Awful awful service. Dropped by numerous agents then start over every time. QR code did not work to install new modem. TV's don't connect after moving 1/2 mile. Service technician didn't show 2 days in a row and agent didn't even know 4th of July was a holiday for workers there! The phone pkg is a joke it does not set up easily and texts still do go through. They disconnected the wrong modem when moving and on the wrong date! Asked to speak to supervisors by phone but get blown off; no human to speak with. This is a review regarding XFINITY as a service, which is provided to this area of Houston. This is a warning testimony to tell all people to stay away unless they want Internet service that cuts out without warning or notice several days a month and customer service that is useless to help. Every single person's negative review here is true. Comcast / Xfinity is the worst company ever. We have had constant outages for days, month after month, sometimes multiple times a month. Their customer service is non-existent, and they even bar you from getting any support or help when the network is down - they literally shut down the helpline for those with issues until the issue is resolved. Which for the downed area can be for days. Imagine this, the Internet is like communication utility to the outside world in this digital age. It is analogous to power as utility to give you electricity. Now would you want every month for a few days, your electricity or Internet to be down, WITHOUT WARNING? Sure you can get by somewhat with your phone/hotspot, but just like having a backup electric generator, not everything can be done effectively this way and it is not practical to run your whole home connectivity like that. Went to buy a new phone on an account that already has 4,phones. First they took a picture of front and back of my license. I told them I didn't want to finance my phone and they told me I had to give them my ss#. They said we would get $400 off the phone so gave it to them. A gentleman twice my age size and obviously of a different ethnicity came in after me, and was not only greeted politely, but was then escorted to the counter to proceed with getting his question answered... Wow, so many bad reviews. My wife and I definitely had the opposite experience. We signed up on line for internet service and picked this store to pick up the equipment for self installation. We dropped by after lunch on Saturday for pick up and also to return my youngest daughter's equipment. There was a short line, but it moved quickly with four employees working. The technician that helped us was friendly and efficient. The return and pick up of equipments took less than 10 minutes. The store was located in a small strip center, so parking was limited. By the way, self installation was easy with the mobile app. read more

These people should just quit and find something else to do... every 20min internet drops. call customer service getting a guy from India, they tell every thing is fine on there end.. obviously is wasn't or I wouldn't be calling. after two hours of sitting on hold and and powering off and switching stuff. they tell me I should buy a new modem. not that they would give me a new modem to try, hooked every thing back up same issue. I ran a third party program and it recorded 200 plus disconnections in the week. I got some one to come only to be told there was problem at the main box. The company had a monopoly in my area. but told me it was a loss area and they would not be coming out to fix the issue.. no credit follow up I Still have 3 months on my service agreement. i talked to my neighbors who were having same issue. no response or follow up. on the ticket issue. If you are in Pearland or the surrounding area and you have a choice do not use these Comcast/Xfinity or what ever their other brand is. otherwise id suggest using mobile hotspot. from att or who ever else does cell service. So disappointed with Comcast / a.k.a. Xfinity they and criminals they manipulated us to get two phone lines !! I was already an Internet customer and they asked me if they can provide a better service than what we had with boost mobile (I was it 21 year year customer of Virgin Mobile now Boost Mobile) Because of the issues boost was going through we went ahead and switched and when they told me my wife's phone was not available to operate on their system. He said no worries will send you a new phone for free when the phone arrived. It already had a number attached to it wanting to wait to get the best out of what I paid for. I waited three weeks to turn the phones on because I had already paid for my other phone service, I turn the phones on when I asked why the bill was so high he said oh it was just first taxes. Our bill was supposed to be no more than $75 a month for two lines because I upgraded my iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13 to lines 38 $16 for the iPhone the other phone. My wife would've been free I poured in my life and remove the line the attached, I asked if I needed to do the same thing with my wife I said now if you want a local number you can have that following month they started charging me $18 more bringing it to $91 I try to get to the bottom of it figuring out what happened bottom line I needed to port my boost mobile number over to the one they had already attached a number to ? ..... The line you told me that I didn't need to do that. (which I still have the boost mobile line for a couple more weeks. This is why I stick to pre-paid companies like this rip people off and worst thing about it it's all in the notes and then admit it, but NO one fails to help. They all say sorry there's nothing we can do. :( the customer service rep actually said Yeah sometimes they lie and don't know what they're doing over on the Internet side. I purchased an Iphone 16 pro max in store back in September, The phone was to be shipped to my homee via fed ex. After days of my phone not arriving, the tracker finally said the package was lost. I went to the store, got a claim number from fed ex. Thr manager was rude and less than helpful. She assured me that the payments on the device would stop anf I woulld be refunded. Fast forward to Feburary 2025, I am still being billed monthly for a phone that I never recieved, I have talked to customer service and had to start reecording my calls becsuse they do not take notes like they claim they do. I was promised twice that this would be rectify seeing as its been months! NOTHING! I have been promised comps, refunds and a replacement phone on 1/16 per our phone call and then spoke with someone else that did not see that on my account, Xfinity is just dry stealing from me at this point and its the worst experience ever! I went into the store to ask how long I had left to payoff my phone because I was wanting to get a new one. While the clerk was looking up the information he asks me, "you couldn't find it on the app" or "was it not on the app" something like that and that upset me. Why does it matter, I'm in the store already. Just answer the question and don't question me on why I didn't use the app. A better approach would have been to let me know the information and then tell me, that there's an app in case I'd like to look up the information in that manner in the future. It's a Monday afternoon and there were no other customers. It's not like they were busy. read more

