I have moved and no longer live at my old residence on my account. Moxi REFUSED to cancel my account and it still remains active over 3 months after I canceled. They claim that I need to speak to an account manager when I called but none is available. When I moved I changed my number. They are somehow found my new number and called to tell me that my account is still active. Void thus company no matter what! I called in numerous times to cancel and to speak with management but they refuse to cancel me. read more

Still with Moxie. We really seen a decline in scorpions. Only 2 in the house this past year. We do caulk the outside perimeter block fence cracks which helps. We also go hunting at night for any who sneak across the fence line. Inside the wall is a perfect breeding ground for them. Moxie does spray the wall once in a while. They did have a price increase this month. Looking at how many fewer pests we have it is worth it. Their treatment nails the ants in the front yard sucessfully. If you feel they aren't doing a good job sweeping for cobb webbs or still have issues between your quarterly visits they will gladly come back out at no extra charge and take care of any issues. They also have a termite team if you would like a free evaluation. We have cameras around the perimeter of the house. We can see they do a great job spraying and removing cobb webbs. They stay away from our fruit trees as requested and some how they manager to maneuver around our lighting without knocking anything over. Employees are always nice. I do want to quit spraying as I am a health nut who rather not have chemicals, but the mass reduction in scorpions, ants, and black widows my husband feels we should keep it up. I agree, especially with little ones running around the house and yard. read more

I had Moxie Pest Control spray my home. The technician was very nice. My problem was that once he had finished spaying our home, he gave me a $25 Amazon gift card. When I went to use the gift card, It was only eligible for use if I posted a review on three different social media sites that had at least fifty people on the sites. In essence, do marketing for them. I did not think you were allowed to buy reviews by giving out amazon cards. It's ridiculous! read more

This company has zero respect for boundaries and shows clearly their unprofessionalism by training their door to door sales people to ignore the "no". Today it was a female which is even more disgusting as women know all the more how gross it is for someone to ignore a "no". Where can I get predator control? I have Moxie out quarterly to spray inside and outside of my house. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeriel W. today and asked him to only spray specific areas inside the house, then the normal areas outside the house, and that's exactly what I got. He was super friendly, courteous, on time and a pleasure to work with. read more

This company has the worst sales tactics I have ever encountered. Every summer, the same sales rep prowls my neighborhood for 3 days and hits every house 3 times, regardless of being told "no". He completely ignores the no solicitation signs on the door and rings the bell anyway, causing my dog to go berserk and waking my sleeping child. He simply refuses to take no for an answer, even after I told him we have a pest control company that services us as a personal favor for 1/4 of the price he's offering. Doesn't matter, he proceeds with the sales pitch and keeps talking even after the door is closed in his face and then still rings the bell the next 2 days to try for another round. Several of our neighbors have filed complaints with the township for granting him a peddler's permit and everyone warns each other on the community Facebook page that he's in the neighborhood. Our next door neighbor didn't answer the door when he rang the bell, so he reached for the sliding screen door to open it and knock and broke the handle off. I get the whole salesman work ethic of needing to be persistent and trying to persuade people to buy what you're selling, but this level of pushiness and blatant disregard for people's no solicitation signs makes me officially hate your company. If I am ever hard up for a pest control company, I will make 100% sure it's not going to be this one. And note: Before a company rep replies to this review with "We're sorry for this disturbance and we will look into it", it's obvious that you train your salespeople to be this persistent and irritating. People have been complaining for years and nothing changes. This company should be shut down by the BBB read more

Jeriel with Moxie Pest Control does not disappoint. We have recently had hotter weather than what has been the norm for this year and the scorpions were taking full advantage of the summer weather heat. I called Moxie and they were able to put my residence on the schedule right away. Jeriel came out first thing and treated the outside, inside, doorways, garages and even a little office I have in our garage. He was knowledgeable and friendly. I have a room inside with a fish tank and he advised not to spray in that room so NOT to harm the fish. Thank you! In addition, Jeriel also did webster around the windows, doorways, light fixtures and eves. Furthermore, Jeriel left sticky traps where he felt was necessary. One of their sales representatives came to my door last night and knocked despite my having two no solicitation signs up including one big one right next to the door, and another smaller one that the sales person claimed he didn't see on the front stoop railing that you can see from the driveway. The company owes me $50 since their agent (the sales representative) knocked on my door which by the sign means he accepted the terms to pay $50/minute). I called the number on the card the sales rep. gave me and left a message for Cameron Hammond, the branch manager and did not get a reply yet. The sales rep did not have the proper county permits that allow him to do sales door-to-door he only had company issued ID. When I told him he was in violation of Montgomery County Maryland code he said the permit was in the mail. I told him the code was quite clear in that he had to have the paperwork with him and told him if he went to any other houses I'd call the police as he would now be knowingly violating the county code. He said he planned on continuing and did continue to go door-to-door in violation of the code. Apparently he knew that because of the budget, Montgomery County Police, once they got to my house, told me that policy prohibits them from making a report for civil violations because they have too many criminal violations to deal with given their resources. No way will I ever do business which has no respect for my privacy or county code. read more

Doubt this will matter much, but the service is not effective. Gave them free reign to resolve the problem, but it only got worse, causing thousands of dollars damage to the wiring and electrical systems on a car that had only 6 thousand miles on it. I just had a sales rep come to my door. He disregarded my no soliciting sign and continued to knock. When he didn't stop the first time I went out to tell him I wasn't interested. I pointed to my sign and he said "I know" and continued with the pitch. I told him I wasn't interested and had a sleeping child, to which he responded "okay I'll talk quietly" and continued again. This is incredibly disrespectful and very clearly what they are told to do by the company, judging by other reviews. I NEVER leave negative reviews, but this infuriated me. Not only did you absolutely lose a potential future customer, but our entire neighborhood is speaking negatively about your company in our group Facebook page (including about the guy who likes to laugh at people who say no). I will be adding to that conversation, right after I post this. Do better. read more
