Blue dip!!! OMG fully in love! I'm from Detroit and so used to DQs or really bad soft serve places that try to sell everything under the stars to make up for lost profits... It always ends badly in Detroit when an ice cream place goes coney too. Anyways, my boyfriend kept telling me how good this place was and I was terrified to try Because of back home. Nope this place ROCKS!! The staff is so friendly! The portions are giant and I feel like I need to pay way more then what we do! Huge I mean huge amounts of ice cream for almost pennys. Such a cute, old school ice cream shack tucked in a pretty random, residential area. I was excited the second we pulled into the parking lot on a drizzly summer evening to see the swarm of people still lined up here. Super friendly, primarily high school/college-aged staff. Gargantuan portions. Super great prices. Ridiculous selection. The finished product itself, we got a fruity sundae called the topsy turvy(?), was amazeballs. Don't believe the hype! I was SO excited! So excited! But it was just meh. Nothing screams come visit again. We got there about 20 minutes before they were closing but it might as well have been closing time. We had a turtle like sundae. I'm reading about large portions but not on this item. The shake was just okay-again, not the pull of come back again. Maybe it's just an off night for ice cream. But don't think we'll try it again-drat :( read more

As much as I love to rail against my home town, the mention of Mr. Freeze can halt me mid tirade. My sister used to work here, and this is by far one of the best things about coming back home for visits. Their portions can satisfy even the most obese of appetites, via their "Monster" sundae which is a mind bending half gallon of ice cream. The main attraction is the variety of sundaes, including turtle, German cake, and buckeye. The best soft serve ice cream in Toledo. The portions are HUGE! I always order a baby cone and that is the perfect size. Their soft serve always tastes great. For those who are watching their waistlines, they have Wow Cow low calorie ice cream that is really tasty. They also have great fat free fruit whip flavors, orange and raspberry. First, I didn't see hours posted so I asked and was told: Open Daily: 11am - 10pm, but may be open later if there is demand. Great for soft serve, generous serving sizes, friendly service. There is a huge selection so if you go in a group there should be something perfect for everyone. Plus they give the gigantic large size in a tall narrowish cup which keeps the middle and bottom parts insulated and so is not a giant puddle by the time you get to it (and it fits in the cup holder of your car). Only thing is I wish they didn't use styrofoam since it's not biodegradable - or a least provided an option. Other than that it's kind of the perfect little place to stop off for some ice cream. read more

They have the best Ice cream. They have an amazing brownie Sundae, my favorite! How ever if you show up with your family on a rainy day you might get told to get off the porch. I guess one bad employee should not ruin your experience but when there is no one there and it's pouring down rain and you're waiting for your family, that drove from out of town, celebrating a birthday, to get their ice cream...it's a pity. The ice cream is typically good, it's the service that's embarrassing. I was disappointed with how rude my last encounter was, the girl messed up our order and then said she cannot change our ice cream, even though she had messed it up. I love Mr. freeze but I was highly disappointed this evening when I went. After waiting in line for 15 minutes I ordered two cake-alicious ice creams with vanilla yogurt to take home. When I got home and my boyfriend and I went to dig into our ice creams there was one important key ingredient missing.... THE CAKE. We ended up with two French vanillas yogurts with just a bunch of sprinkles :( after looking forward to this treat I was so sad to have nothing but sprinkles in my ice cream.
