Finally writing this after almost 2 decades of coming here! And the reason is there are finally great upgrades being done to the place. I would've expected them soo much sooner but better late than... There is something for everybody at Mozarts. Live music is always a plus plus. The pastries are mostly delicious and there are a variety of options. And obviously what makes this place a hotspot is the lake austin views and being waterside. Nothing beats watching the sunset while listening to live music and sipping on your coffee. I do have one MAJOR complaint and feel this is a must in the upgrade process and that is the bathrooms. Given how busy this place is, i expect a much cleaner, and modern and not a roadside quality bathroom. Please consider spending some time and much needed money there. read more

Mozart's is so expensive for no reason. I came here for the light show with a big group, and we each had to pay $6 for a reserved table. The tables were tiny and didn't have any chairs. I don't know why you would provide tables at a cafe without chairs. The "show" was just some flashing and changing lights, and I've seen better in people's front yards. I paid $7 for the most basic, mediocre cup of hot chocolate, and my friend paid $12 for some hot chocolate/coffee blend. They don't have prices on the menus, so it's a mystery until you pay. In the previous few times I've been to Mozart's, I came to study and the wifi was literally never working. The lakeside view is nice, but that's really the only good thing. If you want to spend an unreasonable amount of money for the vibes, then this is the right place. But the Christmas lights aren't even worth coming for the vibes. read more

Another great time at Mozarts. I'm surprised there wasn't more people. Maybe because it's still very early in the season and it was a Monday. But in my opinion, this was the best time to come. Hardly anyone there, easy to find a small table. Great Christmas music classics and a beautiful light show to watch. They played for about 15 minutes and took a break. As you know, across the street is a large parking lot. As you enter the Mozart area, to the right is the general standing section. They do have table you can stand at. They sell hot chocolate and pretzels, and some other snacks like cookies, and of course coffee. I had a hot chocolate with mini marshmallows and a very large salted pretzel. Both were delicious. The hot chocolate was nice as it was chilly tonight. They do have a very nice reindeer sleigh for pictures. It's all lit up nicely. And there is a dance floor. Although I didn't see any dancer at the time. The kids enjoyed playing as the floor of the dance floor does light up. And there's a huge disco ball above. read more

My friends and I dined here on a Sunday around noon. The wait time was about 25 minutes in line, then took another 5 minutes to find a seat. Not too bad considering it was Sunday after Thanksgiving. Their iced draft coffee did not disappoint! For those who haven't tried it - it's an instant infusion of nitrogen resulting in a smooth, creamy and frothy taste - delish. I stopped by on my last day in Austin. It was roughly a 20 minute bike ride from downtown Austin. It features coffee with latte art. I ordered a large lavender latte. It was a nice spot to sit relax do some work or even read a book. There is a plethora of outdoor seating featuring the Tom Miller Dam and the Colorado River. There are turtles and fishes that swim in the waters. They also offer wifi, bathrooms, and a nice cup of joe. I would swing by all the time if I lived in Austin. read more

The pros here are some truly exceptional positives Firstly, their space is absolutely massive; I can't imagine there ever being a situation where you could not only find a seat, but also be able to be spread out and very comfortable regardless of group size or type of work you're trying to get done Second, they have an option for bottomless hot, iced, and cold brew coffee for under 5$ Some other positives are their menu of drink and snack options is super extensive, would be very hard to get bored coming back here repeatedly For the negatives, the cold brew wasn't anything spectacular; if you have it without a significant amount of milk it is fairly acidic. First time purchasing a ticket to the Christmas event and honestly the way it's set up and handled is very smooth. Lots of photo ops and our group of 4 had a great time drinking hot chocolates and eating pretzels! The light show to the music is a treat along w the live music on the piano. Takeaways: Pastries were alright View and vibes were amazing I'm going to start this review off by saying I'm not a coffee person and so I did not try their coffee and this review does not include their coffee. Ok that note I a slice of the opera cake which has layers of chocolate ganache, cake, and the cashier said there was some espresso in there. It was decent; I liked the contrast of texture of the ganache and cake but was a little too dense and sweet to really enjoy a whole slice. My friend got the mixed berry tart and it was also alright too but the crust was so dense we couldn't even split it with a fork. Definitely the highlight was the outside deck seating area with the view over the water. We were there right around golden hour and the sun setting over the water was breath taking. There's plenty of seating and a stage with live music at times so I would definitely go back to check that out sometime. There were a bunch of people just doing work on the tables and enjoying the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans. Recommendation: Perfect place to go and hang out or do work for a few hours. I finally made it out here! Why have I waited so long??? Pictures on social media does no justice for how wonderful this place is. We arrived after 9am today (Easter) and I thought dang there's a lot of people when I saw the line. However, the line moved fast and there's so many seating that is nicely spaced with a wonderful view of the lake. Ok - I'm a sweet tooth so as soon as I stepped in, I knew this spot will be my get away from Round Rock for a few hours hideaway. There's so many goodies to choose from and as long as they have Chai - I am a happy camper. Since this was my first visit, I wanted to go basic with my pastry. I got me a regular butter croissant and did I mention this guy who kept coming in from behind me with trays of desserts and they looked deelish! The croissant was buttery and soft on the inside and flaky on the outside. There is indoor and outdoor seating on different levels and different sizes of tables to sit at which is good for singles, couples and groups. Plus dogs are allowed outside. I can't wait to bring Crixus, he is a diva and wants to be seen. Nearby restroom and it was clean. There's ducks passing by in the lake, I guess they want some yum yum. I am a Mozart's Coffee Roasters fan. The spot on Lake Austin is just beautiful during the day, and I've enjoyed it on a summer and fall day with friends with kiddos and dogs. All three visits I parked across the street, and parking is almost always full and a bit precarious. It is worth it once you get down to Mozart's. It would be important for folks with mobility issues to park in the main area (or be dropped off). There is a lift so you can access the main area with a wheelchair or without having to use chairs. Last night I went for the first time to see their holiday lights, and it was really fun. First of all, this is a well-oiled operation with multiple temporary pop-up spots serving coffee, hot coco, and sweets. The main counter remained open with a full selection too, and the staff were moving things along quickly with skill. I enjoyed my hot chocolate, although it was SUPER sweet. A little kid next to me drinking one said to her dad, "I'm gonna be up all night!" I thought: Me too with this sugar, friend. My mom loved her latte. We enjoyed the lights, Christmas music, and the lit piano was gorgeous. I wanted to hear more piano music, but we came after 9:30 PM so maybe more live music was earlier in the night. I think this is a great place to bring out of towners and enjoy holiday fun. It was after Christmas and still packed though, so keep that in mind if you don't like crowds. read more

This review is for the Mozarts "Covid Cautious" Christmas Light Show. My fiance reserved a table to surprise me for my birthday. Knowing Mozarts had a great outdoor patio and they're supposedly taking extra precautions to socially distance everyone, it seemed like a safe way to get out of the house and enjoy some holiday fun. Instead of "Covid cautious", it seemed like Mozarts packed their patio to the same capacity pre-covid. When we first arrived, there was an incredibly packed long line to get in, no social distancing enforced in the line at all. Even worse, tables were set up less than 6 feet apart, with everyone taking off their masks for eating and drinking. From my picture, people from one table can literally bump into the next table. We at table on the lower patio, which is the exact place you want to be if you didn't want to see the light show because their tree decorations completely block off the light show from this angle. Why would they set up tables here if you couldn't see anything? I get Mozarts needs to make a living and are using this as a promotion to get more people through the doors, but seriously calling it "Covid Cautious" then shamelessly cramming tables and mask-less people together is not it. read more
