I have lived on the 500 block for 16 years and this is an amazing add to the neighborhood. We've never had our own authentic taqueria this close. And I can tell you that the tortillas here are LEGIT. On to the experience. The staff is awesome, you will be well attended here. You can order at the register, but there is full wait service. The interior retains the French look, and has added some Mexican touches. There is a parklet outside. In the dining room, there are large open windows with bar seating. A true indoor / outdoor spot. On to the food. I got the Al Pastor tacos, which are traditional street style, though they were nice enough to add cheese to the tortillas. Red and green salsa on the side, and I'm told they're looking into a spicy sauce as well. Open on Friday and Saturday until Midnight. Check www.divistaqueria.com for their weekly hours and menu. Directly across the street from both Emporium and Independent on Divis. And a delicious lunch if you're in NOPA. Place will blow up and couldn't happen to better people. This place fills a special need in this neighborhood. First off, the guy named Mo who runs this cafe is a "hands on" owner who definitely aims to please you. His staff follows his lead with genuine smiles and personal courtesy. I've eaten 3 breakfasts and 2 lunches here since they opened. The low prices are quite a bargain for healthy & ample servings of breakfast classics. And, they listen to you when you ask for small changes to the menu's selections to suit your particular tastes. They open early, so I've been able to get a nutritious breakfast before starting my workday nearby. The lunches I've enjoyed were served quickly and deliciously, too. I'm glad Mo'z is downtown as an affordable cafe that serves up a great meal with personal attention that's lacking in so many other venues in the neighborhood. I don't get the three and a half rating..... this place is great!!! sure, it's sandwiches and you probably don't expect much from a sandwich, but it was artfully crafted!! my sister and I both ordered the crab salad sandwich, and it was a near orgasmic experience!! or maybe I was just really hungry, but this was REALLY good!! Came in earlier for lunch and loved the place right off the bat! The atmosphere was really nice and the cafe played really good music! The food was great I had the BBQ crepe w/ ceaser salad. Came in this morning for a tuna melt and cream cheese bagel with bacon. The Thai tea was one of the best I've had. He had one of those juicing machines that was super awesome. My bagel had a generous amount of bacon and my boyfriend rated his tuna melt 4/5 stars. Delicious cafe with a unique menu. I ordered the salmon scramble and found the salmon to be quite fishy tasting. Hash brown are good. Portion size is on the smaller size and cost is slight more than I like to pay for breakfast . I would like to try the breakfast burrito next time. read more

One of our teammates is vegan and the kitchen made her a vegan version of the risotto that's on the menu, and we were all surprised by how genuinely delicious it was. A couple people got the salmon and cleared their plates. The only food leftover were a few slices of pizza and two wings, which I took home because no one else wanted to and I wasn't about to watch pizza and wings go to waste. Dessert was fantastic. I went with the ice cream sandwich that was made with roasted banana ice cream sandwiched between two lemon cookies. That was great. I also ordered the Peaches Peaches Peaches cocktail, which amused the waiter, and loved it. If you love peach and fruity cocktails, that's the one for you. This seemed to be a good venue for a party of our size. The wait staff didn't seem overwhelmed, we had plenty of room at the long table we were seated at for drinks and plates, and the room was quiet enough that we had no issue hearing each other talk, even down the table. Solid venue for a team dinner with really good food. Just one note though: take a look at the food options in the drink menu. For whatever reason, some of those weren't listed on the dinner menu and I wouldn't have known they had a couple of the dishes (the sausage pizza and wings, for example) if I hadn't checked it. A little odd, but it was a great meal overall.

It's in the main lobby opposite Reception. The hotel's Powell Street entrance is now only for Bourbon Steak patrons. To access the hotel proper, one must go around the corner and enter via the door on Geary Street by the porte-cochère. It's a pleasant space, filling one side of the lofty lobby. Marble floor and counters. Wooden café tables. You order food and/or coffee at the counter and if you are dining in, you'll get a number to put on your table and someone will bring your food to you when it's ready. For coffee, just wait around and it will be ready shortly. The menu includes pastries, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta, depending on the time of day. There are grab-and-go pre-made food items in a cooler, along with a variety of beverages. Packaged snacks are also displayed for purchase. The prices for the chips and such are well in excess of what you'd pay a a local shop, of which there are several down on Market Street. You're paying for convenience. In the course of my most recent stay at the St. Francis, I had coffee several times, as well as a breakfast sandwich and a pepperoni pizza. I have had their pasta on previous visits. The food and coffee are generally good and the people behind the counter are nice. I was particularly impressed with the pizza, which is among the better ones I've had from a hotel restaurant. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was supposed to have prosciutto and tomatoes, but what was on the roll was mostly egg. The pasta is pretty good. I like the Nonna's Ragu, if you're wondering what sauce to choose. It's hotel prices, but pretty solid if you don't want to leave the hotel. They do close at 9:00 p.m. as of this writing, and the hotel doesn't have any other grab-and-go kiosk, so be sure to get what you need before it gets too late. Otherwise your only other option will be to go out or order the pricey in-room dining.

We stay at this hotel often and there is not much you can get here that will be covered by the credit but it is a nice little discount if you want to grab a snack. We have purchased sandwiches, drinks, soda, juice, small snacks and lots of different pastries over the years. When the Clock Bar was closed we also purchased alcohol here. The prices are high and the food is mediocre but it's great in a pinch so you don't have to venture out. I do enjoy their seasonal daily trio of pastries when I want something sweet. It's presented well with good flavor and variety. They even offer a few stuffed animals and miscellaneous items here as well so it's worth checking our of you're staying here, but to anyone in the city looking for a place to eat, this is not somewhere I would plan to visit unless you are already a guest in the hotel.

Upon entering, you might have to wait a little bit by the door before being seated, out of the way of the service station. Once you're seated, they'll ask you for any drink preferences and then leave you to make your entree decisions. A different server will then take your order. I honestly recommend any breakfast fare (I'm particularly fond of the Mighty Moose for eating and having delicious leftovers but I've also gotten their fullstack with bananas AND chocolate chips which was perfect too). I haven't tried any of their dinner items yet but look forward to trying it. They're very good at refilling coffee as well. If you're lucky, there's a very sweet server that I enjoy meeting. The hangover was a Mexican breakfast. That was absolutely delicious. The chef knows what he's doing. I traded out the bread for tortillas as it way better with a meal. The French toast was perfectly made light fluffy and delicious. The ambience is busy city life. The place is buzzing. The service is amazing. Everybody is super super friendly and helpful and Prompt. Even if there's a line, you won't have to wait too long. They're very good at getting everyone seated. If we lived in San Francisco, this would be a go to for us.
