Came here at 11:51 thinking they close at 1 cause thats what yelp said. But the store hours in front says 12. Not sure what the real time is. They still took our order even when it took us a few minutes to decide. Since we thought they closed at 12 we didnt want to order slushies because thatd mean they would have to do more dishes. The drinks bring back memories of the 2000s boba drink. I believe their milk tea is made with mostly powder. At first when i drank my taro milk tea, it tasted not good but not bad?. 7/15/25 It's a boba kind of day, while driving around in Ktown, saw this & decided to stop by. I miss the days when you can just go out & find places that are open late, like past 10 pm lol. This shop is clean, fairly quiet in a strip or string of restaurants. The guy at the counter was friendly, efficient. He's the one who made my drinks, too. I ordered a taro slush with boba for Hubby & I got a cafe frappe. The wait was quick, I was outta there in no time. I like my slush to be more icey but this one was more watery. My friend and I went here after dining at the Korean barbecue next door. There's no one else in the store so we were able to order right away. My friend had the ube taro shake while I ordered the strawberry mango smoothie. Our orders were served promptly. We both liked our drinks and were happy. Lots of inside seating. Got delivery through Postmates on a whim. Just what we needed for this random end of winter heatwave. The drinks came steady in a cupholder thoughtfully placed in a bag of ice. Lychee slush is legit one of the best things I've ever tasted with no exaggeration. SHEESH. Actual real chunks of beautiful lychee. Nothing tasted artificial. Tasted exactly how I'd imagine a buncha frozen lychees would taste just blended up with minimal ice, if I was ever ambitious enough to peel 20 of these cute spiky ballz myself. Truly delicious and refreshing. Taro slush was also super duper tasty. Best version of this I've had, for sure. A great contrast to the lychee & also not too sweet. Bobas for both were PERFECTION. I love the pistachio frappe (with boba) from here! It's literally soooo good and it has real pistachios in it. Another good one is the butter pecan. They're almost like ice cream frappes but... not ice cream. I don't know how to explain it lol. They also provide a bag of ice when it's being delivered so it doesn't melt/get warm, I think this is a nice touch because a lot of delivery personnel don't have temperature regulating bags. Alex Ortega was my server and we order the shaved mango. So I assumed this was shaved ice cream with mango chunks. When we got the order, I realized it was just shaved ICE not the ice cream. Overall the order was horrible and I told him we accidentally order this incorrectly because I assumed it was shaved ice cream. He said they won't do any changes and I asked to speak to the manager and he just pointed himself without saying a word. I had told him I'm from the Bay Area and drove a long way to try out things. He made the experience horrible and was not happy to get things right. My 9-year-old daughter ordered a taro tea with strawberry popping boba, but the drink she received was a taro slush without any boba. Being a child, she didn't immediately notice and took a few sips before realizing something was off. When she pointed it out to me, I approached the staff member who took our order and made the drink. Instead of offering any kind of understanding or solution, he insisted that we only said "taro" and that he assumed we meant slush. I clearly remember saying "taro tea," but even if there was a misunderstanding, his dismissive and condescending attitude was unacceptable. He told me I should have said something immediately (again, my daughter is 9!) and refused to fix the order, essentially laughing off my complaint. This kind of customer service is unacceptable--especially when you're serving kids. Please do better, Mr. Boba. Train your staff to be respectful, listen carefully, and handle issues with more professionalism. read more

I was in the area and had been craving some boba for awhile and had to make a stop. I ordered the Taro Smoothie and was highly disappointed. It barely had any flavor at all. I don't know if it was a mistake or if it was their usual recipe. The boba was pretty good, had great texture, and seemed pretty fresh. There are so many options on the menu, so I would advise staying away from the Taro Smoothie. I'm not in this area very often, so I probably won't be back to give them a 2nd chance. I would have given five stars 4 years ago. It was pretty decent back in the days. The quality has gone way down hill. I feel bad leaving a bad review, but I am quite disappointed. I came because I was picking up kyochon & it seemed like an easy choice. I would have gone across the street to Yifang had I known their milk tea would taste very very watered down like it has been sitting in the dispenser for days. :( There is no quality control. The shop is conveniently located in a strip mall (Serrano Market Place) near high traffic restaurants so this was the perfect spot to grab boba while waiting for the restaurant. They have a variety of options ranging from milk tea to even shaved ice. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly and it came out within 5mins. It was the perfect mid-sweetness level and a generous portion of jelly. After dinner around 11:30pm, we came again and this time got the taro bubble tea. Sweetness was good, but the bubbles were very bland, doesn't taste like they made them in sugar like most places have it. Overall, a solid spot to check out.
