Had Moving Brothers come help me today. This is the third time I've called on them in 4 months, they are the only company I will ever hire. My first experience with them was when I moved here. 2 semi truck trailers worth of way too much stuff was expertly managed and moved. Not only furniture and general household stuff but a massive amount of heavy, fragile computer equipment too. They treated each piece and every box like it was a family heirloom. No one had to ask them to be careful, they just were. The second time they came was to help unpack and set stuff up. All I can say is, amazing! Even when I had them move a huge heavy couch 3 or 4 times, no complaints they just did it. The guys putting together my glass shelves even cleaned them...what company does that? Before leaving they swept and moved the mountain of broken down boxes. These guys worked hard and there was not one time they anything but professional. Today was moving more huge stuff around the house and helping me look for boxes that were, of course, in the back of my very full storage. No, it wasn't packing a truck, but they took the job and were great as usual. If you're looking for movers, packing and unpacking help, or guys that will come over to move heavy ass stuff and dig through all your crap, call these guys! Well worth the price! read more

I booked this company through U-Haul and unfortunately they are the most lazy unprofessional people in this industry. I ordered 4 people for 2 hours because I live on the 3rd floor with stairs only. I knew the work would not be easy. I informed Steve of this situation 8 days before the move date. He said everything sounded good and they would be available. The day of the move four guys show up smelling like weed and asked where the elevator was located. I explained that there is no elevator and it was previously discussed and agreed upon for the move. We walked up the closest stairs together and again they asked about an elevator. I again explained there is no elevator. I then showed them what I needed moved, furniture and boxes. Nothing out of the ordinary for a one bedroom apartment. Three of the guys walked out of my apartment and the owner Steve followed them. He then turned around at the door and said they would not be moving me. I have booked multiple movers through U-Haul over the past 20 years and this is the first time I've ever booked a moving company that doesn't want to move people. They have cost me money and have jeopardized my job. Do not hire these hacks!! It seems they only want to get high together and waste peoples time and money. My friend and I work in the medical field, all she needed was a few guys to help her move. She got way more than she paid for. I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED SUCH BEHAVIOR FROM A SO CALLED BUSINESS OWNER. DO NOT USE THESE LOSERS!!!!!!!!! They never let the client know they were on their way (which was a request by the client) When my friend gets ahold of Steve the owner he was angry with her and tells her they showed up 20 min EARLY and LEFT because they said they did not see a moving truck. He tells her he has other jobs to do. Asks her why did you even call us. Long story short, they eventually show up, they were 3 of the SMALLEST movers I have EVER SEEN by the way. They were like stick figures. I could lift them. Anyway, Steve is very angry and distraught. He starts speaking to my friend in a way no man should EVER speak to a woman, I don't care who you are. Suffice to say. The situation just got worse and it ended. The Owner Steve was RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INAPPROPRIATE, and walked off a job already paid for. I am a medical professional and it honestly it appeared, by the way they were acting he and his workers needed a "FIX". If I could give LESS THAN 1 star I would.. They were booked through U-Haul. I booked Moving Brothers through the U-Haul website to help move my belongings from a storage unit to my new home. I paid in advance for two movers for four hours on a Sunday morning. When I made the booking, I accidentally entered an incorrect phone number. That was my mistake. However, my email address was correct, and when I hadn't heard anything by midday the day before the move, I reached out to them myself. They replied that they had been unable to contact me because of the incorrect phone number. While I understand that, they still had my email address and could have contacted me there, especially since I had not yet been given a confirmed arrival time or been asked for the address of my storage unit yet I had pre paid. At around 6:00 p.m. the evening before my scheduled move, I finally received a phone call. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly became unpleasant. I was told they would no longer honor my booking as agreed. Instead of providing two movers for four hours, I was told they would send four movers for two hours. I explained that this would not work for my move and was not what I had booked or paid for. My storage unit was drive-up, so having additional movers for less time did not provide the same service and would likely have resulted in additional charges to complete the move. During that same conversation, I was also told that I should cancel my U-Haul moving help reservation, request a refund through U-Haul, and then pay Moving Brothers directly instead. I was uncomfortable with this suggestion. After the incident, I contacted U-Haul and was informed that their service providers are not supposed to direct customers to cancel bookings made through the U-Haul platform in order to pay them directly. That made the request even more concerning to me. Rather than discussing possible solutions professionally, I felt I was spoken to disrespectfully. During the call I was told I was "cheap," and the representative said that people in Las Vegas don't want to pay for movers. The call was then ended. I called back because I was extremely concerned. I was due to move at 8:00 a.m. the next morning and had been relying on this booking for weeks. Again, I explained that I simply wanted the service I had already paid for. The conversation ended abruptly once more. Later that evening, around 9:45 p.m., I received a text from them asking whether I had found another mover. Shortly afterward, the representative called again and repeated the same offer: four movers for two hours, explaining that I would need to pay more if the job took longer. I declined because it still was not the service I had originally booked. Once again, I found the conversation to be unprofessional and discourteous. This review reflects my personal experience. The biggest issue for me was not just the proposed change to the booking, but the timing and the way the situation was handled. Having the terms changed the night before a scheduled move, after I had already paid and made arrangements around that booking, left me in an extremely difficult position. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Moving Brothers. If you choose to book them, I'd have a backup plan in place in case your booking changes at the last minute. read more