Xfinity agent contacted me back in Oct 2023 as a current Xfinity internet customer for many years to set up mobile service with them. I was offered the promotion for 2 lines of unlimited talk, text and data for $30/mth which is plastered on the front of the store and discount on my internet service. However, when the account was set up it was set up for 2 GB not unlimited. The phones were sent to my home, but I had trouble setting up the phones so I went into the store for assistance around 11/15. STORE AGENT CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE TO HELP SET UP THE PHONES. This part went smoothly for the set up. A few weeks later I noticed that the 2 for 1 unlimited for the phones was not reflected on my account so I reached out to the online customer service who advised it was corrected. I was told it had been updated. However, when the next bill generated it didn't show. I contacted online customer service again. The agent misunderstood me and turned off both my cellphones. I think it was a language barrier so I overlooked it and just asked to speak to a supervisor to have them help me. The supervisor reactivated the lines and told me to allow 24 hrs for billing updates. Two weeks later still not corrected. Go online and agent tells me they can't correct the phone planes going back now I already signed the contract so it can only go forward. No credits allowed. I'm thinking surely there is a misunderstanding because my numerous contacts must be in the system. Today 1/14/2024 I go into the store and a person who identifies himself as the manager Nathan Gonzalez. He was also acting as the greeting. I walked in first, but had to wait for him to greet 3 others and see what they wanted before he helped me. I provided my ID and phone number. I explained the situation as I have stated above 4 times. I expressed that the overages should be credited to me as this was an error. I also went further to explain that I had a global travel pass that should have kicked in during the days I was out of the country for those 8 days. Its as if I'm being double billed. Nathan was not responsive and told me to contact customer service. I explained that I had done so numerous times and was told to come into the store. I asked him to contact customer service for me to get this resolved. He said no. At this point I'm livid and don't understand why this is so difficult. The sign is on the store window 12 ft high with this unlimited promotion so why was I put on this subpar plan and why not just credit me back? It was then I was asked to leave otherwise he would contact the police. So I say you cannot contact customer service for your company, but you can call the police to have me removed. I told him to call the police so that I could have this incident documented. While the police were there the officer asked is there a way to call customer service and the manager said yes, but its to late now. My question to the manager was if there was confusion on your part and I told you customer service sent me to the store why didn't you just call them immediately instead of telling me "nobody calls to set up phone lines over the phone", "you set up the wrong plan" or "we can't help you". I as the customer did not set up the plan. Long and short of the story is that not only did the manager have me removed from the store, but he also entered a permanent no trespass order for me never to come back into the store. BTW: XFINITY CUSTOMER SINCE 2/5/2018 UPDATE: Nate ID#35266221 1/14/2024 Called customer service again when I got back home and asked again for a supervisor. He stated that he would make the following credits and updates because he could see the following errors. Hopefully, I get my credited back for these errors. I was very disappointed with Comcast because I asked them to transfer my services to another apartment unit. Once