Amazing! A buddy in Atlanta told me about this place before I ever came to Cairo and after eating here I know, it's great! Good country comfort food. The chicken strips are delicious and the sauces are great. They even make their own homemade bluecheese sauce. The staff is so nice, I told them it was my first time here and they gave me fried okra for free. Definitely come here if you're in the area.

You basically have eat here to prove you've been through Cairo. The Jason sauce is my favorite and fried okra is always a good choice.

I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. I like my fries just a little more crispy than what I received, but they weren't bad. The slaw was good, with just a hint of dill in the mix. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. It's a little pricey for everyday dining, but it was definitely worth the price. Give George and Louie's a try if you are in the Thomasville Ga. Area!

Food: I ordered the blue cheese burger, tots, and an ice tea. With tax, $18.33 The burger was very tasty, but it's barely bigger than a slider. The photo I took shows a normal tot in relation to the burger. Tots: cooked right and a good portion. Tipping: optional, and I'm still not sold on tipping for counter service. But here, they do bring it to your table. The issue is the credit card screen; you have 4 options: 20%, 25%, 30%, and "no tip". As I didn't have the option to choose less than 20%, I chose no tip. (Did cash tip the server though) Food good. Service good, value and portion not so much.

We stumbled upon this place after not wanting to wait the long wait at our fave spot, Jonah's. It was sort of hard to tell if it was open or not but we quickly learned that it was and decided to give it a try. It looked pretty empty upon walking in, but that's also because the layout is interesting. Our server was nice, when we saw him which wasn't much. Food wise, it could've been better but again, wasn't the absolute worst. I did the build a sampler with 3 items from the appetizer menu to include fried cheese sticks, fried calamari, and popcorn shrimp. The calamari was unseasoned and I didn't like the breading. The cheese sticks seemed to use old cheese. The shrimp were pretty okay, I'd probably get those if I were to go back again. My mom had a boil with just headless shrimp that came with corn and potatoes. I had her corn and it was not done enough or seasoned well. Overall, the experience could've been better.

Very clean; spacious dining area. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our server was super nice, and very patient as we went over the menu deciding what to order. Unfortunately, aside from the seafood boils, there are no items on the menu that include broiled/grilled/blackened, etc. food items. Almost everything is fried! Note, there is salad and a small number of veggies on the menu. But, it is ok to "indulge" every now and then! :o) My mom ordered the Flounder with coleslaw and sweet potato fries; I had shrimp tacos and sweet potato fries. My daughter and one of my sisters both ordered the shrimp and sausage boil; and my other sister had catfish, shrimp, and cajun fries. We started the meal off with the sampler (cheese sticks, chicken fingers, shrimp, hushpuppies). We also ordered the beignets (two orders) and decided to have those come out with the appetizers! Sometimes, it is good to eat your dessert first! LOL! All in all, we enjoyed our meal; everything tasted fresh and was really good. There was a minor issue with my check/bill, but the manager resolved it quickly. Though this restaurant will probably not be on my list of "favorites" (due to the menu full of fried items), I am sure I will visit another time just to try one of the seafood boils. However, I will certainly recommend this place to others - especially those who are in the mood for fried foods.

They are located in the small downtown of Ochlocknee Georgia a little off US 19. Just know that all those vehicles parked on both sides of the street on any Thursday through Saturday from 4-9 pm are for people eating @ Billy's. While in Thomasville we got a recommendation to try Billy's and decided to drive even further from Tallahassee to give them a try. We are so glad that we did. We had fried grouper, fried catfish and fried shrimp with cheese grits and coleslaw as sides. Both fried fish choices were delicious although the wife would have liked a little more corn meal in the catfish breading. The shrimp were ok. Cheese grits were very good and the coleslaw was ok. Oh yeah, the hush puppies were good too. Portions are generous. Sides are a la carte and inexpensive. We even got a cinnamon bun to take home and share later. It was really sweet with the syrup and cream cheese frosting they included to add to it. Service was super attentive and the owner came out a couple of times and made the rounds to check on his customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the experience. We plan to go back because it's a pleasant country drive to get there. Definitely could combine it with picking up some cheeses from Sweet Grass Dairy, baked goods from The Bread Wagon and fresh produce from the Farmer's Market in Thomasville. Just have to make the trip on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. P.S.-There was fried catfish that came home and it was delicious reheated the next day. Cheese grits too.

My server immediately came to the table, brought me an unsweetened tea. I was torn between shrimp n grits or the Parmesan crusted black grouper. My said both were great. I chose the grouper. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender with a tasty sweet glaze. The greens were also on point - lots of bacon pieces and a sweet/spicy taste. Lunch came with a large crispy hush puppy. Not really worth the wait. Decent food. Friendly staff. But nothing super special. For Thomasville, I get it, but I live in Pensacola where there is a place like this on every corner. I had the grouper sandwich (blackened) and the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The FGTs were very good. The sandwich was average except that the ciabatta bun was exceptional. Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.

I always start by ordering an appetizer crab claws. They are usually big and you get about 16 of them. They were a little smaller today but still delicious. I do like their tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, which is on the table. The tartar sauce taste just like I would make it and the cocktail sauce has a little less horseradish than I would put in, but it's still very flavorful. The fried shrimp is excellent. My friend likes the sweet potato fries and I like their slaw. The crabcakes Were crabby and not too much bread. Today I had the fish sandwich which was a catfish fillet on a hoagie roll. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, and dill pickle. The dill pickles were great and I don't like pickles. The catfish was perfectly tender, coated in cornmeal and fried. I always enjoy the trip up to Attapulgus and my service is always spot on. Oh the cheese grits were good. The only thing that I dislike is that the food comes on disposable plates and Styrofoam cups. But at least that way they don't have dishes to do. I'll come back again.
