At no point was I "thoroughly explained" that the service I was receiving would result in lower-quality work because of the price (no I didn't refuse any first quote, I actually paid more than the original offer for oem paint) In fact, they were the ones encouraging me to move forward with the project while I already had other work being done on the car. They also claim they repaired dents and body damage at no cost. That's misleading. I specifically asked whether the dings around the vehicle would cost extra because I was willing to pay for them, and I was told they would take care of them. That was their decision, not something I requested for free. As for the warranty, I was originally told there was a 5-year warranty on the work. However, after bringing the car back shortly after pickup to address issues I wasn't satisfied with, I was later told the warranty was no longer valid. Now the response claims it was only a 2-year warranty, which is not what I was told. The problem has never been about money. The problem is the quality of the work and the lack of accountability afterward. If a shop offers a service and accepts a job, they should stand behind the results instead of later claiming the customer didn't pay enough. Looking through other reviews, it seems like any negative feedback is met with an explanation of why the customer is at fault. I understand wanting to defend your business, but accountability goes a lot further than shifting blame. Written estimates, warranty terms, and expectations should be clearly documented to avoid situations like this in the future. This review is not about me trying to get my way or get a free paint job, this review is to save someone the headache of getting a bad paint job. I would never bring my car back here for any work, free or not.

The estimate he gave me was way more than the resell value of my car by several folds, so it makes sense. Even with the sentimental value of my car, the paint work would not be worth it, as Mr Lee pointed out. And going with a partial paint job, the new paint won't fully match the original. He also advised me that if I did want to repaint me car, it would be best to keep it the same color as the original factory paint to ensure the best appearance. After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge".
