Based on the other reviews here, they will respond with an excuse about a miscommunication, but can assure that no one came to our appt at all. We went away for 3 weeks for our wedding and honeymoon and I had this service scheduled to come the day before we got home (booked weeks in advance) - my surprise to my husband that we would come home to a clean home. They never showed at all, just a haphazard text saying they didn't have the apartment number (they did have the address, just not apr number supposedly - meanwhile doorman was prepared with the keys, name of service, and our friend was waiting there in the apt to receive them - if they had shown up, it would have been no issue at all). Updating because unfortunately when I went to use my kitchen this morning I saw they had scrubbed the paint off of the hood above my stove. Customer service experience was pretty terrible. Not customer friendly. I booked their service online and had no interaction with anyone until the day of the cleaning. Indicated the number of bedrooms and marked the extra bathroom for an additional fee. Really liked the claim of "flat rate, no surprises" on the website since I have been burned before. I was new to the service and apparently missed a box in the booking. The day of service arrived and a representative from Mr. Maid did a walk through of the area to be cleaned. Several hours passed while they worked away. When they finished, we did a final walkthrough that ended with me sending electronic payment. As I went to pay, I was informed that his boss said he had to charge an additional $30 because it was two floors. I was surprised but paid the additional money and later reached out via email to customer service. I stated that I was disappointed at not being informed of the additional charge until after service was rendered, particularly because the website states there are no surprises. The response I received is exactly why I felt compelled to write this negative experience. The reply email contained no text whatsoever, just a screenshot (attached) from their website of a section that I clearly did not see with a check box for multi level units with a big red circle around it. a simple "hey I think you missed this but yes, it is our policy" would have been enough for me. But clearly it is more important for the business to throw a policy in the face of someone who was not aware of it than to try to act professionally and explain that it was a valid charge even if it wasn't clear to a new client. Mind you I did not request or demand a refund, I simply reached out with my concerns and expressed disappointment. I would suggest patronizing a place that treats customers like human beings. read more

Cons: For the price of a move in/out clean I think they could have done more - just missed one or two spots and in some places I would have wished they did a bit of a deeper clean (e.g., showers, toilet).
