i've been to mr noodle twice now, and the food has been consistently fresh, hot, and delicious. i dined in for the Yelp event, and recently got takeout. the dishes are super flavorful but never feel too heavy or greasy despite the huge portion sizes. the prices are definitely reasonable. the stir fried noodles are easily my favorite. i love the veggies (lots of onions!) but they still provide ample protein. my only issue is the service and interior could be improved, but the food will keep me coming back regardless!
When it comes to Chinese food, Mr. Noodle delivers. Dishes are reasonably priced at around $15 and portions are generous so whenever I visit I never leave hungry. Take out staples like Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken are delicious (be sure to save the sauce from the Kung Pao dishes as it's great over plain rice). As you might imagine from the name, the noodle dishes are what really shine here. While the lamb dishes are generally my favorite, with the cumin lamb having heat and seasoning that perfectly balance the gamey lamb, you can't go wrong with any of them. If you're looking for something different - check out the steamed options. Their custard buns are fluffy and not overly sweet, while their pumpkin cake is the perfect vessel for dipping in sauces when they have it available.
I have never noticed this place before because - even though I go to this Ollie's sometimes - The way the store fronts are kind of accordioned means I actually thought there were only half as many stores as there were. Perspective is weird that way, I probably would have been here way before now had there been a sandwich board out front. Brought hubs here with me today and we were a little confused walking in. I sort of wish there were a big sign that says something like "seat yourself and order at your table". We saw the sign that says something like "order at this kiosk if you don't want to wait and are taking your food to go" so that will be really helpful in the future because I do imagine that this would be a great takeout spot in the future. I really like how the menu specifies the main ingredient in the dish, then lists the additional ingredients. That is really informative and helps to make an educated choice and I really wish more restaurants would go for that, instead of surprising you once the food comes. We ordered the Mongolian beef with rice and it came out almost immediately, it was crazy fast and I loved how tender the beef was and this is the first place I have ever been happy with how many vegetables they included in a dish. I know they are the cheaper part to include, but most places opt to just give you a smaller portion of beef and onions, but this place gives a nice amount of beef and a whole boatload of onions and green onions, which I LOVE. (I reeeeeeeally like onions.) I will say that I am pretty sensitive to oil, so I only took a couple of bites of food while we were here and we got a box to take the rest of our food home so I could eat it in the privacy of my own home because it was pretty oily. So if you have a sensitive digestive system (or don't have a gallbladder), you will probably want to take this to-go. The last thing I will say is that it can be a little... stand-offish... that the guy at the front counter didn't look up from his phone pretty much the entire time we were there. He was on his phone when we walked in, we stood there confused so he gets up and grabs two waters so we assumed we seated ourselves, he headed back to the counter and hopped back on his phone, rang up my order, went back to his phone... that would be awesome if I were a regular here, knew what to do, didn't want to talk to anybody... first time though, it kind of made us feel like he'd rather us not be cutting into his TikTok scrolling time. I'll probably still be back to grab takeout when I'm in the area though.