I moved I realized it didn't work. No cable or internet on a Game of Thrones night. They said they'd be by on Tuesday afternoon. Apparently the switched got turned off since no one had lived for this unit in awhile. Which sounds reasonable but not when I've called ahead and asked for my service to be transferred. They should have had a tech come out before that. The tech came by today and he did everything he could to make it work. He went above and beyond and I'm writing this for him. Thank you Hassan K for letting me keep some faith in Comcast. When someone really loves their job it shows. By the way, if you have your service transferred ask that they check when the last occupant moved out to make sure you ask for a tech to be sent ahead of time. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Comcast. This is a story, and if you want the moral to it, just skip to the end of my review and you'll get the moral. Otherwise, read on as if it's an Aesop's tale and indulge me. I waited a while and devised a point system to come up with my 2-star rating: Availability--5 stars: everyone can get it. Not that we want it, but we can get it. Channels available--4 stars: lots, but I'm no sports fanatic, and there are hundreds of channels to choose from. Why can't I find anything decent to watch though? You pay for everything. Ease of setup--3 stars: if you're under 30, it's a snap. Over 30, grab a teenager. In fact, when we got the new cable boxes installed in our house, the tech actually asked us "Do you have any teenagers living here?" Yeah, that was a clue. Good thing we did. Speed of internet--3 stars: I've had better, I've had worse. More later. Customer service, phone--1 star: one hand is not connected to the other. No one has a record of what another one has done. Try to backtrack and you're lost in a black hole or you get disconnected. Customer service, repairs-- negative 3 stars: no joke. If I performed at my job the way some of these people did, I would be on the unemployment line. We had internet and reception issues for nearly a year. Since DSL was not available when the issues started, we called and called and had repairmen come to the house repeatedly to try to remedy the problem. Internet would drop for hours daily. Cable channels would be unavailable or "pixelate." Finally a tech diagnosed it: we were connected over 200 yards down the wire line from our house when there was a connection to the main line nearly 50 feet from our house. He put in a work order to have us reconnected. LAST FEBRUARY. Call after call after call produced nothing. No one knew what I was talking about. They checked the wiring in our house. They came out again and checked outside the house from the house to the main line. But never the MAIN LINE. And then they'd check it again. I must have had 10 service calls, minimum (all with that famous "2 to 4 hour window -- can you be home at 10 AM on a Tuesday" sort of thing, like no one works?). So finally in July I had another guy come out who saw what initially went on. And I had him write down his name and his supervisor's name. BINGO. That proved valuable. Monkeyed with them for another few months and said I'd had it. MORAL: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- Comcast HQ in the Washington, DC area. And I told them I wanted two months of comped service for all of my headaches. And I wanted it FIXED. Within two weeks, I had calls and emails from big guns at Comcast. Suddenly they found all of the calls I made and all of the trips out to my house that were done for this ONE issue. I was rewired within a week and it was fixed. No dropped connections or reception issues since. And I got my two months of cable and internet comped. I've learned that Comcast will take action when their backs are against the wall. I advise anyone with similar issues to do the same. read more

