the house milk tea at regular sweetness is always my go-to whenever i try a new boba shop because it gives me a good idea of how the shop does the basics. unfortunately, this one was disappointing. from the very first sip, the "regular sweet" tasted more like 50% sweetness, and there wasn't nearly enough boba in the cup. i ordered through a food delivery app about an hour before closing, so i'm not sure if that had anything to do with it, but it definitely didn't leave a great first impression. i finished it because i love milk tea, but i wouldn't order from this location again. read more

However as someone who's getting a bit past the point where getting the most sugar and caffeine I can get for my money is the goal, and is willing to prioritize quality rather than quantity... This location at 8th & Vermont is one of my go-to locations. I grew to love their grande size boba drinks, at a reasonable price (sometimes cheaper than other boba spots). Sometimes, they have a cashier on duty, but the self-order kiosk is available for anyone's convenience. I really like their Pistachio Frappe with almond milk and boba because I can definitely taste the pistachio flavor, bits of pistachio and their chewy boba. On my first visit, it took ages to make my drink. There were two orders in front of me, a delivery order came in, so took about 20 minutes for my drink. I was like, okay, let me order ahead next time to make life easier. The Mango Nada ($5.50 for a small) was bomb. The right amount of chili powder for some spicy fun, some chamoy and mango goodness! Horrible. Absolutely terrible, I go walking 20 minutes, I arrived at 5 pm. It was closed, mind you it is a Tuesday. It's not the weekend, so there's literally no reason why the heck it would be closed. I checked on maps it said it was open. I walked 20 minutes for nothing. It isn't the first time, it's been multiple times I've went with it being closed. Today is my last straw. Next time, if there is one. I started going here a lot, i ways get a mango slush or tanghulu or the fish filled with nutella. The tanghulu is good (wish they made it fresh so it wouldn't be frozen) , the slushes are pretty good ive tried out most of the flavors, though the fruit flavored ones give me a laxative effect... but thats with most boba places with the same flavors so its ok with me xx, i still love the place and always see the same person working there super nice and hardworking. read more

Wanted to order here for the first time bc It's Boba Time doesn't have a large option and I'm fasting so I wanted a large smoothie since it was all I'll be eating today. I got a pineapple coconut smoothie with coconut jelly and strawberry pops, my exact order from boba time. The jelly are tough and chewy almost like they weren't prepared right? Idk the strawberry boba have a tough outer layer that's chewy too. My drink has a slight like coffee taste to it, so weird. Found this place because my friend and I wanted to get boba after lunch and this was right across the street from our lunch restaurant. Saw it had good reviews and also newly opened. There is a good variety of drinks, desserts such as taiyaki, ice cream taiyaki, shaved ice and cotton candy. Since I was still stuffed from lunch I decided to order the lychee slush with pudding with regular sugar. The drink had a good flavor and even after the ice melted, it didn't dilute the flavor much so if you don't like your drinks too sweet, I would suggest to get less sugar. This place has a reward system where one item is equal to 1 point. I would definitely come back to try the taiyaki and taiyaki ice cream next time I'm in the area. read more

Everytime I come in here there is never any snowflake ice available, it seems they're just too lazy to even bother doing it. So they say they are out of it. My pastor was going to buy me just Boonguhbbang but the Buy One Get One 50% off promo got me a drink as well . Thank God. The Boonguhbbang / taiyaki was nice and hot - the corn cheese was just the right choice for eating right at the spot it's made; notably chewy & very tasty dough. Also tried their mango bingsoo which was delicious as well (with mango popping boba). I needed some strength that day, the delicious Boonguhbbang and the boba drink was just perfect for wholesome healing experience. When there are days you're down, in addition to shooting up some prayer to God, I say to myself " Hey, I'm still ok & doing well." This spot just opened near my apartment and let me tell you, this is going to be my new boba spot! Goodbye BobaTime! We ordered a Thai tea and a cookies and cream with boba in the grande size which is a whole 32 ounces!!! We spent about $15 (I added oat milk for and extra $1) which was such a steal for the sizes we got! The cookies and cream was reminiscent of a chocolate malt shake. So good!! I want another one already lol The store itself is incredibly clean. We could even see the back kitchen and it was spotless. The shop keeper was extremely friendly and even gave us a gift for visiting! Assuming it was from their grand opening, so if you go and don't get one they probably ran out! The cutest boba shop ever!!!! This place just opened 4 months ago as per the owner, and it is so clean and so affordable. They are also in a free 1 hr parking lot plaza! Menu has a lot of variety but doesn't have any traditional milk tea flavors like oolong or jasmine flavors. I got the lychee ice tea and my boyfriend got the honeydew boba milk! Both were really standard but for the size and the price it was insane. The grande size is a 32oz for $5.50 including tax!!!! Crazy!!!!! And they have a reward system with prize options displayed on the wall which looked super cute. The owner (i assume he's the owner) was the sweetest person ever! He gave us recommendations and sold his brand (the Grande size) well. He also gave us free taiyakis since they were closing, which was sooo sweet of him. Favorite place to get boba from. They do need to hire more employees, because the line gets long and it takes a bit to get your drink, but so worth it. Love the flavors, sizes and taste of the bobas. The place is clean and has cute little things to get from points you accumulate when buying boba. Has a sitting area where you can relax and chat with friends or family. Overall is a great place.
