This is our go to snack when in Animal Kingdom. They are a little pricey but a great snack when you are near Everest. Crispy, crunchy and a great sauce. The fries are exceptional as well, warming though, they are seasoned. Stop for a snack and a refreshing treat and enjoy them by the river overlooking the Tree of Life.

I dont know why this place has such good ratings because it is so meh. They're known for their Chicken Dumplings and fries, so I decided to go with both. The dumplings are fried and filled with chicken. It comes with a ponzu sauce that is so thin, it barely sticks on to the dumplings. The dumplings themselves arent that filled and you only get 3 of them for the "low price" of $6.79, which is crazy to think that each one is over $2. The fries are actually pretty good. They're fried nicely with them not being overly crispy and not overly soft. They are also seasoned really well with a side a siracha mayo. The fries are almost the same price as the dumplings sadly. Luckily the line here wasnt long, but I cant see how this place could survive with such average tasting food for such expensive prices. I know WDW has average food, but this is certainly on the lower end.

    Small portion for $6.00- Fries

Ok so lots of hype about the seasoned fries- hmm ok. I will never turn a fry away unless it's a soggy crinkle thing- those things are Nasty with a capital N!!!! Yeah so fries ok- not $6.00 worth for the size, but lest talk about the true winner of this stand!!! The chicken dumplings!!! Wham, Bam, thank you ma'am!! They are slamming!

a basket of fries and dipping sauce

Pot stickers and seasoned French fries Are really really good but the dipping sauces are truly an experience. It's a grab and go type of kiosk near Mount Everest in animal kingdom. Quick service. There are areas all around To sit if you choose to but it is outdoors.

From food bloggers and Yelp reviews for Mr. Kamal's, we came here for the Seasoned Fries - "Topped with Tzatiki sauce and Sriracha ketchup." They looked great in all the posts, and everyone was raving about the sauces and how everything worked so well together. The seasoned fries menu showed me a different picture from what I've seen from the Yelp reviews. I got a little worried, and then my worries became a reality. No Tzatiki sauce and no Sriracha ketchup. =( To the side there were four dipping sauces to explore. The Tandoori Honey Mustard was my champion. The fries themselves were decent, nothing special or bad about them. They are skinny and heavily seasoned with a ton of salt so have a beverage around to help wash it down. Was I disappointed that they didn't top the fries with the Tzatiki sauce and Sriracha ketchup toppings, yes. (obviously lol) Would I stop by again on a future visit for the fries again? Yes, if there isn't a line. Good luck!

Delicious! I think Animal Kingdom has the best food of all the Disney parks. We tried the dumplings and the fries. The dumplings were so good, hot and crispy. The dipping sauce was perfect. The fries were also amazing. They come with a seasoning on them and then we got the curried honey mustard and Korean chili ketchup on the side. I loved both of those sauce, I could've drank them!

I tried their fried chicken dumplings and their seasoned fries. I wish there were more than 3 dumplings because the portion size is so sad lol. That's like $2 per dumpling however, it was pretty crispy and tasty. It came with a ponzu sauce. The sauce didn't really make much of a difference in my opinion. Thankfully the portion for fries was a lot better haha. The selection of sauces for the fries weren't that great (sriracha ketchup sauce and some mustard sauce). I saw that they used to offer aioli and I wish they still had that when I tried it. I also found the fries extremely salty and didn't feel the need to use any of the sauces.

So only giving this four stars because the sauce that went with the fries was really good. Very heavily seasoned had to kinda shake it off?? The potstickers were ok, not bad but nothing special. Over all was a quick cheap lunch because I didn't want to wait around and kill time in a sit down restaurant. Enjoyed eating at one of the tables that over looked the water!

While exploring Animal Kingdom we stumbled upon Mr. Kamal's and it was the perfect spot for a quick snack. With a limited menu, this grab-and-go kiosk has great options that are vegetarian friendly and delivers quick snack items that hit the spot. We opted for the Mr. Kamal's Seasoned Fries and they were excellent, good portion size and great flavor. The crispy fries come coated in spice and seasoning and are then topped with tzatziki salad and sriracha ketchup. There is plenty of seating behind the kiosk that provide great views of the Tree of Life. This is a location we will absolutely visit next time we need a quick snack fix while in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

There's always a small line here and most people go for the fries or falafel. The fries are seasoned well and the combination of tzatziki sauce and sriracha ketchup is so good! The only downside is that you don't get that much sauce and you're looking to scrape up the sides of the bowl with your last few pieces of fries. Great snack for when you're making your way between Africa and Asia.

