I was dropping off our WiFi router as we're moving across the country and no longer able to continue using Xfinity's services. They made this process such a breeze! The guy behind the counter scanned a barcode found on the router, checked my ID to confirm my identity and then basically just sent me on my way after I confirmed that they cancelled all future service. Couldn't have been easier! All of the employees were very friendly and polite despite the fact that I showed up 30 minutes before closing and a few more customers walked in behind me. Truly appreciate the positive attitudes and friendly service here!!

A female male employee was assigned to assist me purchase new Internet service. As I am a senior citizen with no technological knowledge, poor hearing, and nearly legally blind, I had questioned her repeatedly on every feature, price, term, and requirements on new service to purchase the suitable product for my situation, but she was unimaginably unprofessional, disrespectful, impatient, rude, and abusive. She ridiculed, embarrassed, made me feel stupid, ignorant, insecure, and worthless. When I asked for other staff to assist me, she shouted at me to sit down and take the equipment which I was trying to purchase. When I told her that I made an appointment at 1pm, she yelled at me "Do you want to finish (the purchase) or not?!" As I was very intimidated by her behavior, I responded "Yes" and asked her what I need to do. She ordered me to just sign the purchase agreement. The entire time, the store manager was defending her unacceptable behavior and made me feel that I was wrong to expect better customer service.

I said he could apply it to our account for 6 months so I did not have to worry about paying them each month for the next 6 months. In the meantime the service which is run through a Roku box kept going down. We only had continuous service for a few weeks out of the 3 months that we had been connected. Almost 3 weeks ago the service went down completely. JT does not answer the phone and cannot still give us a specific date as to when the service will be restored, only to say that they have developers working on the app and they were hacked. I asked him to refund the advance money that I paid him or at least a prorated portion so I could go and get a different service. He said he has to ask him management. That was last week. I have sent him several text messages and called several times and have not received any response. This service is most likely a SCAM. DO NOT USE.

Ugh... I have been trying to help my dad with his Optimum cable issues. For weeks his printers kept…read moredropping off the network. We have tried four different printers, resets, etc. So maybe it's the router. We exchanged the router and were told "it's activated and ready to go." Sure, that is after another hour spent with tech support on the phone. This doesn't happen some of the time, it happens all of the time! But, that fixed the problem, so it was an Optimum router issue. Now, one day later, the cable box is giving me an error every time I try to switch the channel with the guide. And the video goes on and off. I have been through all of the troubleshooting procedures with no luck. -Update. After some research and troubleshooting, I found that the cable box uses the modem/router to update the guide. It turns out that the cable box is incompatible with the new modem/router. Hmmm, you think that they would have known that when they issued us the new modem/router. I guess it's another trip to their store. I did find that connecting an Ethernet cable between the router and cable box fixed the problem after a reboot. -Optimum, your Yelp comments from "Business Owner" are not helpful. You see your one-star average review and are doing nothing about it. No business with one-star is worthy of the customers that support them!
