We have been disappointed with a lot of our regular breakfast places lately. So I was really hoping Mr. D's would be great. First impression is that it is. The 50's diner theme is fun, but the food is also very good. Portions are generous. I had the "New Orleans" omelet with pancakes. Both were okay excellent. This was the first time dining out since the COVID outbreak. It sure felt nice getting out. This is an old style diner with a huge menu. It's hard to decide what to order because you want it all. I ordered the Cowboy burger with fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was delicious and juicy. I would probably order a double or triple next time. The fries are a steak cut style. The shake wasn't served in a tall glass like you would expect to see a shake in. I'll pass on the shakes on future visits. I love the restaurant decor. The server was very nice and she didn't rush me looking at the menu since it's so big. All tables were spaced apart for COVID social distancing, and employees were all wearing masks. Since the menu is so big I wish I would have taken a menu home to study it, but I can always see the menu online. I will definitely be back to try other items. read more

Everything on my plate was premade. I ordered the roast beef dinner, and I should have known that receiving my food less than 20 minutes after I ordered it meant that it wasn't going to be homemade. My salad was mostly lettuce heels and wilted leaves. The roast beef was DELI LUNCH MEAT (yes, the kind you can buy in a package at the grocery store) covered in canned gravy. After trying the mashed potatoes, they were very suspiciously lukewarm and stiff, and had the grainy consistency that boxed spuds have. The audacity to charge me $19 for microwave cookery and almost $4 for a soda is nothing short of maddening. The booth seats were sticky and the whole place had a very unclean feel. Stacy gave Justin her undivided attention . He orders with a computer device. She directed questions to him. She treated him as she would any 17 year old typical teen. I was so grateful. Mr. D's is one of our new favorite restaurants/ bars. The bar area is amazing! The whole restaurant is very festive and fun, but I prefer sitting in the bar area. The happy hour menu is great. My husband and I are always on the hunt for unique sandwiches. Look no further, the sandwiches here are amazing! We LOVE the veggie melt. It is piled high with fresh veggies and cheese. It is very satisfying. We also love the chicken sandwich on sourdough. Amazing quality chicken and toppings. The seasoned steak fries are phenomenal. I've tried the tomato bisque soup and its quite yummy. My grandpa loves the traditional breakfasts here. This is a great place for the whole family, or a date night. We bought a turkey here for Thanksgiving. The process was easy and pick up was very organized. The turkey was so juicy and flavorful. We will definitely do that again. This is a 60s style diner. It has only opened recently and is new. The menu is excellent it has a large variety of foods. You can have breakfast all day. We ordered a chili burger/ bacon cheese burger a turkey and avocado sandwich and a chicken and avocado sandwich. All of the meals were ordered with tater tots but you could have fries. The buns and bread on the sandwiches were good and had a nice taste. The bread was fresh. I really enjoyed my chili burger. It did need more chili but they gave me more with no extra charge. The burger itself was large and juicy. The food was all good. If I had any complaints/recommendations it would be add more tater tots to the meal and a little bit more avocado to the sandwiches. I am looking forward to returning and trying their deserts. The pie looked good. Service was amazing. Our waiter was very helpful. Prices were what you expected. This was my second time here and both times I had a great experience with the food and service. The staff was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Food portions are huge ! I love breakfast foods so this was a great place for it. They have a big menu so there's plenty of options to choose from. We had the San Fran benedict, pastrami chili cheese fries, Santorini skillet (not pictured), and pankcakes this time and everything came out fresh and delicious. We accidentally messed up on our order (the food had already came out), and our waitress was so nice to fix it for us. I came in at like 8pm, and ordered a coffee and some boysenberry pie a la mode. Picasso! I like it! To begin, the coffee was really good! It tasted fresh and was smooth. It wasn't very bitter which was good. I was really impressed. No sweet and low but the equal was good. They offered 2 kinds of creamer, vanilla and plain. It was bottomless! They had a variety of pies but I ordered boysenberry. And let me tell you!!!!! It was so good with the vanilla ice cream. They warmed it up. Oh it was a mini pie. Probably the size of a hand. The service was really good, the girl helping us was really nice and attentive. The coffee was like 3.49, pie with ice cream was 7.99. The nostalgic 1950's diner theme is complemented by wall murals featuring regional staples and well-known locales. It's rare to find such an extensive menu where, no matter what you select, you will get top quality food, prepared to order and delivered to your table promptly, with a pleasing presentation. Every person in our large party had hot, delicious food, and we all left pleasantly surprised and satisfied. I enjoyed the banana caramel crépes and they did not disappoint. My wife and I decided to try Mr.D's for breakfast. We went on a Saturday morning fairly early and it was not crowded. I like the fifties diner decor, with bright colors and murals of old classic cars and a Marilyn Monroe type mannequin sitting in the waiting area. They even have a bright red classic car made into a booth. My wife ordered eggs, bacon, and toast, and I had the chorizo burrito. Both good. Our server was pleasant and efficient. From the moment we walked through the doors we were transformed into a classic 50s diner vibe. We were seated near the back where I felt I was sitting in a pulp fiction movie which made our experience here over the top. Wonderful service tonight from Lou P. Our order was exactly right. Lou checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. Also, once again another delicious omelette. The Payday omelette is plenty large enough for 2 people to split. It comes with bacon, ham, chorizo, sausage, cheddar cheese and jack cheese. We went to breakfast this morning, we had a party of eight. Our server knew many of the customers eating around us and it took too long to have our order taken, get refills, bring missed items because she was too busy talking with everyone! My daughter and I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was awful. It was dry, had too many hash browns, which were cold and tasteless, very little eggs and ham. Others said their breakfast was ok. They last few times we have eaten here it was not good. I was upset that I was charged an automatic 20% for bad service. We won't be back. read more

Went here with my wife for brunch one Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nostalgic with their cafe aesthetic. I ordered the gyro/Mediterranean breakfast bowl and was not disappointed. It was delicious! They have an all day happy hour on Tuesday that I'll have to come back for. This is now the 3rd issue we have had at Mr.D's and we are officially done ordering here! I like to give people the benefit of doubt, which is why we continued to go back and try again. This time, I ordered extra crispy bacon, you can see in the picture shown, it is not in the slightest bit crispy. Also ordered the crabby Benedict and the egg was over cooked. Pretty sure eggs Benedict are supposed to be runny. And the tater tots on the side of the Benedict were crispy, but almost tasted stale or as if they were from the day before and just reheated. In previous orders, they have forgotten an item on two separate occasions! Then told me I would have to go pick it up even though it was for delivery! Overall, just done with Mr. D's. read more

Early Father's Day celebration. I'm 70 and all my kids and Grandkids were there. 10 of us were promptly seated and Stacie was our server. I was impressed from the moment she took out orders. Our water, coffee and soda glasses were never empty. Some of us had breakfast and some of us had lunch. From the omelets to the chocolate chip pancakes, everyone was pleased. The country style potatoes were fabulous. They sat us in a private room and it was very quiet and we were able to have a wonderful conversation. Another outing seeking our favorite lunchtime food and cocktails with my friend. We've never been to Mr D"s but tried it with a coupon received in the mail for BOGO entrees. Wednesday lunch was not too busy but enough customers go make the place have some energy. The building is HUGE (I think it used to be a Marie Callender's) with many smaller areas/rooms if you're having a group gathering. The theme is cute with a 60's vibe (Elvis. Marilyn Monroe. Classic Chevys, chrome and red Formica) super cute and clean. The wait staff was great and gave us space while being attentive at the same time.
