This review is based on a Doordash delivery after not being there for at least 4 years. This cafe has been one of my go-to places when I used to work closed by. The consistency of food has been fairly good. We were struggling on what to order for breakfast, so we decided to give this cafe a try based on my experience years ago. The order came within the time frame provide which was a plus. I had a cup of OJ and the corn beef hash. There was no doubt that the OK was fresh squeezed which was exactly how I remembered. The pouched eggs on the corn beef hash were they way they were supposed to be. I didn't remember having so much green unions mixed in the hash which was not too much of my appetite. It could be more golden as well. The portion was good which I had to split it into two meals, for breakfast and lunch. Otherwise, I would not be able to finish. It seemed that the food quality remained. I would need to stop by one day to see how the service is. Delivery wise, I would recorder from this cafe again. read more

Don;t get caught paying high restaurant prices for something you can make better at home. My Bloody Mary looked and tasted like it was poured straight out of the supermarket bottles filling Mo'z shelves. There was no discernible alcohol flavor, no celery stick like in the picture, no cocktail onions or carrots or anything besides two thin slices of pickle that belonged on a McD's burger. I had the Chef Salad here, and honestly, it was just okay. I feel like I could have probably made something similar at home, which makes it a bit disappointing. The salad didn't have anything really special about it, it was basically cut up pieces of cheese, deli meat, eggs, on a pile of lettuce, with some dressing. The size was decently filing though, I was full from it despite it mostly being lettuce and what not. And the dressing itself wasn't too bad. I was about to walk 20 minutes to a brunch place people kept telling me about, but I ended up walking past this spot and liking what I saw on the menu. There are so many options and I'd love to come back and try something else, because the service was really great but the Huevos Rancheros were pretty bad. The salsa they put on the rubbery eggs was pretty watery, making the unfried tortilla soggier the longer you went without eating it, which was awhile considering there was no chorizo or refried beans (they used black beans). The tortilla even had melted cheese on the inside, so you would think it would've been fried but it tasted like they microwaved it. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is very nice and inviting, the workers are all very friendly and helpful. I'm sure they have much better things on the menu! But if you want Huevos Rancheros or any other Mexican breakfast for that matter, I would go somewhere else. read more

I think it's significant that while the whole pride parade was marching down market street this place was full of queer families and couples of color. Food was great, staff was kind, lots of hearty options and good coffee. Kids in the place seemed super happy and well accommodated. Very un-corporate vibe, which is a beautify rarity. read more

I came to SF for vacation and was staying near Union Square. I looked up several breakfast spots and Mo'z seemed intriguing. Immediately upon walking in, the owner Mo greeted me and my guest with enthusiasm. He made several breakfast recommendations and was extremely helpful and friendly. The place was nearly filled with locals and tourists alike. We initially sat at a table of 4 when a family walked in. My guest and I got up to move to a recently available table for 2, when Mo kindly told us to stay seated and comfortable and that he would arrange for proper seating for the family of 4. Perhaps it's hard to put into words, but customer service like Mo's is unmatched. 10/10 recommend and I will be coming back every time I'm in SF. read more

I'm a fan! A little loud with the door open and machines running, but it was a great respite after a flight in and when I needed a place to call in to a meeting on mute. Luckily, the food was also great! I had their turkey sandwich because my brain was fried and couldn't take in the HUGE list of sandwich options they have. It was perfect, had just th right amount of sprouts for crunch, and came with a side salad of significant portion and what seemed like a house made vinaigrette. The WiFi was perfect for the video call, the staff were all very warm, and there was ample seating options. I'm so glad that I stumbled on this place and that I couldn't find the Starbucks I was searching for. This was a much better result! I was way too hungry and harried from travel to take pictures. So, not good. Why? I ordered 2 eggs, and bacon, and a large coffee; $29. The eggs were oddly tasteless. Bacon was okay. The "large" coffee that was $5 came in a standard mug (one size). When done, I asked the guy at the counter for a refill and he told me no refills allowed and that I would have to buy another $5 coffee. I already paid for a large I did not get. Salmon usually isn't something I go for on a menu, but Mo'z changed that. We stopped here for breakfast. The ambiance gave off a quaint cafe vibe: breakfast dates, some enjoying coffee starting work, etc. I could tell this place was loved by locals. They have an extensive breakfast menu. I went with the salmon scramble which was topped with hollandaise sauce and served with hash browns and toast. They made the eggs so creamy and the salmon wasn't that gross pungent fishy aftertaste you sometimes get. It paired very well with how they prepared it. The staff was covid mindful and very friendly. Came here after waiting with a friend for her bus in the freezing rain. I was looking for breakfast and a cafe to study in when I passed by here. It was pretty crowded (a good sign, but also made me nervous that I wouldn't find a seat) and was warm so I came in. Perhaps it was because it was so busy that the waitress wasn't too friendly, but she didn't give a most welcoming vibe. I ordered the Salmon scramble with egg whites (+$2), hash browns, and rye toast. It came out luke warm (when I love my food HOT), but they were very generous on the salmon!! which was well cooked. The platter did not look all too appetizing unfortunately. Also, the bread was buttered (which I dislike, why do restaurant decide wether I want butter or not??) and the hash browns tasted burnt and bland. Their hollandaise sauce, however, is absolutely excellent. One of the best really. I might not come back here because it's already very similar to crepe vine and squat and gobble, but the atmosphere and location are charming and very San Francisco so I might bring a visitor here for the charm. read more

