The Owner Lee is very genuine and went above and beyond my expectations. I have had terrible experience with other mechanics shops who try to sell you things you dont need but at Mr.Bestwrench they get straight to the point and give you a detailed breakdown of the recommended services via Tekmetriks which shows you the cost of parts vs labor and you can choose to approve or decline each online from your phone. ****BEWARE****This was the 3rd bad experience here (2 repairs my car, 1 repair husbands car). I should have learned my lesson but the proximity to my house made me go back. Each repair was $1-3k. First repair, they did not fix the issue, charged me ~$1.5k, brought it back and it turned out to just be an alignment issue that should have only cost a couple hundred. I didn't mention anything, I thought maybe both things needed to be repaired. Husband brought his car in over the summer, charged him $2k. He had to bring it back 3 additional times before they finally fixed the issue and he was without a car for a couple months and had to Uber to work. This was there last chance. I brought my car to get the AC fixed, Charged ~$2.5k and within a week it wasn't working again. Brought it back and they wanted to charge me another $1.5k. I did NOT approve the work so I went there to pick it up on a Monday morning and found my car in the shop, COMPLETELY GUTTED. I want a refund for the work they did which did not my fix my issue, the 4 Ubers I had to take, the extra freon I had to buy when it leaked out, my missed wages, and for the headache of it all!!!!! read more

Usually I read the negative reviews and assume maybe a customer was difficult or there was some misunderstanding. But, maybe these reviews are correct. My wife took her car for service in June 2024 and I asked for a brake inspection. I was told the brakes were good, and approved some other work. Three months later, September 2024, the car's brakes were grinding. Bewildered, I sent the car back to Mr BestWrench, and was told by Bob it needed new brakes, rotors, pads, etc. for over $1,300. I asked how this was possible, Bob said, "I don't know how your wife drives, and they didn't place the details of the brake inspection in your file". After calling several other shops, we found out the quoted price was over DOUBLE of the expected cost. The good news, we found another who performed the work for $680 with better parts and was done in a few hours. We will never go back, and we'll make to tell everyone in the Fruit Cove area about our experience. read more

Very disappointed. They are local and I really like to support local small businesses. Never again. I took my car in to get a second pair of eyes on an emissions problem and wanted to avoid costly tests/bills with the dealership. Well, after a couple attempts, a couple of bills for over $500, the problem was no better. So, I went to the dealership, they found the problem immediately, based on my description of the problem. Whoever worked on my car, left vice grips on the the line when performing a smoke test... so, I went back to pick up the engine cover (to replace the one they broke earlier (which I noticed when cleaning the engine compartment)) and provided them with a picture of the tool attached to the underbody, the tool itself and the bill for $200. The owner denied it was his shop's tool and gave it back to me. Really.... the dealership put it on and sent me a picture (I don't think so).... so, just say it wasn't their tool, wouldn't that mean the tool was on there before they worked on it, shouldn't they have seen it when they were working on it? Shouldn't they have removed it? I don't want to think they did this on purpose but they are having quality control problems and maybe part accountability problem too. Not going back. Brought my son's Jeep in because it was not starting. They charged me $1,000 to replace the Alternator. The next day the Jeep was dead. I did the old starter test and sure enough that was the problem. I wound up buying a new starter and that fixed the problem. read more

just nowNEW-Write a review Delete I dropped my car off at 8:00 am on Wednesday May 15. 2024 and was told they would work it in that day (even though I had already requested an appointment using their online website, which they do not honor). By 4:00 pm of that day I called them and was told that they could not get to it and would have to keep it another day. Finally I was contacted at 9:00 the next day and was told that the new spark plug that I replaced was bad and needed replacing along with the other 3. I asked the price and was quoted $343 which I thought was pretty expensive for 4 spark plugs, but to get it done I agreed. I was told that it would be ready about 1:00pm that day. My wife showed up at 1:00 and they had not even started on it and the price to replace the plugs was now around $550. I asked the difference in the service and was informed that the $343 was the price for the 4 spark plugs. Including tax it is still less than $60. I get that they have to have a mark up to pay the bills but $283 is ludicrous. Mr Best Wrench used to be my go-to place for work on my car. But today that all changed. Today when I went in to pick up my car, the office oddly stank of stale tobacco smoke, and the counter Reps were rude and aggressive. They instantly started yelling at me when i questioned why $422 to change 6 spark plugs. The plugs alone were $191. He started yelling at me "WELL YOU SIGNED THE WORK ORDER ON YOUR PHONE, THAT'S YOUR SIGNATURE, SEE IT?, SEE IT" YOU SIGNED IT, SEE SE SEE". I calmly tried to explain the bill was not easy to read on my phone, and yes i approved the work... Still not satisfied, he picked up where he left off with his verbal attack... getting even louder, and more aggressive... droning on and on. Finally, I said, "Look I just want to pay the bill and get out of here". He had lost all control of himself and couldn't leave well enough alone... and weirdly he continued to harangue me saying "YEAH THAT'S A GOOD IDEA, JUST PAY AND GET OUT OF HERE". This business is horrible. Take my Buick Enclave Car in for servicing hvac. Quote is $400 higher than the national average. Figured I will keep it local and it's convenient. They took 5 days to complete the work. And left the car with electronics not working and radio with no sound. Took it back into have corrected. Had it all day. Radio still doesn't work. Outside of a simple oil change avoid this place. I cannot stand horrible service. I also cannot stand being ripped off. I hope this place loses a ton of business and closes down. read more

Took my 1999 Tahoe in and they said I needed lifters so I paid $1700 for the repair. When I got it back I noticed the heater wasn't working. I took it to a different mechanic to get the heater fixed and he had to remove the intake manifold and valve covers and found leaves inside the engine and under the valve covers. Mr. Bestwrench did not torque the rocker arms and they tightened them to the point where all the push rods were bent and had to be replaced. Cost me another $1300 to fix what these assholes didn't do!! DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR TO THIS PLACE!!! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! read more

Tried them. I got a bad "new" part installed and had to return twice but never got the problem resolved. Went to another mechanic who quickly found the "new" part and replaced it. That finally solved the problem. I came back to Bestwrench and told the manager(he has a nice labrador retriever in the office) about the situation and he said to leave the part they had installed and that they would get back to me with giving me credit or my money back.
