    Crab Rangoons

On a Wednesday afternoon, it's pretty quiet, but word is that they have karaoke nights? My boss recommended this place for its wings but he should have recommended the shrimp rangoons cause those were delicious.

Japanese katsu curry item was in the rice plate category--there was no rice. Thinnest curry sauce if any. Potatoes were not cooked through. Hard. Katsu wasn't that bad but it's a katsu curry rice plate that had no rice and terrible curry. Szechuan spicy chicken. Sauce was so thin. Bland. Barely tasted anything but steamed chicken. No spice at all. Pork fried rice was just rice with a splash of soy. Maybe a nugget of pork fat. No flavor, no onion or anything to give it an ounce of food flavor. Terrible food tonight. Wish I had ordered a tv dinner over this meal. No one was trying tonight for their 9pm take out crowd. Crab Rangoon was just okay. Sadly the better part of the disappointing meal. If their sauces and curry had a boost it would've meant the world to me! Way to give just 12% to the meal effort. I have liked other options there so I'm willing to try again on things they can actually do. They clearly need to put in more effort and research into making the things on their menu that most Chinese take out places don't do. That's why I was intrigued. But you should stick to the normal east coast Chinese take out here as they miss the mark on the interesting items

Food tasted like dish washing soap or cleaning product. The food was bland , the chicken wings and ribs were tough and rubbery under cooked . I ordered from Uber Eats and was blindsided ewww!! Wouldn't recommend..

I love good Chinese food - having eaten it for more than 4 decades. This wasn't good, in fact it was barely edible. Everything was just dumped together in the box, the pork fried rice was dry, the beef teriyaki was tough, and don't even get me started on the General Gau's Chicken. The only decent item was the crab rangoons. I ordered through a delivery app, the driver was very good, wish I could say the same about my meal. I realize that I paid more to have it delivered than if I had picked it up, but dang - that was a waste of $30. This should be a miss!

Sweet and Sour Chicken that was just fingers with sweet sauce from a jar, dry rice and old ribs

The poke nachos were easily the star of the table...honestly to die for. All three sushi rolls were packed with flavor and didn't last long once they hit the table. One had some thick fishy slices but aside from that, wasn't bad. The edamame came out warm and perfectly salted (simple, but done right). The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed, and the service was professional and quick, which is always appreciated when everyone shows up hungry. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when the sushi craving hits again.

The broth was rich and flavorful, the fat fragrant but not greasy; the noodles were thin and straight, firm and chewy; the wakame seaweed is crisp and refreshing, adding to the umami flavor, and the fresh green onions are just right in terms of crispness and aroma. As a Hakata ramen, everything is perfect. But for me, it would be even better if the chashu were a bit thicker and fattier. However, I have to warn future customers to not bring any valuables that can absorb odors. :') I had a large plastic tote with a Coach purse & Sony headphones inside. Both were inside the tote the entire time we ate. It's been 3 days & I still can't get the smell of onion/garlic out of my headphones. The smell mostly faded from my tote & my purse after being hung outside with baking soda packets for a few days, but I think my headphones are a lost cause. I took off the ear pads, washed them, & wiped down the rest of the headphones as thoroughly as possible, but the fragrance persists. I only got the smell out of my clothes by doing an extra wash with vinegar. To be clear, I didn't spill broth on my belongings or anything -- the air in the restaurant just smells so strongly of onion/garlic that it seeps into your things. The food is great. Enjoy the food. But don't bring anything expensive or anything you love to this place. & don't plan on going anywhere else afterwards. Don't repeat my mistakes. :')

The inside of Hakata Ramen is tight and can get pretty busy, but the vibe is what you'd expect for the area. The staff is honestly the best part. They are welcoming and move fast. I have been here a handful of times and it is a reliable choice for comfort food. They have these daily bento specials with ramen, sushi, and appetizers that look like a great deal. I tried, but they are intriguing. The main downside is the broth quality compared to the price. There are definitely more authentic ramen spots in the city if you are a purist. You can tell the base is not a homemade tonkatsu broth, which is a bit of a letdown for what they charge. Still, it is a decent spot for a quick meal. * Tempura Ramen (7/10): The tempura is a total highlight because it is served on a separate plate to keep it from getting soggy, though the broth itself is fairly standard. You order up at the counter, and they give you a buzzer that buzzes when your ramen is ready to grab at the counter. The ramen was ready in under 10 minutes. First, the broth was remarkably complex and rich, with an endless depth that never became too overbearing -- perfect. The noodles were perfectly cooked as well, served up in a decent portion. Toppings-wise, you get tofu, soy crumble, corn, arugula, and sprouts, along with plenty of sesame seeds. I would've liked some proper greens (other than a few raw arugula leafs), but that's the most minor of complaints. Service was decent enough -- informative and helpful in describing the options. All in all, top-notch vegan ramen. Highest recommendation.

Swung by this place on a weekday for lunch to avoid the rush - most weekends I pass by this place and the line wraps around the street! My friend and I stepped in and were immediately greeted with a sour attitude. We were confused on the menu whether our ramen included chili oil or not, and the staff did not help explain anything and just quickly dismissed our questions to get us to order quicker. Once we sat down, the food was done relatively quickly. However I was very surprised on what we had gotten. Now I admit - I am not a vegetarian. However, I have enjoyed many vegetarian meals and this was quite upsetting. We both got the garlic miso ramen. The ramen was not temperature hot at all. The chili oil was not flavorful. The "soy meat" was simply just mushed tofu with awful texture, and it soaked into the soup and created a pretty unpleasant texture (I took a picture which makes me sad and unappetized). I was unable to finish my bowl. The food combined with the service made for a pretty negative time for me. I really wanted to love it - a place with a full vegetarian menu is amazing for all my friends who have that restriction! Maybe if they tried pan frying the tofu create a better textural experience? I will not plan to come back, and will highly recommend you go to any other restaurant in Back Bay.
