So let me start by saying, the pizza here looks good. I have no issues with the quality of food or the set up. My issue, is that this place is CASHLESS! I walked in with a girl friend of mine and ordered a few slices. When I went to pay, the cashier says, "sorry, we're cashless." I'm sorry, but when restaurants do this, I'm extremely offended. The fu**? You won't take my money? She says "Is that ok?" I'm like "no, it's not ok. I don't see a sign about it." Then she points at this tiny little message in the corner of the menu that says, - we're a cashless business. I'm really sick of businesses doing this. I don't use credit cards unless I absolutely have to and I'm not trying to pay bogus fees every time I eat out. It adds up. It was embarrassing and frustrating to have to cancel my order and walk out because I didn't have a credit card I was willing to use! This kind of cashless business practice is a big problem and people need to push back against it. I know plenty of people struggling right now and forcing people to use credit cards isn't helping anyone! Change up your business practices and I'd be happy to come back and do another review. read more

I came to Mr. Moto Pizza for the first time with my family and decided to order everything by the slice so we could try a little bit of everything, and I honestly think that's the best way to do it. $5 a slice, why not. My favorite was easily the Furious Diablo. It had the perfect balance of buffalo to ranch ratio, and I liked it even more than the Rocky Mountains (which was also really good). My husband can be pretty hard to please, so when he said how much he liked the lobster bisque special, I knew it had to be good. He also got the California Love, which was good but a white pizza which isn't necessarily my first choice. We also shared the garlic knots and wings, and I really appreciated that the wings are baked instead of fried. It was a nice change from the usual pizza place wings. To top it off, the staff was amazing. For the record, the space was small but cute and parking was easy. Overall, it was just one of those meals where everyone found something they loved. We liked it so much that we're actually having Mr. Moto for our son's birthday party tomorrow. read more

I actually just went to their Orange location a couple weeks ago, and today I was driving through Newport, saw the sign outside and noticed they were doing a grand opening week... two slices and a drink for five bucks. so I pulled in immediately. Ha The place looks great. Bright, clean, open counter with the pizza right up front so you can see everything. Feels like a quick neighborhood slice shop you can swing into anytime. I grabbed the Mr. Moto slice again because I already knew I liked it. This one's got sausage, marinara, melted mozzarella and a scoop of ricotta on top. Thin crust with a crisp bottom but still soft inside. The sausage has a lot of flavor and the ricotta smooths everything out so it's not heavy. Just a really balanced slice and easy to eat. Then I tried the Mamma Moto with cherry tomato, burrata, truffle oil and parsley. Totally different vibe. Lighter and creamy from the burrata, and every bite gets a little pop from the tomato. The truffle is there but not overpowering which I liked. Honestly both slices were great and for five bucks with a drink it almost felt like stealing. Definitely glad I spotted the sign driving by because I'll for sure be back when I'm in the area. read more

Stuck them in the toaster over for a couple mins when we got home, and made the crust even better, stiffer. Normally, one slice alone is $5. Is worth it? I want to like this place I really do. I have ordered a few times and the pizza is actually pretty good. The issue is the service is terrible. I think they aren't hiring enough people. The last time I went to pick up and order after the stated ready time. I showed up to a very long line and no one at the register. After about 10 minutes a woman comes up to drop off a to go order. I finally get to ask about my order, and they hadn't even started it. That an hour of waiting plus wait time at the location and food hasn't started to be made. I think she could tell I had never been there before and looked a little overwhelmed because she let me know she can answer any questions I may have. It was a nice gesture.