Great place for breakfast/brunch! Even lunch! The menu is very extensive, I always want everything when I go. On top of that, the have special items written on smaller bulletin boards so look around before deciding on what you want (it'll be difficult to make a decision). I've tried the crab cake florentine and mo'z pancake combo. The crab cake florentine comes with a side, and I asked for fruits. It was pretty good and filled me up pretty well. I think I should have asked for hash browns because that looked really good from other pictures. The pancake combo was a decent size and you can choose your protein. The pancakes themselves weren't spectacular but I thought the combo came with a good variety of stuff ( standard breakfast combo). I want to come for lunch of one these days and try their sandwiches. This place was pretty good. It was a very short walk from my hotel room, so it was nice and easy. I went in at about 8:30 AM, and it was busy but not packed. Shortly after I got there though pretty much everything in the house was taken, so It's probably best to come here early. You order at the counter first, and then find your seat. Very large menu with a lot of different options, they have your classics like pancakes, waffles, corn beef hash, etc. But, they also have a few Mexican classic breakfasts, they have sandwiches, and they have a bunch of different smoothies. I opted for the corn beef hash and a large iced coffee. The corn beef hash was really delicious, it comes with two poached eggs on top, so that was really good, it didn't seem like the portion was very large however I was very full afterwards. The iced coffee was good, nothing too special about it, but certainly not a bad cup of iced coffee. The service was also good, the person at the counter was really nice, and the food runners were also very nice and attentive. They is mo' Mo's than y'all can shake a stick at in this city, including two Mo's Grills and a Mo Bar in the Mandarin Oriental. Just when you thought they just can't be mo' Mo's, here is Mo's with a 'z" - not to be mistaken for Liza with a Z, which would have to mean it would need to be in the Castro. But this one is across from the Westfield near Mint Plaza, and it's really a Squat & Gobble in disguise. Not as ambitious a menu but in the same spirit. Jamie W. and I come here on Sunday afternoons since it rarely fills up in here. Last Sunday, I just had a cup of coffee and a #3 Bagel with Cream Cheese, Sprouts, Red Onion and Tomato ($3.95) (see photo), as we both leisurely read the Sunday paper. That's the kind of place it is. No one's waiting for your table. The woman at the counter is very nice, and quite frankly, there should be mo' of her around. We chose this because of Yelp and we were not disappointed! Lots of flavor and not too salty like I thought it would. SALMON CREPE - $10.95 Grilled salmon, jack cheese, green onions, and sun-dried tomato pesto. Served with your choice of side. I'm so happy I chose this to share! It was amazing! This fancy looking dish was not so fishy in taste. I love the pesto sauce that just brings everything together! If you enjoy salmon and crepes, this is highly recommended cuz I really haven't seen this anywhere else! I chose the fruit side which consisted of pineapples, cantaloupes and strawberries. I was too full from the French toast I didn't try it. ORANGE JUICE - $3.95 Fresh squeezed orange juice! This was quite tasty and I enjoyed it. This place was absolutely horrible. I got their fruit salad and all the fruit was bland and so was the yogurt that came with it. The iced tea wasn't even sweetened when they claimed it was sweetened? I think the waitress just didn't want to bother. The service wasn't good at all. The overall ambiance was okay but nothing amazing or life changing for sure.
