Though I'm skeptical of franchise restaurants, we wanted to try Mr. Pickles for lunch. We got the Reuben and Baja Cheesesteak sandwiches. The marbled rye and wheat rolls used were perfect for the sandwich, not too tough but not too mushy. The Reuben was excellent and was told it was the best in Paso! Mr. Pickle's makes one damn good sandwich or shall we say sandwiches. After a serious morning of wine tasting our innervoice called out "Donger need food". We happen to remember a Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop was just a couple miles from where we were, plug it into Waze and away we go! With a swagger and a saunter we make our way to the counter to order. I order the Listen Linda on a soft white roll. My wife orders the half of Italian on sourdough bread. We both get the works minus onion and also include the chips and drink (also comes with a cookie). Sandwiches are big and oh so good. The Listen Linda comes with turkey, swiss, bacon and avocado + a shitload of vegetables. The Italian is salami, pastrami, ham, provolone, Italian dressing and a shitload of vegetables. No complaints, just a lot of num num this is good. Service is outstanding, price is on point and flavor is off the charts. We have been to several Mr Pickle's and have to say this is the best store we have visited. We visit Paso often to wine taste and this will continue to be our go-to stop for lunch. When hungry, remember the famous words from Long Duk Dong: "no more yankie my wankie, Donger need food" and head on over to Mr Pickles Sandwich Shop. read more

The food was good. I had the meatball sandwich and my wife had the Mr. pickle. The only reason I gave this the three is due to the 15 minute wait I had in picking up my sandwich that I pre-ordered. They were a few parties that came in and ordered and got their food before I did. I mentioned it to the front person and was told that they were getting to it and still had to wait. I was told that online orders were put behind live ordering. I suggest that any one ordering come to the shop and order in person. PS they had five people behind the counter. read more

I have always wanted to stop here because I was told they make really good sandwiches. They weren't wrong! I got the Listen Linda as a regular and it was actually so big that I had half for dinner that night. It had the perfect balance of flavor. I had a good experience with Mr Pickles a couple days ago. I ordered a BLT and it was pretty okay, but for me the bacon was a bit fatty for me, I'm more into a total cooked crispy bacon strip, but not sure if I could of ordered the bacon fried a bit more, plus I should of asked for more mayo. But the 5 star is mainly for the customer service. The crew greeted me happily and took my order with enthusiasm. I did buy a bag of chips but I found that the chips were stale even though they had a good date on them. I went back into the restaurant to tell the store to tell their vendor that the Maui Onion chips were stale. The Associate said go ahead and grab another bag, and his co-associate did say that the Maui onion chips had some customer complaints about the staleness. So I grabbed another bag but not the Maui onion chips and merrily took it home with me. Next time I go in I will stick to my Hot T Sandwich. read more

When we opened the door there were seven employees behind the counter, it was a busy day, not one of the seven had a mask on. I hope the employer knows if even one of the seven gets Covid they will all be quarantined for 14 days.
