The bathroom had not been updated since the 70s and a small leak from the plumbing was starting to cause water spots on the ceiling of the room below. We had several companies come out to bid on the project but ultimately chose LFM because we trusted them and worked well with Tommy. The project went smoothly and Tommy frequently stopped by to check on progress. I really liked the WhatsApp thread used to communicate since it kept everyone on the same page. They also provided an easy to use spreadsheet to help track what we needed to purchase for the project and when we would need it. Tommy was always great to jump in and provide recommendations when we got stuck since this was our first remodel project. Our goal was to open up the room as much as possible since it was originally small and crammed. Tommy and Jose did a great job providing recommendations and confirming what we could and couldn't due with the space. They ended up creating a lot more space by removing a doorway frame, removing unnecessary soffits, and converting the door to a pocket door. The rest of the crew was always friendly and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. They were also easy to work with for any remaining punch list items. We love the final result and the kids are so happy to have a new (pink) bathroom to use. We also ended up adding a few small projects at the end since we had such a good experience with the team. We had them re-insulate our attic, including removal of the old insulation and foam boards. They also demoed a built-in cabinet in our hallway and repaired the wall so we can make the space more usable. Overall the LFM team was great to work with and we'll reach out again for our next project!

The contract was to insulate and drywall our detached garage, including R-30 wall and attic insulation, which we paid for in full. Unfortunately, their subcontractor installed R-15 insulation in the walls instead of the agreed-upon R-30. The attic was also only partially insulated. Because the attic was difficult to access, I asked the company to provide pictures showing the completed insulation. They sent me photos claiming to show our attic, but the pictures were actually of someone else's attic. I did not discover this until later, when an HVAC company was working in our attic and showed me pictures confirming that the insulation was only partially installed. This was not simply poor workmanship--it was misleading and dishonest. We paid for work that was not completed according to the contract, and we were given pictures that did not even show our property. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be extremely careful and verify the work yourself before making any final payment.

I didn't have the budget to do a complete renovation so I got onto Yelp to find a reasonably priced company that would do a decent job resurfacing. Out of all the companies I contacted, Jose was the first person to respond to my request for a quote (he reached out to me in an hour or so). I read a review on here that says he does the classic "under promise and over deliver." I completely agree. He gave me a quote, but warned me it could be higher if they found some issues when they dug into the work. Thankfully we had none of those issues! We nailed down the scheduling over text, which for me is the most convenient way to schedule these kinds of things. He was very communicative when he needed to change the schedule by a day. Also, he was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive in all my interactions with him. They did the job in about 4 hours and I was blown away by how nice it looks. Not only did he fix the cracks and holes in the tub, but he also removed an outdated metal bar (for handing washcloths) and completely restored the tile around the top of the tub. The whole bathtub started as a dingy yellowed thing, and now gleams in a beautiful white color. Again, see the after pictures I posted. After they finished, Jose verbally went over how to care for the tub with me, and then he emailed me written instructions as well. In addition to that, Jose also gave me suggestions for replacing the hardware in the shower (you'll notice in the pictures there's no shower head or water handles...those are coming soon:). I highly recommend Jose and All Surface Renew. When it comes time to resurface the tub in my other property, I'll be contacting Jose again!

I'd give 'em a 6 out of 5 if I could :-)

With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Fast forward to March 2026: as we began preparing for broader home renovations, we reconnected with them for an updated whole-house quote. After hiring a handyman to take care of minor repairs around the house, we were finally ready to paint by May. Because 21st Century is so popular with local school districts and commercial clients, their summer schedule fills up fast. However, they promised they could start our project in August during the first week of school, and they delivered right on schedule. Throughout the planning phase, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions and accommodating whenever I needed to update our project scope. When work began, the execution was incredible. They initially estimated the job would take between a week and a half to two weeks. For our nearly 3,200 sq. ft. home, we stayed at a nearby Airbnb expecting a longer process, but their team was so efficient they started on Monday and wrapped up completely by Saturday! The quality of work was outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-notch. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was amazed when I did my initial walkthrough. There were only a few minor spots that needed touch-ups; everything else looked flawless. The owner, Gary, and project manager, Mike, maintained excellent communication and knew the exact status of the project at all times. The crew was courteous, respectful of our belongings, and made sure the house was securely locked up every day. During the final walkthrough, Gary personally ensured I was 100% satisfied and had the team address the few touch-up spots right on the spot. They were so appreciative of our flexibility with scheduling that they even brought a box of donuts to the final walkthrough! While we'd had our builder…read moreinstall built-in desks and shelves in our study, we found the cost very high (and the quality lacking). Our 14' long living room wall looked very stark with its small TV cabinet and wall-mounted TV set, and we realized we needed something more in proportion with the room. So I looked on Yelp and found Josh Hager...and followed up with his website. I was impressed with the size of the projects he tackled, so figured he might be able to do a good job for us. Josh responded quickly to my first e-mail and came over within a matter of days to give us an estimate. He looked over my drawings and came up fairly quickly with a cost I found reasonable. Josh inspired so much confidence that we asked him that same evening to look at another space (upstairs) that needed a built-in. Once again, the estimate was reasonable. A week or so later, we thought of another project Josh could tackle: our master closet. Again, a reasonable estimate. We gave him deposits for all three projects. Josh is very busy, and with good reason. He does excellent work at reasonable prices, is totally honest and does not inflate the costs of materials. He uses good-quality materials (no MDF, thank heavens!) And Josh makes recommendations that improve on whatever you might have in mind, based on his breadth of experience. It's all about quality at a reasonable price. Josh uses great hinges on cabinet doors; soft close and push-button removable. Further, his estimates for both materials and labor, at least in our case, were spot-on relative to what we ended up paying. We felt it was worth waiting a few months before Josh could get to our project. Our largest projects were installed by Josh and a helper in a couple of days. The paint-grade wood and great workmanship made the wall units look so nice that we were tempted to leave them unpainted. We actually did leave the interiors of the cabinets unpainted...and they look great. Josh was able to connect us with a painting company to do the finish work within a week or so after he completed installation. The end results were phenomenal; the cabinets Josh built totally changed the look and feel of our rooms in a good way. The quality of his work and the scale of the project made the cabinets a focal point in our living room. We are very pleased and won't hesitate to call Josh again if we need any wood work. Lastly, it's now been about 4 years since our cabinets were installed and painted. I've updated my rating to 5 stars due to how well the cabinets have performed for us over the years. Side comment: I find it odd that so many reviews were screened out, given I can tell many (if not most) are legitimate, based on photos on the Triple Crown website.