After giving it a try it seems they're merely trying to provide traditional hot Asian food quick & easy. There's no fuss about the place or the experience but overall it's a decent option if your in the area.
Upfront, I'd warn this place would have probably gotten a 5 if we didn't take it home. But it went hard regardless. Known for their hand pulled noodles, this place was small and filled with epic asian seating of all sorts (including the kind for solo/introvert goers to face the wall). We knew we had to lock in on the noodles and dumplings and were excited to get to see them being made in the kitchen while we waited for our order. Another kiosk in waiting (forever my favorite means of ordering), we went for half the menu: Scallion pancake, garlic chicken wings, pork and green onion dumplings-boiled, shrimp fried rice, and braised beef noodle soup. We took it home and probably close to 2 hours since our original pickup, we warmed everything vía microwave and there was no flavor compromised. The noodles for the soup was packaged separately to maintain their integrity. The helping of fried rice was big and the shrimp were not small or decorative with plenty to go around. The chicken wings had good flavor but smaller than the picture depicted upon ordering. Do yourself a favor and order more than one scallion pancake since you won't want to share. Dumplings were great and probably would go pan fried next time for more texture but came with a tasty chili oil to compliment. The noodles were tasty and the broth had that "ive been cooking long time" flavor you always want. We didnt get the depicted slab of meat from the images but some of these felt like things that would have been secured with dining in. It's worth the rave it currently has for the noodles and honestly just great flavor. I'd return for in person soup, some of the noodle dishes and to try their soup dumpling. Plus scallion pancakes for days, no doubt.
This is my husband to-go place for Chinese food. He loves the braised beef noodle soup and I like to try different things on the menu. This visit, I tried the Kung pao with beef and rice. It was rich with flavors-sweet and spicy and more than enough serving for one person. The pork dumplings are also pretty good and make sure to try it with the dipping sauce. This is probably my favorite dish. As for service, there's a QR code that you can order food from and pay at the same time. Food comes out pretty quick. And if you don't want to use the QR code, you can order from the staff too. Ambiance, you can catch up on the latest K-pop music while enjoying your meal! Plenty of seatings for 2 or more. Looking forward to the next thing to try on the menu!
Hand pulled noodles with great texture-not too soft and not too hard. Ordered several items- braised beef ramen, veggie noodle soup, veggie fried noodles, kimchi, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was really good the braised beef ramen was the stand out though. I was under the impression we were to place the order ourselves either at the kiosk or from our phone but a waitress does eventually come. Our waitress was nice but I wouldn't say this is a service forward restaurant. A drink order isn't taken when the waitress approaches you order anything you have decided on at the same time. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. The noodles are top notch so definitely order at least one thing that includes the hand pulled noodles.
Met here with my friend for between lunch and dinner. This is a small but cozy location that if you don't know where you're going, you could miss it completely. I'm talking , the sign is barely a few shades away from the brick. If you do know where to go, the food is delish! The dumpling pics online were super tempting so I got those with some spring rolls. There's a drink fountain for refills on soda and water, as well as canned drinks and teas available. Really, it's all very automated with a QR menu, self serve refills, and the server coming out to bring you your food and initial water. We did go up to the counter to get a to go bowl for her ramen, but that's the only other interaction with staff we had. If you're looking for recommendations or conversation and connection with staff, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a cozy place to unwind without feeling looked at constantly by staff, this is a great place.
Heard the hype and wanted to give it a try. We decided to get a noodle dish, soup and dumplings. Let me tell you- the food does not disappoint here! Everything was super flavorful. The noodles are looong and have that homemade texture. I also liked how the soup tastes flavorful but not over-salted. They give you some scissors to help cut them which is nice. The pork dumplings tasted so fresh and juicy, I think they were my favorite thing I tried. I also devoured my whole order of sweet and sour cucumbers. Other reviews have also discussed the LACK of service. Basically you order off a QR code and don't see a waiter until your food comes around. Difficult to get anyone's attention if you have questions or need a water refills. The vibes are very much centered around take-out and fast service. I definitely plan to be back many times to try more menu items. The soups will be so nice to have with colder weather.
Located in a strip mall in a more discount section, the physical restaurant is okay, but not where you want to go for a dining experience. Many banquets are ripped and overall ambiance is lackluster. Staff could use some training on personal skills. I don't believe our waiters spoke more than ten words to us the entire visit. Upon arrival you find your own table, scan a QR code to get menu and place order. Once completed, a waiter dropped off waters without a word. Food arrived promptly and is the reason for going there. I like spice and was happy with the chilies and chili oil floating in my soup. Wife had a milder version and broth had great flavor. Soup dumplings were some of the best I've had recently; thin dough and good amount of broth. Food - 5 Ambiance & Service - 3 Therefor overall 4- rating
I've had this place bookmarked on instagram for awhile now, and finally with a friends push I went and am SO glad I did. This place is DEFINITELY worth all the hype it gets. The personalization of hand-pulled noodles is something I don't think you can find anywhere else nearby. They run on an online ordering system which is a little tricky, but besides that the service was pretty good and the food was DELICIOUS!! I mean look at this photo. You can taste the effort that goes into every dish. It was SO good. I cannot wait to go back.
I was really excited to try Mr Noodle as the reviews have been nothing short of amazing. I will say the noodles were the perfect texture but I was rather underwhelmed by the lack of flavor in all my dishes. We started with the dumplings, chili oil dumplings and soup noodles. All of the appetizers came out at separate times. The chili oil noodles were very heavy on the oil but no heat, no real flavor to the sauce. Soup dumplings and regular steamed dumplings were tasty. Our mains came out and none of us could even finish our food. I had cold noodles with beef. The sauce was dry. My meal was pretty flavorless. Same with everyone else's meal. My sister got the beef noodle soup. My mother got a tomato based dish. Both, again, flavorless. Our service was also very slow and they were not very attentive. Overall my experience at Mr Noodle was not the best but again, other reviews are amazing so maybe that was just a bad day.
Mr. Noodle lived up to the hype. The chicken lo mein was very savory and the noddles were perfectly bouncy. The braised beef noodle soup was good but needed a richer flavor, it was a bit more watery than expected, but the chili oil and vinegar helped. The kung pao chicken was good, but the real highlight was the steamed soup dumplings! The wrapper was perfectly thin and the filleting was well seasoned. The service is iffy. They never gave us our steamed pork bao nor our spring rolls, and dismissed us when we tried to ask about it.

