I signed a contract for three years, twice what I normally would pay for Service that's working. The service did sound better. I like the product they were using. I said yes to everything. So the sales person didn't seem pushy. But I called in the morning and canceled the whole service and received absolute great customer service. I recommend making your appointment three days past your date of contract as a rule. I grew suspicious when they couldn't show me the cancellation contract, she said it comes with the contract agreement in the email . The cancellation agreement said you had to mail a physical piece of paper to the office in Phoenix 45 minutes away from where I was. In the end, they did just canceled my service. No questions asked . I think I was taken in by her long eyelashes. Why would I pay twice what I'm paying now? Peace to you. read more

We have been under contract for a little over 2 years now. At first, our service was great. The techs would literally spend 45 min - 1 hour at our house spraying inside & out. We had the same tech for the first couple of service times, and then they started changing every time. The time spent at our house got shorter and shorter over the years. We have tried asking for a service window of time to be communicated to us, because who has the liberty to stay home all day to wait for pest control service? It still doesn't happen. The last tech who came out a couple of weeks ago was at our house for literally 15 mins. Inside and out, 3400sq ft. I watched the camera footage back to see what he even sprayed and it was absolutely mind boggling - barely anything! My mom communicated this with the office and asked for information as to how much chemicals were used to only find out that the information logged is just copied and pasted from month to month. Luckily they will be sending someone out again this week to re-spray since we have quite a bit of insects inside and outside our home now, but what an inconvenience. For the prices to have gone up and the service to have gone down are really upsetting to me. read more

My sister in law referred me to Moxie and I'm super grateful for her suggestion. Right off the bat when I called in and spoke to Robert, he was incredibly kind and patient with me. Today, Josh N. came by to do our pest inspection and treatment. Josh was super informative and so nice! He continuously asked for permission and consent to spray certain areas. I felt very comfortable and safe while he sprayed outside and inside our home. I can't remember a time when a company went above and beyond and treated me with such respect and kindness. Today, I cancelled service with Moxie Pest Control at two houses. I have been a customer with Moxie since 2012 at one house and nearly two years ago we added weed and pest control at a second house whereby Moxie FAILED to maintain weed control as contracted for. When service was cancelled because weed control at the house last added, Moxie charged an early termination fee even though they did not provide service. Moxie only spot sprays the yard and not the entire yard like professional landscapers do. I strongly recommend you do your research and read other Yelp and Google reviews and stay far away from this fraudulent company. read more

We've been using moxie for over a year! We had a moderate pest problem. We would have a cockroach inside every month or so and lots of smaller bugs and then black widows in the backyard. Ever since, we haven't had any of those issues and especially no roaches thank god! Some people may hate their sales tactics but I felt they were respectful and appropriate. Their prices are around what you'd pay anywhere else. When Ive needed in between services they're able to schedule me something quickly. Danny came by today and did a great job! Absolutely horrendous interaction with a door to door sales guy from Moxie. He came to my house twice! Once while I was picking up from school and then he saw my car and walked back to see what house I went to. We had company coming over and they pulled in to our driveway right as he walked up. We were saying Hi to our company and he was trying to talk over us greeting our guests. All while standing in the middle of my yard. It was bizarre. He kept talking about ants and spiders that live under my house. Meanwhile we are wrangling 5 kids back in the house. Read the room, dude! I told him I've had the same pest control for 6 years and we are 100% satisfied with him and he lives here in the neighborhood so I'm not interested. He literally would not stop talking until my guest who was holding a baby said "dude! She's good. You can leave now!"... he still kept talking and we had to close the door..... WILD! There is no way he is getting business like that. Our entire neighborhood is up in arms about his awful behavior. This company obviously stands for poor behavior and it's clearly how they're being trained because there were two separate men going door to door with the same behavior. Completely ignoring no solicitation signs and no respect for the phrase "I'm not interested". Appalling business practice. read more

Agressive and rude door-to-door sales representives made their way into our private gated community under false pretences two days in a row. I explained to the young man that came to my door that there were no solicitation signs at our entrances. He told me he used to be a lawyer (turned pest control solicitor??? ) and he knew his constitutional rights and wasn't about to leave. Our community management recieved more than a dozen complaints. After being excorted out by police, the merely returned later. If Moxie is using a 3rd party promotional company, they may want to reconsider their choice. read more

Clearly my no soliciting sign on my door isn't enough. Your door to door rep came to my house, took the time to read my sign and then still knocked...I was polite and heard him out, but when he came back again 6 hours later to knock again!? Are you kidding? When I made a remark I'd he could read my sign he says "My boss makes us do it anyways" If I wanted your service I would sign up. They show up whenever they want, no time frames are offered even when requested. They don't call ahead to let you know they're on the way. Show up, unable to do the job because we weren't told when they'd be there or that they were at least on the way. They charge anyways. I've texted & emailed multiple times with no resolution. I want my money back & to cancel my "contract" immediately. I need a company that can uphold their end of the contract. I will be pursuing further action if I don't hear back by end of day tomorrow. read more