I ended up using two moving companies due to a last-minute staffing change by one company, which sent twice as many movers for half the scheduled time, forcing me to bring in a second company to complete the move. The process felt rushed and disorganized. I explicitly instructed that all food be packed, but none of the food was included in the boxes and the refrigerator was left fully stocked, requiring me to return and retrieve everything myself. This was a failure to perform the agreed services. After the move, approximately $500 worth of personal items were missing, including kitchen utensils and designer sunglasses. I cannot determine whether these items were removed during the move or left behind due to the disorganized packing process, but they were present before the move and not accounted for afterward. In addition, my bed was damaged, and my couch was left heavily soiled after being lifted over a railing to bring it into the apartment. One of the movers also asked me out after the job, which was inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was unreliable and required unnecessary follow-up on my end. Booked them through U-Haul. Did a good job. I'm happy with the work they did. They got the work done FAST!! They most be popular. I was their 3rd job and apparently every person they did a job for that day was on the 3rd floor. Despite them being tired they pushed through and got the work done. I recommend you contact them early via phone. I already packed and wrapped my stuff so I didn't need them to do this but definitely coordinate that with them before the moving day so you know what to expect from them. They showed up and moved my stuff but that's all I needed them to do. They weren't packing anything into boxes, only moving my stuff to the truck. They did do a good job packing the items in the truck as well by placing the items towards the center of the truck for better center of gravity. read more

Given that moving is a stressful experience; making sure the rental is available, the crew knows where to go and how long it should take, and you're just hoping everything goes as planned. Well, that isn't always true. But with these guys, everything worked out as we intended. They showed up on time. Great communication in the days prior to the move. They were done early and did a great job of packing the truck. I already had everything in boxes, so it was a relatively easy move. They responded to my call within minutes, told me the price up front which was reasonable. Promised they'd be there by 9:00am and they were already loading stuff at 9:05am. Hired this company through U-Haul and was extremely disappointed! The guys doing all the work were actually great, especially Cory. He was polite and worked hard. I can't say the same for Steve, the owner. He was rude, right off the bat, starting with how he spoke to me regarding mask wearing. I have two small kids and my mom is older. I politely asked him if they were going to wear their masks and he immediately told me they weren't. Wasn't even slightly polite about it. It's fine and dandy if they didn't want to wear their masks (he ended up being the only one not wearing it, all the guys were wearing theirs) but I actually asked U-Haul before booking them and they ASSURED me that everyone they work with wears a mask. That was a huge lie. The biggest issue I had with Moving Brothers was the fact that I booked them for 8 hours, 4 guys, and was told that I would only be charged the amount of time the guys were actually there. Makes sense, right? Nope! Not the case. The guys were there less time and when I simply tried asking the owner about getting some kind of hour adjustment, he sends me the rudest, nastiest text message, saying that it didn't matter how long his guys were there for, that it's none of my concern if they "finished early," just essentially making up all kinds of lame excuses why my mother will not be getting back the money she's entitled to. We made sure to tip everyone and were under the impression that if they worked 8 hours, they would get paid for 8 hours, if they worked 6 hours, they would get paid for 6 hours. Essentially, Steve, the owner, said that the guys "finished early" but they should be paid for the full 8 hours?? I can assure you if the guys were there 12 hours, he would have surely wanted us to pay extra. The concept only applies if they finish early, I guess. My jaw dropped when I received his text message, just so utterly rude and mean. U-haul told me I should have never given Moving Brothers my payment code (when you book movers through them, you have to prepay in full, in advance), that I should have given U-Haul a call to adjust the hours they were there. I booked with this company through U-Haul on 6/27 for my move schedule on 7/18. After booking I received a couple messages stating how they would reach out for details of my move. Saturday 7/13 I finally spoke with Steve after I requested a phone call since I hadn't heard from anyone and the day was getting closer. I had to reach out more than once confirming details of my move. Not once did he initial contact until the night before. Steve's communication and professionalism has been the worst to say the least. He stopped returning my calls and text, I had to reach out to customer service to intervene and get a response and had to scramble looking for a replacement the morning of my move. 