Came in for lunch on a weekday and they were dead, this was around noon. They quickly greeted me and showed me how to order, which is via QR code on the table. The interesting thing about placing the order is that you also pay when the order is placed, then they bring the food out when it's made. They were helpful in explaining to me how to modify a dish and they also gave great recommendations, as well as kept up with my liking of the food and experience while I was there. I ordered their red oil wontons and their cumin lamb noodles, but I subbed the lamb for beef. This came out before the wontons and it looked and smelled great! The beef was very tender, so were the amazing noodles! The spices were so tasty and offered a decent kick, but not too hot. I love stir-fried onions in dishes like this and these were so good that I tried to enjoy one piece with each bite of noodle and beef. The red oil wontons were incredible! The flavor of the oil was perfect! Exactly what it should be and it offered a very nice kick of heat too! This was one of the best wontons I've had in a long time! I'd definitely like to go back and try their soup dumplings. Overall this was a great experience into non-American Chinese food, one that everyone who enjoys American Chinese food should try! read more

Chao Tian Fu may be gone, but the staff has pivoted to hand pulled noodles which is a fantastic addition to the dire Asian food scene in RVA. The menu has a great selection of soups, stir fries and noodles. I've had the braised beef hand pulled noodles, kung pao chicken, pumpkin steamed buns and various dumplings. All are very tasty. Getting seated and ordering are straight forward as you just scan your barcode at the table and pay directly on your phone. The service here is hit or miss as it does get busy and orders get lost in the whirlwind of meal service so you might have to flag down the server to get all the items you've ordered. +1 Vibe +1 Taste +1 Presentation +0 Service +1 Value read more

The space is quaint and cute. The vibe is much less Richmond and slightly more Chinatown and I love that for us. I like that we've now got an authentic noodle spot that prioritizes quality, handmade noodles for the dim sum lover. I had the veggie stir fry noodles to-go but I'm super excited to head back for the beef clear noodle soup & dim sum!! The service for my carry out order was efficient and my noodles still had the perfect bite by the time I got home! read more