The young man that came to my door knocked really aggressively rather than using the Ring doorbell. I asked through the closed door who he was. He indicated he was from Moxie and mentioned that they service some of my neighbors. He then made a comment about him being "too attractive to sit in the office". It was the weirdest and most awkward sales pitch. I said "no, thank you" several times. Saying it one time should be a sufficient response to cease the conversation. I understand that these sales jobs are probably pretty competitive, but these tactics are not the way to go. read more

Trevor had blatant disregard for my easily visible "No Soliciting - Do NOT Disturb residents" sign. After being solicited about a service I am not interested in, I asked Trevor if he noticed the sign. I knew that there was no way that he could have missed the large sign in firetruck red paint. He told me "Yes, I did see it." He then read the sign aloud and proceeded to try to sell me services I am not interested in. I found this to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never heard of this organization before, but will be telling EVERYONE (Including the BBB) to avoid a group that doesn't respect privacy. This organization did not respect me and I am not even a customer of their services. I am confident they disregard customer requests. Stay away from this company! read more

First, I will start by stating I gave ample time and opportunity for Moxie to resolve the issue they created before writing this review. BEWARE PET OWNERS I hired Moxie to treat my yard for ants. During the registration and scheduling I requested and stated several times that I did not want poison granules to be spread in my yard because I have very young puppies. I was assured by each Moxie representative that granules would not be placed in my yard. The Field Service Manager that arrived to evaluate my complaint even said to my husband that our account was documented "NO GRANULES". On the morning of 07/16/2021 the service technician, Carlos, came to treat the yard. With my husband standing next to me in front of our security cameras I had a conversation with Carlos about treating my yard. I specifically stated to him I did not want any granules, PERIOD. I reiterated to him again at the end of the conversation and confirmed no granules because I have young puppies. He assured me that he would not treat the yard with anything that would be of danger to my puppies. At that time my husband and I, along with all our dogs left for a bike ride. When we arrived back home Carlos was gone. We opened the front gate to let all the dogs into the backyard. We put away our bikes and walked through the house to the backyard (5 minute span). I enter the backyard witnessing my small 16 week puppies eating a thick layer of granules. I immediately panicked. I contact my vet and they instructed me to take the puppies to the emergency. I contacted Moxie and informed them of the situation. They emailed me the label information of the poison. I then rush them to the emergency. Since we are dealing with poison I had to call the Pet Poison Hotline and file a case. This way the toxicologist and vet can work together for the best treatment for the puppies. The toxicologist and vet decided to keep the puppies and treat them for ingesting poison. Based on the weight of the puppies the amount that they may have consumed could be severely toxic for them. Luckily, the puppies survived. Had I not caught the pups eating the poison we would have had a different turn of events. I contacted Moxie about the reimbursement of the emergency vet bill. I requested a meeting with the owner Austin Clark to discuss the negligence and breach of agreement which caused the emergency visit. I waited a week to be scheduled. This morning I was told that Austin could not meet with me. Sadly, Austin was not available to offer his "customer-focused service" as advertised on the Yelp listing. However, if I emailed them the emergency care report and bill that it would be forwarded to accounting and be reviewed. This afternoon Michael from accounting called me. He informed me that the chemicals that they use would not danger any animals. And that he would offer to cover the cost of my first treatment which was approximately $125.00. I questioned him about paying the full $810.29 emergency bill. He stated that on behalf of Moxie they will not cover the emergency vet bill. In this review I will post the label of the poison they spread in my yard. The chemical is Advance 375A EPA Reg No, 499-370. Note on the label in bold it states, "HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS" "PETS MAY BE ATTRACTED TO THIS PRODUCT". I will also post an excerpt from the vet report stating that the toxicologist said the dose ingested could be fatal. It truly disheartens me that Moxie will not take ownership of their mistake. I was patient and pleasant during communication, hoping they would do the right thing. I will pursue legal recourse for reimbursement of the emergency vet care. I will update this review with the outcome. My situation should make every consumer question the integrity of Moxie Pest Control. I do not recommend this company. Moxie is not a trusted business. I attest this review to be true and accurate. read more

Their reps are swarming through Sun City Grand today--the community FB page is loaded with complaints. A young woman came to my door this morning and tried to sign me up, telling me that several of my neighbors were already using Moxie--even though I have NEVER seen one of their trucks on my cul-de-sac. I told her that I was not interested, because I already had a pest control service and was happy with them. She then launched into a whole sales pitch about how their company was so much better. I had to close the door in her face--AND she ignored my NO SOLICITING sign. read more

We have a "no soliciting" sign posted, clear as day, right next to our front door. Can't miss it. Tyler came to our door TWICE last night and tried to hard sell us on Moxie's services. First time was in the middle of our dinner, second time was as we were trying to put our two year old to bed. Are you kidding me? I don't care how incredible your services are. Works great but if you cancel you pay $100 speprate and they charge you 2 times quarterly and did not say anywhere on papers. When I adresses the issue and said I wanted to cancel they just kept explaning the same thing but no one had told me this you have to click on a seprate thing in the agreement to see where it says it will charge you twice. I would not use this service, very complicated and stressful. read more
