Called ahead got a different answer he quoted me like a 50 bucks then when I get there he he quoted it was like $90 so there was a 40 dollar difference just from me calling the first time and then me coming at me actually coming into the store this guy actually rip me off I like another like 30 bucks you know from what I got from other stores I thought I was getting a good deal since it was cheaper but when I actually want inside is actually more I don't recommend this guy for his services to anybody else just a big rip off read more

I brought my car here because my wife had her car tinted previously and on her new car. I really hadn't considered it because my car came with factory tint on the back and side passenger windows. I just had my 2015 Honda Civic tinted here yesterday after my stepdad had his done here too a few weeks back. It's hasn't even been 24 hours but I'm really happy with the results and at how fast it was done. Ray took less than an hour to do a great job and was very friendly. I also live in Dana Point now and was going to be about an hour late to my 1pm appointment due to traffic on the 4th of July weekend. Stopped by today to get an estimate. I walked up to the garage part of the business and said hi to the guy working. He immediately tells me in a terse way that if I go inside the office he would help me. I said ok. Went in the office and he got behind the counter. I told him I needed an estimate on a car like the one I drive and he quipped everything is $200. I said ok. I started asking him about the different tints and he showed no interest in engaging me in conversation about it. It was really weird. I sensed this was not going to continue well so I told him that I thought he really didn't want my business. I was ready to lay down $200 for the work and this guy has an attitude problem. Get some customer service training. Mr. Tint? More like Mr. Taint. Went across town to California Tint and spent $175 for the same job and was treated very well. read more

Went in for window tinting, paid for the best product available. When I went to pick up my car it was full of bubbles and terribly installed. I complained and was told to give it time to "cure" and that the air bubbles would disappear. 10 months into the install bubbles are still noticeable, and the edges are terribly installed. It doesn't look like a $500 job done by a professional, but rather a crappy DIY tint job. read more

We've used Mr. Tint's services three times now and have been nothing but SUPER PLEASED with their overall service! Their prices are also very reasonable considering we've priced a number of places before selecting Mr. Tint's. They are courteous and punctual...when they provide an estimated time for pick-up they are very accurate. We've gone back once before to replace the tint on a 2005 vehicle after the back windows bubbled due to aging. It was replaced hassle free since it has a lifetime warranty. Don't know how other folks see Ray at Mr. Tint, but let me tell you my experience. My front windshield had a crack about 10" long since December. I had delayed getting it replaced as I had an expensive Blue Rae 80 UV tint installed. The manufacturer recommended Ray/Mr. Tint in San Diego, and I'm glad I called. Not only did Ray turn me on to a windshield replacement vendor that was 50% less than I expected, but he recommend that they bring the new glass direct to his shop so he could install PRIOR to installing it into my car. THAT"S NOT ALL! The windshield installed came by and dropped it into the car (Prius '13) which was a surprise as I hadn't PAID for the tint. Apparently Ray was so busy he went ahead and installed and trusted me to pay him later! That's some kind of customer service! I've never had this type of relationship with a mechanic before. My experience tells me this is a good guy. I'll return with more business, and recommend him to my friends. read more

Called on a Saturday and they were able to get me right in. The job was done in an hour and a half and looked great!!! It was the best price I found after calling a few other places. There were some cheaper ones but they only offered a 1 year warrenty so you'd probably spend more fixing it the second time around. Awesome service. Recommend to anyone read more

But the guy was very helpful and patient with me and got me an appointment very quickly and was flexible everytime I had to change it. Very professional guy. Once I got in there he was very fast with the job. He said about an hour and it took about an hour. As I had to come on my lunchbreak I really appreciated that. We have had 3 cars done at Mr. Tint Escondido. They also have a Vista office. The first car we had done was in 2006, when we traded the car for a new one the tint was still perfect and it looked like it did 5 years ago. In March 2011 I took our new BMW in for tinting. Again, the tint is perfect, we got the 35% Pinnacle which is the most expensive and the very best. I also took in our 18 year old car and had a less expensive version applied and it looks just as good. All of there product has a lifetime warranty across the US. This is important since we do move around. When I called to make my recent appointments they were able to get me in same day. I was able to wait in their waiting room and did not have to leave the cars overnight. I loved that! These guys are proven experts and provided a fast and beautiful tint. For a very busy Mom like myself I like professionalism and reliable work which is what I get at Mr. Tint. read more