The cabinets and walls needed a total refresh of paint, and all that new woodwork had tons of caulking/filling/sanding/priming etc to do. Then we needed new crown molding added to our half bath, and there were several sheetrock patches plus some ceiling cracks which needed good prepping and feathering in. Also, our front and back doors needed to be repainted. So - a lot of work! And I am picky about quality. I chose Austin Professional Painting because they seemed well organized, well qualified, and ready to go at a scale of enough workers that we could get back to living in the downstairs of our house in a reasonable amount of time. Their comfort with good quality paint was also a key factor in my choice. So: the guys who came out to do the work, Carlos and Ivan - plus another couple of guys on certain days, were very nice, polite, and extremely hard working. They did a very good job and I am satisfied with the work. I would hire Austin Professional Painters again (and probably will this fall when we get around to renewing the master bath), and I definitely recommend them. I had MP Drywall and Remodeling, owned by Mark Pitz, remodel my bathroom, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The project included removing the bathtub and installing a shower, painting the room, and installing a new sink faucet, flooring, and a door. I absolutely love my new bathroom--it's now the most comfortable and beautiful room in the house. MP Drywall and Remodeling wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but they were very reasonably priced and right in the mid-range of the estimates. I chose them because they had previously done an excellent job installing a new floor and repairing a wall at my daughter's house, and they did not disappoint. The installation time was reasonable, and Mark was diligent about keeping me informed of any delays or issues, which were minimal. The workers were friendly, skilled, and efficient, and the quality of the work really shows. I can't say enough good things about this company or this remodel. I partnered with Mark & MP Drywall for two projects: a barn door installation and again for a much bigger garage to home office conversion. Mark is always super responsive and takes complete ownership of his projects. Even when unexpected things cropped up, Mark never tried to shirk responsibility and always worked with us to find a solution as quickly as possible. As far as quality and workmanship, he wasn't happy unless I was happy and I have no doubt that he will stand behind his work. For various reasons the project took a lot longer than expected, but at times Mark rolled up his sleeves and jumped in himself to get things over the line. I hired Eliab of The Good Tile to remove our 90s bleh kitchen floor tile, remove our backsplash…read moretile, and install over 300 square feet of new flooring tile plus new backsplash, and extensive accent wall tiling in the backsplash tile. My new floor tile has a pattern, and the backsplash tiles were 2.4" x 8" ceramic hand glaze ceramic tiles, and so neither would be easy to install unless the tile installer was very skilled. I thought the review photos on Yelp showed Eliab already has an extensive body of work done well, and I loved that he specializes in tile so I knew that he should be very competent at it. And he and his guys Salvi and Rafael were excellent! They worked hard and did very precise work. That was a ton of cuts and joints to line up perfectly with all that subway tile, and it looks wonderful. The cuts around light switches and power receptacles: also precise. He was as good as his word about showing up, doing it right, and cleaning up as they went. He earned my trust, was good to work with, and I would happily hire him again. I definitely recommend! I will post pictures for now as is - but keep in mind the construction is still going on so they will not look as great as they should. I'll try to remember to update our photos when the remodel is truly done.

Fast forward to March 2026: as we began preparing for broader home renovations, we reconnected with them for an updated whole-house quote. After hiring a handyman to take care of minor repairs around the house, we were finally ready to paint by May. Because 21st Century is so popular with local school districts and commercial clients, their summer schedule fills up fast. However, they promised they could start our project in August during the first week of school, and they delivered right on schedule. Throughout the planning phase, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions and accommodating whenever I needed to update our project scope. When work began, the execution was incredible. They initially estimated the job would take between a week and a half to two weeks. For our nearly 3,200 sq. ft. home, we stayed at a nearby Airbnb expecting a longer process, but their team was so efficient they started on Monday and wrapped up completely by Saturday! The quality of work was outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-notch. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was amazed when I did my initial walkthrough. There were only a few minor spots that needed touch-ups; everything else looked flawless. The owner, Gary, and project manager, Mike, maintained excellent communication and knew the exact status of the project at all times. The crew was courteous, respectful of our belongings, and made sure the house was securely locked up every day. During the final walkthrough, Gary personally ensured I was 100% satisfied and had the team address the few touch-up spots right on the spot. They were so appreciative of our flexibility with scheduling that they even brought a box of donuts to the final walkthrough! Our home literally feels brand new now, and we are so excited to enjoy it for years to come. I will definitely be hiring 21st Century for any future painting needs.