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND using this company. If you're looking for a smooth and effective move this is not the company for you. Not to mention I have a 8 year old with no other moving help trying to move my entire apartment. The inconsideration is awful. Again, This is saying the least. the fact that I couldn't get what I paid for which was 2 men on a 3 hour job and he demanded that I change it to 4 men for double the price or more and they didn't have the 3 hours to accommodate me was also odd. Avoid this moving company if you don't want to get taken. I called Steven to set up a date to unload my Uhaul trucks. I was moving from out of state and let him know I was hoping to close on my new house on Monday but because it was out of my control it might be Tuesday. I asked if he could do that but if he had a request for other business just let me know and by then I might have a more accurate closing time. He asked for a deposit of one hours work and although i never had been asked for a deposit before (I and other clients have hired movers many times in the past and the company in the state i came from said no payment until they were completely done and I was satisfied) I needed to get something confirmed so I wasn't doing my due diligence very well. When I arrived in Vegas I contacted him to confirm the work and said I would be ready to have the trucks unloaded between 10 & 12 noon. He said he would set the time for 12 noon but if it wasn't then I would lose my deposit and would pay for all the hours the men worked no credit for the $180 I sent him. Don't know about you but that was a lot considering the overall moving expense. . I was shocked because I was never told this was a non refundable deposit. In fact at the time he assured me the deposit would be applied to the hours. . I was giving him notice on Saturday and the unloading wasn't until Monday Note I tried to call him Friday he never answered and I left a message he never called back. He told me he was confirming my time right then so I then knew I wasn't holding him up on booking something else because he took my deposit but never locked me into a day or time. False deposit! i quickly cancelled because something didn't seem right and I thought this was a horrible start to the job. He has refused to return my "deposit" and got very nasty and insulting with his texts. I plan to report him to the BBB and suggest to my colleagues etc not to recomended him to anyone. It will be interesting to see how many 5 star ratings will follow my post as there were several after the last negitive review. Not sure why he feels the need to keep money he didn't earn. I was trying to explain to him that I have everything in my living room and I also will be half moved already and he said just because I have a 26-foot truck I will need them for four hours. The reason for the star rating on other sites is because the owner stands next to you to post the review. Felt uncomfortable and pressured and could not be honest as there was more work to be done. Movers were on time, but complained about moving. Move itself was fine - not excellent, and not bad. One dolly was brought, not commercial grade so of course moving some larger items would be tough. It felt as if they were doing the client a favor (like your brother in law helping), versus a professional company that wanted the work and business. read more

All I can say is WOW! I don't even think it took them 2 hours to finish moving all my stuff out. Steve was very accommodating. I didn't see the time slot when I was booking them coz I was in such a rush. He was able to get me into his busy schedule and I am so happy that he did. I told Steve that I still had more boxes to load onto the truck and he made more than enough space! He is the Tetris Master! I highly recommend Moving Brothers! I wish you guys would help me in SF! Absolutely top shelf. Called Steve because in his add said he is a Veteran with a proclaimed 3500 moves. His ratings were excellent as well. ( after seeing him in action, I have no doubt he has moved 3500 folks!). Steve was available for my packing date and set the price. He texted me a couple of days prior to the move to confirm our appointment. On the day of the move, Steve, the boss, and Carlos showed up a tad bit early and wasted no time in sizing up the job and getting to work. I had PODs delivered and was told by the POD guy 3 would be sufficient. It was not. Steve knew immediately there was too much stuff. Luckily we had a plan "B" to take the left overs to the Mother-in-laws garage in Sun City. Steve and Carlos worked steadily refusing to take a break or even have a cup,of coffee when I offered. They were all business and NEVER stopped packing. Amazingly, Steve crammed an incredible amount of belongings into these PODs, being ever so careful with it. Mine was a two story and all 3 bedrooms were up stairs. These guys worked as a perfect team getting some massive pieces of furniture down and out of the house WITHOUT one scratch or ding! At the job's end the price was as quoted. They were of course tipped, because frankly, they deserved more than they charged us. By the way, a week prior, I had dropped an old tube type TV on my foot, smashing the #4 and little toe, so I was out of the picture for any type of help. I sold a couple of items that day on Craigs List and sent a few things for consignment sale. Steve and Carlos cheerfully loaded the furniture as I requested, haulting for a few moments their rhythm in moving the household stuff. They brought all the equipment needed to move the household. You do have to have your own furniture pads and for liability purposes, the home owner needs to disconnect any appliances to be moved, which is pretty much standard in the industry. We used moving brothers last year and this year. They were extremely kind and worked very hard. Both days we moved it was 114 degrees. My husband has a shoulder injury, so we specifically wanted to ensure all heavy items were moved and not as concerned about the small stuff. They along with some of our friends had everything moved out and into our new place in less than 4 hrs, that is with a 25 minute drive and all of us stopping to eat some lunch. Once everything was unloaded they even offered to ensure all the furniture was moved into the locations we preferred, but we were content with where items were at. We feel blessed to have found them and recommend them to all of our friends when moving. read more
