Wow my first 5 star review! First time trying this place today. We had take out order and you don't have to wait long. They are a busy place but hello! They are popular. The gentleman running the place is SO friendly the customer service is superb! The food was delishish and very generous! I tried the combo plate and enough food for two meals at least! The falafel is good seems homemade and crispy but not soggy and a little spice to them. Will be returnign for sure! read more

Got the lamb and beef gyros with the basket of fries, which was generously portioned for the price! The gyro was delicious and the cheese sprinkled over the freshly made fries were a nice touch. There were a few people in line in front of me but the service was super fast and friendly. I went to Mr. Gyro based on their great reputation. I was completely disappointed. We both had the chicken gyro. There was hardly any chicken, mostly a lot of lettuce on a thin pita. If this was the only gyro I'd ever had I would just think I don't like gyros and never go back. I will say the service was fabulous and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Even so, I won't go back. There are much better gyros in the city. read more

The pita was soft and warm, lamb was tender and flavorful, and the veggies were fresh. I got a small greek salad in the side that was very fresh as well. This place is absolutely incredible! If you like this type of food you won't be disappointed. It's a small hole in the wall with limited seating so you might have to stand at the bar. But no worries, once you take your first bite, you'll forget you're standing and will be thinking about nothing except for the next bite. Fresh, delectable little lamb from a skewer, with thick, rich tzitziki sauce, covered in onions, tomatoes, and cucumber - oh how I love thee when served piping hot in your pita from Mr. Gyros in Ballard. I'll drive over from Capitol Hill in the middle of the day to satisfy that craving, knowing I'll have half a gyro stashed away for later consumption. The brothers that run the joint are funny as h-e-double-hockey sticks, and very customer-service oriented. They want you to enjoy the food as much as they enjoy making it and serving it up. And it is mouth-watering. Best gyros in all Seattle. But be forewarned: they close at 8:30 PM mon-thurs. Friday nights their window is open til 2:30am, you lucky drunken Ballardites. read more

How have I not reviewed this place yet? I eat there all the time. The falafel sandwich is awesome, and downright cheap, and the falafel plate is even better, with their delicious house babaganoush. The French fries with feta are yummy, too, and I love the warm Arabic tea that's complimentary when you dine in. The food is legit and delicious, the price is right and the place is always bustling, but what really makes it special is the service. The second I walk in the door, I get a hearty warm welcome from the friendly guy behind the counter -- he always remembers my name and what I order and takes time to be friendly with my kid, too. No matter how busy they are (which always and very), and has the most awesome, friendly, positive attitude ever. Makes it my favorite neighborhood spot. read more

Mr Gyros is the only place to go for gyros in the city; the food is good but not spectacular; this is a gyro shop, not The Book Bindery. This place merits 5 stars because of the efforts of its staff who are the nicest, friendliest, most considerate and helpful group of folks you will ever meet in a fast food joint or anywhere else. I came in at 3:02, not realizing they had closed, but they welcomed me in kindly and cheerfully and had my falafel sandwich and fries ready in no time. I really enjoyed the fries with feta and seasoning, the pita bread used for the falafel sandwich was soft and delicious, and the falafels were just right.