Wowwww, this food was so mf good!!! Party in my mouth! I ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry and I really enjoyed it. It has a little kick to it and definitely helped in clearing up my sinuses lol. I love that they put a good serving of veggies with the meal. I also got the spring rolls and they were really good too; perfectly cooked! My service was great and the place was clean. The prices are also affordable IMO. I'll definitely be coming back VERY soon. read more
My bestie and I had a great time at Mr. Noodle after an afternoon of thrifting. We were excited to learn about the renovated/rebranded spot. We decided to do family style since we love trying as many things as possible. My only note is that they make the noodles super long here, so it's really hard to share dishes if you dine-in since you don't get scissors or knives to cut them. You can order at one of their kiosks or through a QR code. If you scan the same QR code, you're put on the same tab and table. We ordered the braised beef noodle soup, chicken vegetable stir-fried noodles, and steamed soup dumplings. We loved that there was a tomato noodle dish so we were super excited to try the stir-fried noodles. They were really tasty. I found myself wishing the beef noodle soup had a richer flavor or more flavorful broth. The beef in it was delicious and I liked the noodles. You can never go wrong with soup dumplings. I really enjoyed them. I'm excited to return to try other things on the menu. read more

Quaint noodles restaurant in West end of Henrico. Great music playing the whole time. Staff is helpful when describing the spice level of the dishes. The noodle master can be seen manipulating the dough into the different noodles needed for each order. Good space for small to midsized groups of 2 - 8 with tables, booths and Hightower seating. If you're looking to experience some of the best tasting authentic Asian noodle cuisine in the Henrico are of RVA, bless your taste buds with a visit to Mr. Noodle! You can order yourself at the kiosk or from a server. They were a little timid but nice. It's a very laidback vibe inside with booth, high top and table seating. We ordered a few things to try. The red oil wontons 10 out of 10! Beef vegetable stir fried noodles 10 out of 10! Soup dumplings 10 out of 10! Char she bun aka BBQ pork bun 10 out of 10 too! Taste is relative to the individual but it was all delicious to us! The Asian peach tea was refreshing end! Go check it out y'all! read more
Yummy braised beef noodle soup tastes like Taiwanese beef noodle soup though I wanted more Bok Choi but I didn't care as I didn't finish it as it was huge. The soup dumplings actually had soup in them! So pleasantly surprised! Hubby was so happy with his spicy beef soup that he smiled from ear to ear. Service was so fast and our broths were completely different. I tasted his with great trepidation and knew it was too spicy for me when his face had turned a certain shade of violet. The servers could be more welcoming though because we didn't feel the ambiance was warm and inviting but cold and the opposite; and I am Asian though I don't speak the language. read more
Chicken fried noodles, don't you ever change. Perfect dish that was tasty, flavorful and fresh. Didn't need any spice or extra condiments. We also got the spicy beef noodles - extremely fresh ingredients, but the flavor is mostly Szechuan with no other broth flavor. Wanted the broth to be more beefy and flavorful, but it just tasted like Szechuan broth. We really enjoyed the red chili wontons - we added soy and about a tablespoon of vinegar and it was great. You order on your phone by a QR code and they'll bring the food out. They do bring out water to you once you find your own seat. I would like it to be sit in and order from the waiter establishment. Regardless, the employees are amazing and kind as they must bring your food and clean up the tables. read more

