Had a small snack. Ordered 2 beef sticks, 1 lamb stick, cauliflower, and strawberry smoothie. Just right for a small meal. Price is fair. Smoothie is cold and has a little flavour.

The restaurant was not very packed at the time I went. The menu was easy to follow. Everything tasted good. They have a mix of vegetables and protein to order from. In addition, the restaurant provides siracha and spicy powder on the side. Definitely coming back for the fast and convenient snack!

Ahh skewers how you've stayed the same high quality over all these years amazes me. I used to come here when I was in college and get late night skewers and they always hit the spot! My usual is always chicken wing, lamb, Chiba tofu, and the bacon with mushroom. Soo good and you can ask them to make it spicy if you like that. They have outdoor dining now but I had mine as takeout. I used to come in here and eat and drink some herbal tea as well to balance out my late night haha. Definitely get skewers here if you're in 8th Ave!

I can't believe I forgot to review this place! I've been coming here since late college, way too many years ago. Go to Mr. Q's if you are a fan of: good skewers, good noodles and a good casual environment! Hands down the best deals are the chicken wings. You won't find fresher cooked, larger or juicier chicken wings in the area. Next, sate your curiosity by order random parts of animals and vegetable combinations. While weird, you are aksmot guaranteed a tasty treat. Fancy some frog legs? I'll keep coming back for sure. :)

This place will never disappoint you. I come here at least once a month with my friends or my girlfriend, the boss lady is very nice. The food is ALWAYS hot and delicious, and they serve very fast too. I always leave a generous tip whenever I go here

My new go-to place for skewers! I was craving for skewers and my usual spot wasn't there due to the weather. I went on Yelp and found this place close by to the train station. This place is really small and it is very dark inside. I actually wasn't expecting much but when I got home, I was very satisfied with what I got. The bacon wrapped asparagus is definitely my personal favorite! The beef ribs and chicken was also very good. I also ordered a beef stick but the meat was very tough and dry. Definitely will be coming back to try the other stuff on the menu!

This is my fav late night snack spot! The French fries are soooo good they taste better than McDonalds. My usual go to order is the rice cake, chives, cabbage, chicken, sausage and this new bread thing that i forgot what it's called (I have a picture included!). I don't really like the beef sticks, they are a bit dry.

First picture is the Takoyaki 6Pcs from this store 10 month ago. And second picture is the Takoyaki 5pcs I just got. Missing piece, find!!!, but this BURN, AMAZING. Where are the sauce and bonito flake. Look more like some burn fish ball that my dog won't eat. I know we still in the middle of pandemic but this kind of quality, INTERESTING . And I'm still wondering how the person who did this can even give this to the customer, my eye . Did he/her think the customer are blind?.

Best spot in the area for late night snacks and drinks! The menu has a large selection of meat/vegetable/seafood skewers for $2-$4 each. Beer is also only $3. My two favorite menu items are the Salt & Pepper Squid appetizer and the Bacon Mushroom - both are seasoned perfectly every time and are a must-try! However, be aware that they will make everything spicy unless you tell them beforehand. They have chili powder on the side so you can always request no spice and then add it yourself.

it's so dark, i can barely see what i'm eating.... but i don't care cause it all tastes goooood.

Skewer heaven. Great little spot for some indoor late night skewers. There's a good variety on the menu, enough vegetarian options as well. If language is a barrier, just point and be ready to tell them spicy or non spicy, to go or dine in. Seat yourself. Definitely a no tipping, grab your own drink from the fridge establishment. The wait on the food varies on how many orders they're waiting on, because the kitchen is only so big. Oh yeah, CASH ONLY for sure.

If you are looking for late night snacks, this is the perfect spot. Once it goes dark, barely anything is still open in 8ave. But, Mr.Q's is open until 2am. Mr.Q's is best known for selling skewers. They sell vegetables, meats, and seafood on skewers at a fair price. My favorite were the bacon mushroom and squid tentacle skewers. It's a cozy restaurant. Inside, there are around 6 picnic tables for seating. I came around 9pm and all the tables were taken. Walked around and came back after 10min and was able to be seated immediately. Cash only! Service is good and food comes out fairly quickly.

I ordered a delivery near midnight to find a shrimp shell in the fried banana I ordered. WHAT AN UNSANITARY PLACE!!! I'm wondering how the hell does a shrimp shell end up inside a fried banana? I'm really disappointed, this place has become trashy through these years. If you guys want some better bbq, the place on 53st is honestly way better!

Great skewers at a decent price. Comes at a decent speed unlike the other location. The space is a little tight but that's okay!

The star of the show were the sides though - the mac and cheese had a bit of spice to it and was slightly tomato based, and the mashed potato salad I LITERALLY wrote home about and told my mom and my aunt immediately, some of the best I've ever had. We decided to take the Ikea ferry over and grab some bbq in person. The line was long and we waited for about 45 minutes or more. Basically there's just two guys working the meat station and people seem to wait until it's their turn to make a decision on what to order. We for the pastrami bacon strip, the wings, the Frito pie, brisket, mac and cheese, and potato salad. It was pretty reasonably priced and the food rust we couldn't immediately pick up, came to us relatively quickly. There's no shortage of seats and you have many options of picnic tables or bars. I would say the food is overall decent. The brisket could be more moist. The wings were meaty but a bit bland without the ranch. The Frito pie was probably my favorite out of everything. Overall a fun experience. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon with a free ferry ride to Red Hook.

We got the hotpot and skewers combo and the experience was quite nice and different. We ordered the soup base for hotpot with the workers and the skewers as well. All the hotpot items are in the fridge in the back along with the drinks which is also included in the price (all you can drink). We ordered skewers and whatever offerings that came with this option and then went to get stuff for hotpot. I think they have a good enough variety and the fun part is to put the sticks in the hotpot and eat off of it as well. WIth the skewers options, I think each person gets a scallop with vermicelli but we didnt know and we asked for seconds (whooops). the lady was nice enough to give it to us anyway. The workers are super attentive and very helpful. As for drink options, they have a variety of sodas, wong lo jie, fruity drinks. I was def happy even though I tried not to drink too much. They also have "snacks" on the back side by the drink fridge that you can help yourself to. Will definitely be back to try the grilll fish option!

While it's a pricier meal, all the food that you get is well worth it. I really loved how many different kind of meat, seafood, veggies, and more that they have. The fact that it's all on skewers makes cooking and eating easy. It's truly such a wonderful dining experience. We came with a large party of 11 and we were more than satisfied. Everything was delicious and I love how easy it is to get more skewers on your own. They also have a large selection of drinks from soy milk to herbal teas. In the end, you also get ice cream although the flavors are pretty basic here. Note that if you pay in cash, you get free durian, which is nice and creamy.
