My wife & I were looking to try Pakistani food for the first time and our good friend Salman,…read morehighly recommended Spice Korner. He said the family is very, very nice and the food and atmosphere is wonderful. So we decided to take the trek to Richmond to see what our friend was talking about. He was absolutely 100% right; we were warmly greeted by Tehmina and when we told her it was our first time visiting and first time even trying Pakistani food, she was so happy and excited to share what they had to offer. Everything looked so good and the prices were shockingly fair - so we decided to have her help us decide and she offered two chicken dishes and two beef. Each were splendid and amazingly delicious and prepared with love. If you already love Pakistani food or are new to this awesome cuisine as we were, you and your family need to do yourselves a favor and stop by to experience the first-class friendly service with lovingly prepared like home-made dishes. Tell them David & Amy sent you and we'll probably see you there as we look forward to coming back to try the other items on their menu!

Very oily. Stirring didn't help much. Taste was average. Samosas are delicious. Naan is average. Will try again but won't order Chicken Handi. Disappointing.

Kurry Walah -- Mother's Day Uber Eats Review…read more For Mother's Day, I decided to try the Uber Eats route and create an Indian buffet at home so we could relax by the pool. I'll say that was what my wife wanted, but truthfully, I wanted to hit the buffet myself. That said, the food was flavorful overall, and the cuts of meat were better than I expected for delivery. We definitely over-ordered and tried a little bit of everything, so there will be a ton of leftovers. The butter chicken was my biggest disappointment. I ordered it extra hot, but it came out about as spicy as the medium items we ordered. The chicken biryani was a little salty, but not inedible. Honestly, I would rather it be slightly over-seasoned than under-seasoned. My wife loved her food. My daughter was not as impressed and felt her meal was average. I was somewhere in the middle. The one pricing miss for me was the side of white rice. At over $4, that feels like highway robbery for a basic side of rice. To be fair, I only ordered it because I wasn't sure what came with rice and wanted to have extra in case someone needed some. Everything else felt pretty much in line with market pricing, especially given the portion sizes and the quality of the meat. My score: 3.5/5 My wife's score: 4/5 My daughter's score: 2.9/5 Overall, call it a solid 3.5 to 4, depending on what you order. Good flavor, generous portions, and plenty of leftovers.

We had the family garlic naan I forgot which karahi but the chicken breast with a cream based sauce, mango lassi, chole (chickpeas), lahori fish. It took me this long to go because I kept looking at their prices and couldn't justify, but don't be like me and let it scare you away. The portions are definitely more than enough for 2. They are not stingy with their portion size. Looks like their weekday lunch prices are pretty decent so I'm going to have to go back for that for sure. Pretty much everything we had was great. I will say next time I want to try a more traditional tomato based Karahi. Family size Naan was $10 it's probably like 3 regular naan super fluffy not dense so it's easy to eat. Chole was perfect great flavor all around chickpeas were soft. Mango lassi was good but I think it was too heavy for me so I may pass on it next time and leave more room for food. Not sure what kind of fish they use for the lahori fish but the flavors were great, I feel like it should come with fries and I wish it was another type of fish but otherwise on point. The Karahi was chicken breast, really good flavor if you are introducing someone to Pakistani food,it's cream based so it's milder but still has great flavor. My bill was around $87 and I definitely had leftovers. I suggest not going alone if you are getting off the regular menu and not weekday lunch.