There are a few hand pulled noodle spots in Virginia Beach and NOVA that I would consider to be my favorite of all time, so I was excited to see that a similar place would be opening just down the street. I tried the braised beef noodle soup and the lamp stir fried noodles to get a good idea of the range of their offerings, and I found the flavor to be pretty good. The braised beef soup had a nice stock, but was lacking in the awesome depth of flavor that comes if they perhaps used a fattier meat. The stir fried noodles were delicious taste wise, but the meat was overcooked and too tough. If you like al dente noodles, then Mr. Noodle is for you. I am not sure if this was a one off thing, but the hand pulled noodles are quite a bit narrower and tougher than in my experience. Bonus content: the soup dumplings are pretty good-- I would love to come back to see how their dim sum options measure up to others in the area. read more
Came to Mr. Noodle for lunch with a friend. It's a cute little self service spot. You order and pay on your phone, it was a little confusing at first especially if you have separate orders. The food came out very quickly. I ordered two different types of dumplings the steamed soup dumplings and the chili oil wontons. Both were really great, I thought the chili oil wontons could be spicier but over all they were great. The soup dumplings were amazing, best part of the meal. For my main I got the spicy beef noodles. You can choose what noodle style you want, I chose the regular. Again I thought they would be spicier but they were still very good. The food here is truly incredible and is authentic Chinese cuisine! The noodles are hand-pulled fresh every day, and you can tell the quality and craftsmanship that is dedicated to the dishes here! We got the braised beef noodle soup, which had such a flavorful broth and delicious melt-in-your-mouth braised beef! We also got the scallion pancake and the red oil wonton, which was so fantastic as well! I highly recommend trying this spot for authentic Chinese cuisine in Richmond! read more
Mr. Noodle fills the hand drawn noodles and soup dumpling void in Richmond. The noodles were the perfect chewy and bouncy texture. The broths in the various noodle soups we had were flavorful and not heavy. The stir-fried noodles had a sweet and sour type of flavor. The soup dumplings were delicate and will satisfy cravings, though they could use a tad more flavor. The other dumplings we had were very good. All the entree portions were large and could definitely be shared. The entrees could use more meat. It's a casual spot with a mix of booths and high top seating for large groups. You can order at the counter or by scanning a QR code at the table. The service wasn't the best but they tried to help and accommodate our requests. read more

What a gem to have here in Richmond. We started off with the pan-fried buns which are a MUST. Apparently my friend tried getting them last time, but they were sold out which speaks volumes in itself. I got the spicy beef noodle soup, and my friends got the specialty beef rib noodle soup, assorted meat fried noodles, and vegetable stir-fried noodles. I personally love the wide noodles with the fried dishes. The noodle quality in general was fantastic. The only gripe I had was the ordering process. You order through a QR code for the table, and you all have to pay and order in sequence in order for it to work. It was just less intuitive than expected. However, it won't stop me from ordering from here again! read more
Finally tried hand pulled noodles and weren't disappointed. Delicious food! Everything we had (photos below) was so flavorful and perfectly cooked! The soup dumplings were amazing, juicy, perfect amount of dough. Very quick service too! Definitely will be back and recommend! read more

Hell No for Mr. Noodle! My son ordered the beef noodle soup and the broth was infested with flying insects. We were all pretty much enjoying our meal until he paused between bites and saw the bugs. We called one of the servers who were grouped at the register and let him know we wanted an immediate refund. He made his way back to us with the refund, no apology, no explanation. Nothing! He didn't even go back to let the kitchen know. Based on my analysis, the beef broth is tainted and should have been thrown out. We stopped a couple before they ordered and informed them of what we experienced. They walked out and so did we. Dine here at your own risk. Not sure where the insects came from but look for yourself. We don't know how many he consumed before he noticed them either. He became sick when we got to the parking lot. This is being forwarded to the health department, too. WTH read more
Good noodle place, it's the second time i've been here and service can be a bit slow. On the online ordering it can be hard to tell if your order went through or not too. When the soup comes it's never truly hot hot it's more like warm and the meat has more fat than other places i've been to that sell the same. The broth and noodles are still very good though! It will fill your craving for spicy noodles if you have that! Seating gets difficult because the place is so popular! read more
The food was tasty considering how Asian cuisine seems to finally be popping up in Richmond. The price is definitely higher than what I expected. You order from a QR code on the table, so you don't really experience any "service." It's a pretty small restaurant, so expect to wait for a table while the restaurant is still new. read more
The food was great, with a good broth for the braised beef noodles, which was amazing. The service was good, and I was assured that I would be able to handle the level of spiciness of the various dishes. The restaurant was bright, and it was very neat. The group I was with, we sat at a high table and were able to have a conversation along with slipring of our various dishes without issues or interrupting anyone else's conversation. Several styles of music were lightly played, starting with K-pop, then J-pop, and finally city pop. Loved the area, and I look forward to trying other dishes. read more
