I work very long hours, leaving little to no time for me to clean my apartment. I contacted Mr Maid NY and Steven (owner) was very professional and personable. I ended up booking the deep clean as this was the first time I was getting my apartment professionally cleaned. Day of, the cleaner showed up on time and immediately got to work. My kitchen sink, bathtub, and every mirror in my apartment is spotless! She also did a very good job on the floors as well. On another hand, it was very apparent that she cleaned around certain things (bedroom dresser and bathroom shelves) as opposed to moving the stuff cleaning and then putting it back. I left out new linens for the bed, new bathroom rugs and shower curtain - none of which was utilized. I don't think I would have cared much if it was the standard cleaning, but for a deep cleaning, I expected a bit more. In the end, my Venmo wasn't working but Steven was nice enough to accept my payment via Zelle. Overall, the customer service was phenomenal and my apartment is def cleaner, but there is room for improvement. If possible, I would've given it 3.5 stars, but decided to round up. read more

One bedroom cleaning scheduled approximately 24 hours in advance. Professional, transparent, efficient, and thorough. Tops of cabinets, refrigerators and entertainment centers were cleaned. They carefully removed items to clean and replace (as opposed to cleaning around picture frames and tchochkes). Now I can decorate for the holidays. So far I've had mr clean come twice and I've been satisfied with the results. The prices are reasonable and the two cleaners move at a good rate. They also bring their own equipment which some of the cleaning companies do not do. The best part is that the owner is incredibly responsive and easy to work with. He does his best to meet your needs and schedule and that is highly appreciated. Communicating with the cleaners can be difficult at times so you have any special requests or particular things you want or need, it's best to communicate that to the owner beforehand but otherwise I will continue to use them and have scheduled a recurring clean with them going forward read more

After a year in lockdown because of COVID, with both my wife and I working a full-time job while also taking care of our young child, our place was a mess. There was never any time to do a decent clean of our apartment and, if there actually was, we were too wiped out. So I booked Mr Maid for a deep clean. They did an amazing job! They got the baked-on grease off of our stove top. They removed the layer of dirt off of our bathtub. They scrubbed and wiped every surface until it looked like new. Our place looks a million times better now! The two women who showed up were respectful and courteous and professional and listened to what I needed before getting right to work. I think they were here for about 4 hours? It was a little pricey, but well worth it. I would definitely book again in the future. One last note: Mr Maid only accepts Venmo or cash. (I think cash was the other option?) Not a problem, but I don't remember reading that on their website. Just be prepared to have a Venmo account if you want to book their services. I had originally planned on paying by credit card, but then had to do some last minute bank maneuvering to proceed with the Venmo. read more

The cleaners were very punctual on arriving. Which was wonderful. The cleaners were also very nice. The whole cleaning only took about an hour. The place smelled nice, but they missed a couple areas I specifically asked them to pay attention to. For example I asked did you move everything on the counter (it was a toaster) and clean the counter underneath. They said yes, so I moved it and it had not been touched. Granted they did apologize and clean it immediately. But it makes me wonder what other corners they cut in the cleaning process. Update: I just looked at the areas the company typically cleans and specifically checked those areas: just to mention a couple things that weren't touched or cleaned that I didn't even think to look at specifically; baseboards weren't dusted, outside of the toilet (at the base) was not cleaned, the shower was not scrubbed, the window sills were not cleaned. Front of appliances were only partially cleaned...I'm wondering what did I pay for besides a sweep and mop to make my apartment smell like it was cleaned...? This was my first time having my apartment cleaned using a company - I've learned a lot. It would be nice if they came back and tried again...the apartment is vacant until Tuesday! read more
