Great room with many appliances and various brand names! Very happy to have discovered this in our neighborhood. It beats having to drive out to ABT in the suburbs, and prices appear to be comparable. The room is deceiving from the outside as it doesn't look very large, but once inside it's deep and long. They moved to this location about six years ago I understand. The sales team is very friendly. Moji was very helpful and spent a lot of time with us, shopping for a new hood for our stove. He showed us the various options and was very honest and frank about all their brands, speaking from his experience, 28 years in the industry. When we had an issue of size of the chimney with the installation (due to a misunderstanding during the order) Moji was very kind offering to resolve it without further cost. Proving the old adage the customer is always right still exists. We would definitely come back here for other appliance needs. It's also just a fun place to browse, and learn a few things about appliances from the experts. They also have some floor models, and discontinued models with deep discounts. My 20 year old Maytag refrigerator went out on me I needed a 30 x 30x66 refrigerator. Refrigerators in that size are not made by many manufacturers. Adulting 101 - Appliance Edition: Last month, my stackable washer/dryer started acting up, randomly locking and displaying a bewildering array of flashing lights on the washer display panel. My default of plugging and unplugging the machine no longer worked, leading me to consult with my trusted appliance repair person. After his diagnosis, I found out that three of the needed replacement parts were either no longer in stock or not being manufactured due to the age (around 10 years old) of the machine. There was also a small leak under the machine, of which I had no awareness. Since I couldn't simply replace the washer, without the dryer going out of balance, I decided on a laundry center as a standalone solution that would fit in my laundry room/closet. I've not had to purchase my own appliances prior to this, so I did not know where to turn. It was through Omar, my repair person, that I came to know about Grand Appliance. With his list of specifications, I was able to easily locate the product I needed on Grand's web site. As luck would have it, I got a few hundred dollars off the listed price thanks to the early Black Friday sales going on. I phoned the store the next day and spoke with Jeffrey, who guided me through the process of getting the delivery set up and answering my questions. He even went so far as to provide a certificate of insurance specifying my name, so that I could reserve my building's freight elevator. The delivery itself had a few hiccups, but I knew this going in as it is not easy to locate my building's loading dock since it is in the warren of streets off Lower Wacker Drive. I took some deep breaths that day, for sure, but overall pleased with my experience and happy to have my new appliance in the house before the winter weather strikes! read more
