I brought my very old sewing machine in, not knowing what was wrong.

One is on 3240 W Lawerence Ave Ave which is where I've bought 95% of the appliances I've bought from L & L over the years. The second store was @ 4250 W Montrose (this is basically a storage yard) and the third one that I went to today for the first time is @ 2553 W North Ave. they are nothing fancy just inexpensive functional appliances. L & L Appliances has a large assortment of different used appliances for personal & commercial use. I use to own 3 buildings so I needed to buy used appliances like refrigerators & stoves for the tenants & an occasional coin operated washer & dryer for a fraction of buying something brand new. They are a second hand refurbished appliance stores. I have an upright freezer in the basement of my house that isn't working properly so I called L & L Appliances to see if they might have something to fit my needs wo/having to buy a brand new freezer. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just functional to fit within given dimensions in an alcove in my basement. I called one of my contacts at L & L only to be refered to another person. I texted information to my new contact on what I was looking for and the search began. I touched base about once a week just to let him know I was still looking. Well persistence pays off as there are other people that were also looking for a utilitarian freezer, nothing fancy just functional to fit the designed space. I received a photo of the freezer that was available. It is a little smaller both in height & depth then the one I have now but we can live with it. I looked at it today at the North Ave location bought is and have delivery set up for tomorrow afternoon. L & L Appliances has 3 stores, but all 3 are currently closed due to Covid (no walk ins wo/an appointment. 2 out of 3 of my contacts are either deceased or retired. I set up a time w/Chuck the last of the Mohicans to meet him and see the freezer in question. I have dealt w/them for years. Sure they're not brand new and for my purposes they didn't have to be top of the line manufacturers, but I fear they're a dying breed as Father Time is catching up w/the owners of L & L. I have literally saved thousands of dollars over the years buying used appliances from L & L and will continue ur to as long as the need arises or until they close up shop. Thanks L & L for many years of good reliable appliances at a fraction of the cost of brand new ones.

Well.. we went to Appliances 4 Less and fell in love. Discounted prices and lovely appliances. They have 3 locations plus a warehouse so if you're looking for something please talk to Frank. Frank was patient and kind the entire time. He explained the delivery process and how the warranty works. YES, there are warranties on these appliances. Just go check them out, you'll thank me later.

Our refrigerator is only 4 years old. Each time we call them to ask why they are not getting us serviced, they say the can't find a technician/repair service. We live in a town within 40 miles of 5 big cities so this makes no sense!. After many complaints from us, LG said they would 'escalate' it ....but we learned this is terminology they use to make you think they are actually doing something....so now this supppsed higher priority team - Presidential Liason Area - is now on it with one representative who rarely informs us as to what is going on - all we get are vague promises with no definitive action. I finally made one phone call after a week of LG telling me they can't find a technician to fix our refrigerator to a local repair company who said they do LG warranty work- it took me five minutes to find them - and sent LG their contact information. LG said they would contact them and get a service agreement worked out. Now we are constantly having to contact LG to tell them to answer this repair company's emails to get things arranged so that we can get a repair appointment. LG just drags their feet. The repair company emailed them on a Wednesday and when I checked the following Friday, LG had not answered the repair company's email. This warranty repair should not have taken this long. It is becoming obvious that LG does not honor their warranty in an efficient manner. The local repair company has been waiting for LG to contact them. In speaking with the repair company we understand that our first appointment will be to diagnose the issue themselves even though one company who does not do LG warranty work already diagnosed it.....and to order any part that will be needed. Meaning we could be without a refrigerator for another week or two. All of this is due to the poor customer service we have experienced with LG and not standing behind the warranty in a satisfactory and timely manner. We bought this LG refrigerator in good faith for $3500 just 4 years ago. We can not believe this horrible service and In this day and age, refrigeration is sort of a daily necessity to daily living!

Located at the end of one of the hallways in the lower level of the old post office, this place is totally magic and will convince you that you need two or three ovens in your kitchen and a gigantic refrigerator that matches the wall decor! Full disclosure, we were going here to drool at the ovens more than anything, however we came out with a good understanding of why the brand does what they do, and many of the things they offer. We learn that everything is a standard size, 24 or 30 inches across, so that you can interchange many of the items. It makes sense, was just something we never heard before. The breath of offerings they have is pretty incredible and the gal who helped us kama Sara, was very knowledgeable. A lot of the stuff does the selling by itself, but she definitely knew the high points to hit and was super low key about it. It was nice to feel like she was just telling us about it rather than selling it to us. The full kitchen and full bar set ups were quite impressive, and apparently they have monthly cooking demonstrations where someone will actually make you food on the item you are looking to purchase. Pretty sweet deal in our opinions. The most impressive thing we saw was the steam convection oven, which reports to be able to cook phyllo dough wrapped ice cream without melting the ice cream. If we'd actually seen that in person I may have just bought it there and tried to install it in my car. The informational stuff that they have available was very good for planning purposes and the set up here is very conducive to actually seeing what things look like in a variety of different kitchen layouts. Great store to browse, especially when the kids are at home with Grandma!

Signed us up for the cooking demo online which fills up fast. We actually lucked out that someone canceled. There were a lot of people there of which most seemed to be designers than actual homeowners. The demo was very impressive and we learned a lot about their appliances. Full meal provided including, pizza, scallops, steak, veggies, desert which was all complimentary. Upon leaving we were given a very nice cutting board and folder including the appliances we are interested in. We are better informed upon visiting their demo.