Absolutely horrible. I live in an partment complex and I'm FORCED to having xfinity internet. The service is always interrupted. I mean constantly. The price goes up all the time. At one time I lived in Nederland texas, I payed AT&T 19 dollars a month. The mbps was low and I could play 3 different videos without interruption. Today with xfinity I have higher mbps but I play 75 dollars and can't stream one video without interruption. Ill call a tech out again. If he can't help I'll just cancel my service. read more

Switched from UVerse a few months ago for higher speeds, but now must switch back. Service in NW Houston (Cypress Area) goes out often, and for some reason the internet also goes out anytime the power goes out despite the fact all our equipment is on a UPS battery backup. AT&T was not good either and slowed down a lot, however at least it was more reliable and didn't go out as often as Comcast, and would work through a power outage (important for security applications). For the 2nd time this week I'm working hours today on my iPhone hotspot. It's 9am and the Comcast website says the outage in my area should be fixed by 1pm. Unacceptable. read more

As a result of consistent internet speeds that are excruciatingly slow, I've began conducting random speed tests using multiple services to track my results. My internet speed is currently 0.62 Mbps download and 0.72 Mbps upload. As a point of reference, I pay for 70 Mbps. When customer service is contacted, it's the same old, unplug your router yada yada yada schpeel I get every time. I'm so frustrated with the inconsistent service that at best, isn't half the speed that I pay good money for. The majority of the time it isn't even a quarter of what I pay for. At the moment it literally is so slow that I had to disconnect and use my cell data to write this review because I couldn't even connect to Yelp. Do NOT choose Xfinity without seeing what other options are available to you. Do NOT purchase an internet speed package and believe that you will actually see those speeds. Please do your research and investigate every other service provider before choosing this one that is nothing at all what you're told it is going to be. read more

However, it is just the basic cable and I wanted a HD Box. I had to call the 1-800 number to find the closest actual location. I found out that none of their physical locations actually have a phone number. All of their calls are outsourced to Mexico. However, when he finally gave me an address of a physical location in Houston, I was able to come in and pick up a HD box. Comcast has not given any trouble, no downtime, decent amount of HD channels and ON Demand. read more

XFINITY is a joke. The internet is spotty​ at best and it keeps crashing. The speeds are supposed to be fast, but with internet that keeps breaking down, it is impossible to tell. Right now, I am typing and watching my router try to reconnect since it just reset itself twice within the past two minutes. Additionally, last week, I upgraded my package to a triple play instead of the double​ play package I had, and an appointment for a technician to come out and set the new equipment up for today (October 13) between 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. This appointment was confirmed by two of their reps last weekend. Today, I have been home waiting for this technician and checked in for a status update. They informed me that there was no appointment scheduled for today. So between last weekend and today, that appointment that TWO different reps saw has magically disappeared. Now I have to wait another week for a technician to come up. SIDE NOTE: I am currently on the phone with ANOTHER rep who is telling me that she is seeing the appointment and the status is "CLOSED" meaning that it was handled. HOW SWAY?! How are you trying to offer services to people and you can't have consistent, efficient​, and effective processes? So now, i have to go TWO weeks without the new equipment - but I am sure that you guys will expect the full monthly charge for the new plan that y'all haven't fully set up. The store needs to close down and send all of their employees to in services with Xfinity to learn About the products and technology. And the main thing is they don't care. I was called during work hours and hounded by the sales rep to upgrade my service to an unspecified other plan whilst on the phone. Once it was clear that this was a solicitation call, I stated that I was not able to talk at that time as I was busy at work. Instead of being understanding, the sales rep insisted that I stay on the line for just 1 minute under the pretense of a short questionnaire. He then started processing an upgrade and requested that I approve without having a chance to review. At this point, I communicated that I would need time to review the terms outside of business hours... and I was hounded even for this! Next time I will be hanging up when I hear "Comcast/Xfinity." So sad that I am forced into business with this company because my apartment requires Xfinity service only. read more
