Pm which was ok. Again closer to 5 they moved it to 6:30/7:00. There was a miscommunication between actual movers and the office whom we call. We thought it's reasonable at least to make a minimum from 3 to 2 hours since it was already too late in the night and we needed to clean up the old house. We had taken leave from work just for this. However she was adamant and in fact told us, we can just call someone else instead of using their service. REALLY ? You tell a customer to basically fuck off in the last minute ? She knew we had no other arrangement or choice. We were nothing but shocked that a service company can speak to customers that way. So now our reserved elevator in new apartment was also gone. Anyway when the movers finally arrived, there were two of them. We were given an estimate of 3 hours. They said they can be done in 2.5 hours. However that wasn't the case. We felt they were slow and not very efficient ( understandable they worked the whole day for another company). They also took a 20 minute break for dinner which is fine but at the end they didn't want to put in extra 20 minute, they wanted to just 5 more. We had to argue. We had to do quite a bit of the moving, packing and later also ring up our other friends to help us move. Literally it was just the truck which came to use. Do yourself a favor and please hire a UHaul or be prepared for a loooong move. The movers told us just before our move they went to a place which was given an estimate of 4 hours or so but it ended up being 9 hours. Oh the horror. Oh also mid way through the move they even changed the rate for the extra hour move. Speak of professionalism. This is just another money hungry don't care attitude mover with no respect for your time. We are really displeased with the moving company and the main office which handles everything than the actual movers. Especially Julia, please take a 101 on customer service. We recently moved locally and got quite a few quotes from the top local companies for movers. Movable was definitely the most reasonable with great reviews so we decided to go with them. We got a prompt call exactly 30 minutes before the appointment time and Eugen and Mizoslav arrived right on time. The two of them quickly disassembled our queen size bed frame and wrapped all our furniture with padding and shrinkwrap they came with. I'm very happy to share my experience with the movers. First, I was on a time crunch, and they were very flexible and able to drive all the way to Lacey despite their already busy schedule. I was doing a lot of research on movers, and when I got in contact with the owner, he was very friendly, down to earth and professional. The price point was right where I needed to be because I was on a tight budget. I was looking for licensed and insured and they were perfect. Paul was upfront about the costs. Their website is also very easy to navigate and very clear about what they do. When the movers came out they were very friendly. We went over the paperwork and they answered all the questions I had. They disassembled everything for me, and loaded the truck. They were accurate in how long it would take them. They asked questions throughout the move, kept me involved. I was worried about a big entertainment center that was EXTREMELY heavy and they navigated it with ease. After loading everything, they met me at the storage unit to put all in storage for me. It was raining and they worked very quickly, but carefully with my belongings. My storage unit was not as big as I hoped and I worried they wouldn't be able to fit everything, but they are pros, they know what they are doing and they fit everything in there, even leaving a little bit of room for some boxes I had to store later on. One of the movers even showed me how to use the new storage keys since I couldn't figure it out lol. I gave them a tip but wanted to give them more because they did so well. I like them so much I wanted them to move my stuff to TX when I leave WA state. Definitely stop doing your search if you come across this company. They are one of the best experiences I've had. I needed help moving to a different apartment after my lease was up, and I hired these guys to do the lifting and carrying for me. Theh had a low rate and showed up on time. I have worked at UPS before and saw the tetris loading system with walls, well these guys (Alex and Max)were pretty damn good at it too, and unlike UPS they actually cared not to break anything. I didnt have that much stuff to move but it was enough so it was all loaded within coulle hours. When they arrived to the new place they quickly unloaded everything and as far as I can tell didnt break, scratch or damage anything, but I am still unpacking some boxes. I even gave them a tip because they did everything slightly faster than they quoted. In the end, I am moved, didnt have to do that much and nothing is broken. Thanks guys! read more

I bought a 36", 450 pound refrigerator via Craigslist, and hired these movers to move it from the seller (Snohomish) to my house (Seattle). Start to finish, they moved the old fridge out and the new one into the kitchen in about 30 minutes. The refrigerator arrived securely strapped in their truck, with no damage. The two-man team used a harness/strap system to carry the refrigerators, rather than use a handtruck. Movers were polite, friendly, and efficient, and worked well as a team. Very calm and good communicators with each other, as they navigated my steps, doors, lights, etc. They were careful with both the refrigerator, and my house. Highly recommended! read more

Last October we had to look for last minute movers, and Movable LLC was great and able to accommodate us on such short notice. Seattle movers are pretty costly and we had the biggest issue of getting the movers into the parking garage - which was too high to fit and also a lot of movers refused to help out as there was a construction going on right next to our apartment and thank goodness Movable LLC had what it takes to make wonder and make it work out well. I used Movable for a local move a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't recommend them. I have moved around apartments in different cities over the past 5-6 years and used various different movers. Movable will surely come to the bottom of that pile purely on the fact that it took them more than 4 hours just to move my stuff from my apartment to the truck. This was when all my furniture is light and I had unassembled the beds before they arrived. My apartment is right next to the freight sized elevator and I live on the second floor. I could see that the guys were trying the oldest trick in the book - add on the hours just to get paid more. They had slowed things down so much that I had to talk to their manager and let them know what they were trying to do. That actually helped and they were able to move all the stuff from the truck into the new apartment in 1 hour even though the new apartment was on the 15th floor and had a smaller elevator. If you use movable be careful. They will try to convince you to add a third person and get paid even more ($110/hour). They aren't the most ethical movers I have worked with read more

I have never had such unprofessional movers. We used them back back in August of 2014. We didn't ask for anything special, we just needed help moving things into our house from a truck in front of our house. I had booked them ahead of time and even secured a flat rate for the service. The two guys showed up and began moving things into our house. Sadly this was not an easy move for our family. Being new to the area and wanting to make polite small talk I asked one of the movers about the area. He told me that he didn't live in the area but rather up in Renton. He then told me that the area I lived in was "not so good" and elaborated by adding that he thought it was because of the Mexican population in the area (obviously not realizing that my family is directly descended from Mexico among many other places). To make matters worse my wife was upset from the trip to our new home. Many of the things in the truck had fallen or broken (not their fault as another company moved our stuff from point A to B, they were just unloading). The mover's way to console her was to state "Don't worry, you'll get a better house." I was in disbelief when I heard this and I was so exhausted that the full impact of both statements didn't hit me until the end of the day! They took about four or five hours to move about two and a half rooms worth of furniture and boxes. Once they finished they tried to charge me $500 for their work. I told them that they needed to call their manager because I had an agreement that I would only be charged $250 for the work. After much deliberation on their part in Turkish over the phone they agreed to the previously agreed upon price and left. To this day I remember this story with disbelief and reading some of the negative reviews here on Yelp makes me aware that they may not be the most honorable company to do business with. To their credit they did agree on the move only two weeks prior to the date when so many other companies needed more time in advance. Also they did show up in time. Still it's hard to excuse the facts that it took so long to complete the move and that they came off offensive. read more