In the middle of our tour in Disney's Animal Kingdom I needed a quick snack. So while coming down the pathway between the areas of Africa and Asia. Lo and behold, Mr. Kamal's. In their small menu I went for "Mr. Kamal's Seasoned Fries" for a decent portion of fries its $5.29. The French fries were crispy and it had a good amount of Cajun seasoning. Its topped with Tzatziki salad which is cucumber yogurt. When having the sriacha ketchup it had a medium spiciness to it but, you'll notice its ketchup flavor. At first, I thought the topping combinations was kinda weird, overall it wasn't too bad. The other two options on the menu are Falafel with Tzatziki and Hummus with vegetables and mini pitas. I don't have a clue who Mr. Kamal is, there's no picture or information if he's a fictional Disney Character. I'm guessing its one of those hidden Disney mysteries or probably a random name insert filler that needs to be attached to this kiosk.

Mr. Kamal's Seasoned Fries - Topped with Tatzki salad and Sriracha ketchup I feel like I shouldn't have to write more. This is all you need to know. I get this each and every time I go to AK now. Even if all we do is rush to Pandora to ride Flight of Passage, I make my way to the back of park between Africa & Asia to get these. The fries alone are delicious, the seasoning is great. But the Tatzki Salad!? Heavenly! I LOVE Tatziki and could, and would, each a heaping bowl of just that. A bit spicy from the Sriracha Ketchup, but so worth it. My favorite snack among all the Disney Parks!

They offer one of the best falafels I've ever tried. It's so flavorful packed with spices but not spicy. The fries were the next best thing. Perfectly crispy and dusted with paprika. Delicious. Worth waiting for if there is a line.

I had high hopes walking into Saffron Indian Cuisine on 7724 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando FL…read more especially arriving right at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday when the doors opened. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. My wife chose the buffet, assuming everything would be freshly prepared at opening time. To our surprise, every single item on the buffet line was cold -- from the rice and chicken dishes to the biryani and palak paneer. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food should be hot and ready to serve. Cold curries and rice immediately take away from both texture and flavor, and in this case, the dishes tasted flat and lacked the depth of spices you expect from Indian cuisine. Based on this visit, I would recommend skipping the buffet and ordering from the regular menu instead. Buffet selections often feel like the more economical options, and here they were devoid of the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. I ordered the chicken biryani from the à la carte menu. It was noticeably better -- aromatic and more flavorful than the buffet items. However, it still missed an important element. Traditionally, biryani is prepared by marinating the chicken and cooking it together with the rice so the spices infuse the meat and every bite is cohesive. In this case, while the rice carried some fragrance, the chicken itself was not well marinated and tasted bland on its own. It felt more assembled than thoughtfully cooked together. Another important point is pricing. The dishes are on the expensive side, and at those prices, the flavors and overall quality should be excellent. When you're paying premium prices, you expect depth of seasoning, proper preparation, and attention to detail -- not cold buffet trays or under-marinated meat. Service was the bright spot of the visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly disappointing. With better attention to temperature, flavor development, and consistency, this place could justify its pricing -- but on this visit, it fell short.

The pakora was fried perfectly and had the right amount of spices, making it so flavorful and addicting that my mom enjoyed it so much. The the goat was tender and flavorful from being with the bones. The cashew chicken was good, but also had bones. The chicken tikka was boneless and the chicken was soft. The sauces were flavorful and medium spiced. The tandoori chicken was cooked nicely, but you did need a knife and fork to cut it. For the vegetarian dishes, the okra and potato were both enjoyable. The paneer dish was a bit too sweet for me, and the vegetable biryani seemed to have golden raisins, which I didn't enjoy. For dessert, I just took the fruit custard, which was mostly just fruit in a mango milk/sauce. It was still delicious! We all agreed that the food was great here for the buffet!
