My husband had been craving for a pastrami sandwich the last few weeks. He recently stumbled upon a social media ad for Mr, J's Char Burgers, so we went to go check them out. My family and I stopped by on a weekday at lunch, and there were barely any customers. We decided to order through the drive through. Service was friendly and extremely fast. Their menu is extensive and, as first time visitors, we had a ton of questions. The woman on the other end of the speaker was patient with us as we tried to finalize their orders. Our ordered consisted of - 2 Pastrami Burgers - 1 order of the value Chili cheese fries The pastrami burger was fine. It wasn't extraordinary but also wasn't awful. It was a solid burger with good pastrami. The fries were fried crispy and the chili had good flavor with a bit of a kick. Unfortunately, immediately after this meal and through the next day, my husband and I contracted some sort of stomach bug. It was such a shame because we wanted to love them and possibly revisit. We could have just come in an off day, but we're not willing to take the risk to come back and re-contract whatever we got from our meal. read more

Overpriced greasy food! I'm very upset with myself for giving them a 5th try , because boy did they disappoint today. I had to drive back to the store to pick up my $19 dollar pastrami , meanwhile all my food is getting cold at home. The bags of food had spilled ranch containers all over the fries, the chili cheese fries are so greasy that the juice leaked out and got all ocer the other food containers and drenched the napkins. The last time I came here I ordered a quesadilla and it was so nasty. The meat was hard and dry, the cheese was gross and hard. I had to chew my quesadilla a lot just to eat it. The time before that, I ordered a pastrami, which was really good and that is what I ordered the first 2 times I came here. The thid time I ordered a deep fried burrito and was shocked to find out it was the size of those tiny frozen Tina's burritos you get from the grocery store. No wonder it was 7 bucks, because the full sized burritos are double the price. I wanted to give them another try after that because my family liked their burgers, chili fries, and pastrami sandwiches. Boy that was a mistake too. I ordered taquitos and those were nasty too. Now now now... this place is good they're better than Tams which is down the street . But good god are they expensive the portions are nothing to write home about. I was really craving a BLT, so my husband went out to get us sandwiches. Our first thought was Farmer Boys, but he decided to try Mr. J's instead. He specifically asked for a BLT with soft bacon, not crispy, and even paid an extra $4.78 for additional bacon and $0.75 for ranch. What we got was the complete opposite--extremely crispy bacon, not extra at all, and definitely not what we ordered. By the time my husband got home, it wasn't even worth going back to fix it. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to it. I wish I had taken a picture to show the discrepancy. The order clearly said extra bacon, and although the lady spoke in Spanish, my husband thinks she acknowledged the request for soft bacon. Unfortunately, the end result didn't reflect that. On Oct 06, 2025 at or around 19::00 pm, I decided to stop in Mr.J's char burger and order a triple meat pattie with cheese. I stated it twice to the order taker, ' fresh off the grill with everything ' and I will wait for it. The order came to $10.21 and I replied that would be to go! After a few minutes wait time, my to go order was ready! I took my order went home to enjoy a triple Patty char burger only to discover the order was wrong... again! Several months prior down the road, the something happened again This appears to be consistent going there and it's important if you do go there check your order before leaving. The days of orders getting it right are gone! In the past I've corrected them on a dine in order and the crew lost their woke ass shit! Now your asking what person endures such poor customer service! The answer lies in good faith, I like their burgers at the expense of customer satisfaction. I think after this incident I will spend the extra money, drive the extra distance for a better burger adventure, a burger establishment that takes pride in another level, instead of beating you up for their fuck up. The food was really good, especially considering the price. We saw a video on TikTok and decided to give it a try. When we went inside, we were greeted with a large menu full of many options. I started placing an order, but the lady at the register was quite rude and rolled her eyes when we asked questions about the menu. I felt a bit offended, but we kept going. The food ended up being delicious. Our kid forgot to order his drink, so my husband went back to get it. It took him about 10 minutes to place the order, even though he was the only one in line turns out the cashier was on her phone. The cheeseburgers are full of Flavor, zucchini is amazing definitely suggest trying them, regular fries are tasty. Moving on to what brought us in, the Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries, they were disappointing as the chili was extremely greasy saturating the fries so much for ordering the fries crispy they ended up soggy, however the pastrami is good. Ordered a sausage and egg burrito for breakfast via GrubHub delivery, since I haven't actually been to the restaurant I can't review the service or ambiance unfortunately. I did receive the correct order and thought it tasted good. Probably not the most delicious breakfast burrito ever, but definitely still good, especially with the salsa and pico on it. I was surprised to only get a burrito though, and maybe this was just me misinterpreting the menu, I thought the hash browns came on the side but it came in the burrito. I asked for them and they said "I didn't charge you for fries.
