Mr. A"s is one of my favorite restaurants. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Their ham is amazing. Today I had the ham on French bread sandwich with fresh cut French fries. The servings are very generous. Needless to say I'll be having the other half of my sandwich for dinner! I have tried several sandwiches and breakfast. I have never been disappointed. The only negative point for me is they are not open later for dinner. Definitely give this place a try! read more

Had breakfast there 3 times, couldn't wait for them to open! All 3 times a cheese omelet and all 3 times food was tepid and cheese was not melted inside (all 3 times) and cheese on top not melted at all (all 3 times) hash browns were tepid and dry in fact everything each time was dry and not hot! Finally went for lunch... Very good experience. Giant portions. The thing that impressed me most was the constant attention from the staff. The waitress, busboy and some kind of assistant were always close by and asking if we needed anything. Mr A himself was there too. They seem very concerned about making sure we were happy. Again, it's not gourmet food, and I don't expect it to be. But it was fresh, not greasy and more than satisfactory. We eat here all the time. The good is great, the services impeccable. The ham is off the bone and my only complaint is that there's too much of it which is not a bad problem to have. My husband says they make the best burgers and I LOVE the breakfasts. Just had the Popeye omelet. Thought that an egg white omelet would be boring. Wrong! I ended up taking half of it home. My initial review: Bad management. Ordered a Santa Fe omlet with jalapeños. Food came with bell peppers. Manager tried to convince me that the jalapeño are sweet We did not eat and got charged for it I just wrote the on the receipt "bad management and charged for wrong food" and paid the bill and walked away. The owner came back to my car and yelled and cursed in front of my little children and walked back in. I followed him into the restaurant and told him he had to learn to talk in front of children. He twisted my arm and pushed me out of the restaurant. Response from the owner I feel that fresh jalapeños are hard to tell on spice however you ate all the meals. Then you requested we give everyone another meal at no charge. You did eat the omelet. However only one omelet had jalapenos. The server asked 3 times how everything was and no complaints. We offered you a new omelet also that was not enough either.Then after you were done eating all the meals you asked for another round of meals for free. Then you left and came back in screaming and hollering we asked you to leave multiple times. Then to try and put your hands on our staff is beyond wrong that's why we called law enforcement. However you did put your hands on the owner. My response to Owner's reply: Mr. Liar, Your camera will tell all the story. If one sentence of your reply is truth, show that in your camera. Now, your camera was not working on that day correct? You know there is a God. He is watching, you may escape the law, by hiding your video footage, but not from God. read more

I've been at this restaurant several times. Coffee sucks and the food is over priced and everything is alacarte . I ordered a sandwich and asked if I could just get a half a order of fries , because the order is a extra 1.85 . The order is a Hugh plate of fries that you just end up throwing away anyways. I asked the manager if he could just give me a half order and charge me half. They said NO !! I spoke to two managers both said NO. The manager said " How about I give you a half order of fries and charge you for a full order. " That did it !!! Bad Bad business !!!! A great place to eat on the weekends, breakfast or lunch. Great value, the skillets are massive. At lunch, the split pea soup is wonderful, a very hearty portion along with a very good selection of sandwiches. Also, the staff is very friendly and attentive. My first visit to Mr. A's was this Saturday with a group of 6 to celebrate a birthday. They advertise the king size slice of ham, and they are right! I'm not a real ham lover, but this was outstanding. I ordered the #4 breakfast which was a giant slice of ham, 3 eggs, and 3 full slices of french toast. It was under $8 and excellent. I took ham and french toast home. The service was outstanding and friendly. Our coffee cups were filled promptly with a smile and they remembered who had decaf and who had regular. GREAT place for breakfast! Meat Lover's Skillet was amazing, with four, yes four eggs on top. Unlike most places, where they serve a skillet meal in a small skillet, Mr. A's must make theirs in a 12 inch skillet and then serve it on a platter. It's HUGE! Service was excellent also. I had lunch there last week with some friends. Parking lot too small for the customer base. Anyway, the staff is super friendly, prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food. Our waiter was Edwin who was fantastic and easy on the eyes! The only complaint was I had a chicken ceaser wrap which was excellent but when i picked it up everything fell out since it wasn't wrapped correctly. Will definitely go back soon. Took over 5 minutes to get coffee and almost 10 to get water. The food came out quickly but our server never came back to check on us. Had to ask the runner for straws, syrup, etc. because our server was no where to be found. She did not check on us until we were ready for our check. My family and I were in here on Saturday. The place was busy with a little wait. We were a party of 7. So the hostesses up their were very friendly and stated the wait would be about 10 minutes. Ok no problem. So we sat in the waiting area it was comfortable. We were sat within the 10 minute wait time. We were given water by a busboy and server came up and greeted us he was friendly. He stated his name was Earnesto got us drinks and took our order. Food wait was great. The kids enjoyed their breakfast. My son loved the oreo pancakes. My wife could not finish this very generous portion of her skillet. I could not even finish mine. And I am a big guy. So my kids can not wait to come back again. The time frame of start to finish was good. With Earnesto and busboys checking on us very frequently that is great of a business. Even the manager was checking on is to see if we needed anything and making sure our needs are talen care of. At the end of service the best part of it is Earnesto telling us thank you for supporting us and come back again. I enjoy that he thanked us for picking this place to spend our money.
