I had a similar experience this afternoon to those that other reviewers have already described. A young fellow claiming to be a college student in the (now infamous, it would seem) blue shirt - and he showed up, both ringing our doorbell and knocking loudly - right at dinner time. No mask and got right in my face (apparently this company is run by pandemic deniers - let's hope neither I nor anyone in my family gets Covid as a result of this or I'm going to sue the crap out of this company, guaranteed). Started right in on doing an extremely pushy, slick and sleezy sales routine. When I repeatedly said I wasn't buying anything, he kept pivoting to the next tactic in the script, and getting physically closer to me. I asked for a business card - said he didn't have one. He referred me to a Facebook page instead. I said, "Then I'll check that out." He then pushes to get my cell number, as he says he will only get paid if he is able to supply my number to the company. I tell him that I don't give out my number to people I don't know (or trust). When I refused to give him my cell number, apparently it was the final straw for him, because he started into this nonsense of saying, "Don't you care about me - out here in this heat having to wear pants while I go door-to-door? Don't you care?!" I had to laugh at that, as I have never in my life heard such outrageous nonsense. When I said, "No, I don't, because I don't even know you and you're disturbing my family's dinner," he again started yammering and trying to guilt me. At that point I had enough, told him he was intruding on my property and that he needed to leave. I shut the front door and locked it. He probably did stay on my porch and continue to talk, but thankfully I walked away. Thinking of reporting these deplorable folks to the local PD and town officials (though I'm sure they probably have been already). They don't respect property rights and the way their employees comport themselves makes them a public health threat in the current environment. Sorry, but Covid isn't a joke, so show some courtesy when you're intruding at someone's house, wear a damn mask and don't get up in people's faces. What sort of moron is teaching sales techniques to these kids?! (And before one of those obsequious, nothing responses get posted in response to this post - don't bother unless the owner of the company is willing to call me and apologize personally. Otherwise, your "concern" is disingenous nonsense.) read more

Yesterday (the July 4th holiday), we were a few minutes away at a friends house. Our Ring doorbell went off and we saw a salesman at our door. I was a bit caught off guard to see this, as it was a holiday. I posted this in our neighborhood Facebook group, and many others reported him coming to their door, and being very pushy and aggressive. They also identified him as a salesman from Joshua's Pest Control. A couple of hours later, he again returned to our home. At this point, I found that behavior concerning, again, as it was a holiday when many people are not home. This, coupled with other neighbors' complaints prompted me to return to the neighborhood, share the concerns, and ask him to leave. He seemed to brush off my concerns and stated that he was just doing his job, but he did agree to call whomever dropped him off to leave. I understand he had a job to do, but approaching homes on a holiday, multiple times when people aren't home, coupled with the pushy behavior is very concerning to our neighborhood. Here is what neighbors had to say: "Very hard sell and pushy. Basically had to shut my front door on him" "He basically walked into my garage and started walking all around my property. Very pushy and got rude at the end" "Very rude when he came to our house. I had to be very stern with him to leave." "He was here also. After telling him no several times I told him to go." I hope that this can be addressed within your organization. read more

I wish I could put zero stars. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. If the 1.5 stars doesn't warn you I don't know what will. The sales people were pushy approached me on my private property. Told them just wanted one mosquito treatment. They signed me up for a year. On my second treatment, they showed up unannounced and "treated" my yard with no one home. No notification of arrival or completion. No receipt of services performed or when they came. My cameras didn't show anyone came. I called asking for a detailed receipt of what was done because I was auto charged. The person on the phone said they would email it but never did. When I tried to cancel they charged me a huge fee. I asked if for the price they could at least do another treatment...they declined. They openly admitted to a hostage situation where you pay whether or not they do their work or a good job. Worst customer service I have had from a company. This company is a scam who wants to make money not working beyond the first service. They make all their money on cancelled contracts I'm sure. RUN THE OTHER WAY. You are better off giving your credit card number to the "Potential Spam" calls you get daily. You would get more for the money! read more

My experience with them was disappointing and I ultimately decided to cancel their service due to unsatisfactory results. However, what added to our frustration was the lack of transparency regarding their cancellation policy. Throughout their sales pitch, there was no mention of any early cancellation fees. I was led to believe that I could easily terminate the service if it didn't meet my expectations. However, when I reached out to cancel, I was blindsided by the imposition of an early cancellation fee, which was not disclosed upfront. This lack of transparency and the unexpected financial burden of the cancellation fee left me feeling deceived and dissatisfied with Joshua's Pest Control. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company to avoid similar unpleasant surprises. read more

A guy showed up at 7:30 offering there service at a discounted rate. I was told they would come out and treat the area for ants and spiders. After the treatment if we still had issues they would return for free and do an additional service. After the first treatment the ant problem became worse. I called to get them back out. I was scheduled out 2 weeks. No one showed up on the scheduled day so they rescheduled my appointment another 4 weeks out. At this point I cancelled the service. Now they are trying to charge a cancellation fee of $141. I told the guy when he called that I was told I could cancel anytime if I was not happy and there are no fees. Beware of this company. read more

I honestly don't see what people are talking about. The mandate has been lifted. YOU DON'T NEED TO KEEP WEARING MASKS ON THE DOOR! Some people... I have loved their service. The tech was here for over 30 minutes which was a lot better than most companies. Really thorough treatment inside and out. The field expert was super knowledgeable. read more

So far we have loved the services Joshuas has provided. We had a bad ant problem and the gentleman that came to our door to offer their services explained how they would get rid of the ants and so far they have. We are looking forward to our follow up treatment. read more

Pricing is very deceptive. People in administration are unhelpful and unfriendly.
