I have visited them two times. Their BBQ is one of the best on St. Pete. A few years ago, the line for the BBQ is long. For the past weekend, the line is very short, I decided to get the half rack of pork rib. The price of rib is in the medium. The half rack is about 5 long rib. The meat of the rib is plenty. The marinated sauce also very good. They are delicious. We have good experience for the vendors. read more

Ribs was NOT GOOD! RIBS WERE NOT GOOD!!! Tried the rib sandwich at Corey Ave in St Pete Beach. Ribs were elite warm, meat hard, nothing remotely falling off the bone, had to take it home and air fry to make it decent. A waste of money I have to assume either it was a bad batch or people who made reviews never had ribs done juicy falling off the bone goood! Great barbecue and sides! We stopped by his booth at the St. Pete Saturday Market and had ribs, collard greens and potato salad. All were excellent! I know and appreciate good barbecue when I taste it! Highly recommend! I'm not sure if he has a restaurant, but I sure wish he did. read more

Have you seen the tall man wearing a tuxedo? This is him! He's usually serving his BBQ & southern-style veggies at the Saturday Morning Market in Downtown St Pete, and has also been a staple at St Petersburg's Green Thumb Festival in Walter Fuller Park for many years. I don't think he actually has a vehicle like typical "food trucks", so I'm not sure if he regularly attends other events. For quite a few years, I have waited semi-patiently in line for Mr. I Got 'Em's food at the Green Thumb Festival. Sometimes, I get a pulled pork meal with 2 sides ($10, I think). Other times, I order a la carte ($3 for a good-size "small"). I always get the Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese, whether with a meal or individually. They also sell canned sodas for $1. The Mac & Cheese is amazing. It's always very cheesy and fresh, never mushy nor dry. Their Collard Greens are quite crisp & tasty, with a bit of heat, along with shredded pieces of turkey. I've also enjoyed the pulled pork, as their sauce is sweet & has no heat that I remember. The line moves quickly, as service is efficient. They're also friendly! I look for this vendor every year at the Green Thumb Festival, and whenever I make it to the Saturday Morning Market. read more

Got a half slab of ribs 05/19/2024 at Corey Ave, from Mr. I Got 'Em. At 4 ribs and drank a glass of water. This was the only food or drink I had the entire day. Around 4:30 pm I started making frequent trips to our bathroom. This continued until 2 am. I've been in the food service industry for over 30yrs. I would guess that sanitation was lacking, or food prep temps were not watched carefully. Hot food should be kept at 140 degrees and up and cold food 38 degrees and below. You can't afford to let meat sit at room temps while trying to season them. read more
