Monroe rd location in Charlotte NC. Went in for a n c state inspection and was told that I did not pass because my tires were older than 5 years old. I have never been told this before and this is the fifth car that I have owned and had inspected every year. When I asked the manager and the worker to show me the law it did not state five years was an automatic fail. It stated that the tread or something had to be wrong with the tire. The worker showed me on his phone this law and when he realized that he was wrong he came back and said there was something wrong with the tread on my tire. I know he was lying because this is a tire place. If there was something wrong with my tire that would have been the first thing that he would have pointed out. Oh and then they tried to say that I did not pass the inspection because of my windshield wipers. When I arrived I asked the cashier how much were their windshield wipers. I guess they thought they could try to add that on to my items that I needed also. This place is a rip off! And the law book he showed me was from year 2002. Which is 25 years old. I will never go there again for anything because they are obviously trying to cheat the customer. I knew something was wrong when the technician was poking my tire with a device. To me that was an indication that they were trying to do something to my tire so that I would have to buy a new one. I drive this car less than 2,000 miles a year so there is nothing wrong with the tread on my tires. I just had my tires checked two weeks ago. This place is a rip off. Just had a great experience here. Called and they answered and were happy to get me in on short notice. Showed up and they were able to not only patch my tire but they replaced it with the donut I had put on, and put it back in the trunk for me for no added cost. All of this for very very cheap and quickly, and they (Steve/Steven and Jacob I think) were super nice. Definitely plan to use them for services and any other issues in the future! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I called Mr. Tire multiple times (5) to order a tire, and not only was the voicemail full, but when I finally got through, I was met with nothing but rudeness. The employee, Alin, was short, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him just by asking basic questions. He even insisted I come into the store just to place an order, which is completely unnecessary especially on a bad tire! This isn't my first bad experience with this location, and I even went to another store in the past just to avoid the terrible customer service. But clearly, nothing has changed. As a woman, it can be difficult to find a mechanic who you can trust. They put my brakes on BACKWARD! Yes backward - front brakes for a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 They put my brakes on backward and forgot the safety pin. I almost wrecked and my car was damaged - When I took it to another store nearby where the accident occurred to have it fixed and when I returned to the store they refused to replace the parts that were damaged/missing or fix the alignment. I had an odd experience here. They were helpful but left me having to go to another shop. They did not have the TPMS tool which has been standard since 2007. Most shops have two on had all the time. The Mr Tire I went to in South West VA was so confused why this shop I went to in Charlotte didn't have one. In CLT they helped me so I could leave, but felt like I got taken advantage of (take that w grain of salt) since they did not have this scanner, I did not know that 2/4 of the sensors in my car were dead. Good afternoon, I feel fully violated upon my daughter having a repair at your Newton, NC location and will NEVER go or recommend them ever. They are fully unethical and took advantage of her. She had to have her front stabilizer links replaced which they state were $139.88ea. The exact same part number sells for $37ea every where I look. The dealer charges only $43ea and Autozone only charges $32ea. They also charged her a $99 computer diag fee which was not even performed as the part replaced has no computer interface and on top of that charged her $350 labor for all of 30 minutes it took to install these parts. The entire service time was less than 2hrs out the door and included a wheel alignment. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I am well aware of the cost of these repairs as I am an ASC tech of over 30yrs but can not do the work any longer due to a neck injury. I hope your company executives have very little sleep tonight after reading this email. $625 for this work is an abomination and is 100% predatory!!! When I called their support line they were as bad as the store and admitted they mark parts up 150% above MSRP! Well, They marked it up a whole lot more than that as they list full retail for $37! Only reason this isn't one star is because at least they do an okay job once you get your car back. Out of the handful of times I've been there, it has taken over 6 hours to do an oil change each time. Regardless whether or not I had an appointment. I've even sat in the lobby for three hours one time waiting, even though I had an appointment. This most recent oil change was $95 (steep for a Titan) was supposed to include a complimentary tire rotation, but could easily tell they were not. A very friendly and helpful gentleman tried fixing the pressure and then found out that the tire actually needed a replacement and told us that it was best to take the car back to the rental place. Although they closed in under 30 minutes he still told me to come in and was able to get me in and out in 15 minutes. I went in there last minute as I was visiting Charlotte and needed service immediately I took my car there and at first they were being very nice and come to find out. They said I needed my strut, my ti rod my control arm fixed in my car and I was wanting to get it towed home to get it fixed but they said for them to even check it out it was going to be $1700 so I kept it there because I didn't want to pay $1700 just to look at it but if they said, I kept it there and let them fix it. It would just be $3000 total. I am a 20-year-old woman and they fixed it for me in about 4 to 5 days which was great but whenever I drove back to Charlotte to pick it up, it still sounded funny but I thought it was just a permanent issue from the minor wreck. I got in, so I took it home. Drove it for about three days realized that there was still an issue, so I called and they told me to bring it back up and they would fix the problem. I got there as soon as they opened and sat there all day an hour until they were about to close it and they told me that my CV axle all of a sudden blew and that they would have to keep it for another couple days because they couldn't get the parts in so I'll leave my car there and then I come back get my car a couple days later in my car still sounds the same but I thought it was just a permanent issue so I left it alone because I trusted them that nothing else was wrong with my car so about three months later my car is still sounding the same and it's starting to get worse so I'll bring it to another shop where I'm from and they said the same CV axle that Mr. tire replaced was about to fall off!!!!!! and that all of the parts that they put in looked older than the parts that have never been fixed in my car!!!! please don't go here. Went there for a flat tire repair over the weekend. When I picked up my car the tire pressure monitoring system light was still on. I immediately brought it up to the technician before leaving. They stated I just had to drive it a little and the light would go off. I have driven the car for over an hour and it is still on two days later. I reached out to them over the phone again concerned. The person who answered the phone was incredibly rude and condescending and said I hadn't driven it long enough because I needed to go over 100 miles. I reached out to my Honda dealership which stated their claims were 100% false and they should have rebooted my system and clearly had not done this. This dog shit place, told me that they couldn't do a tire rotation because my truck has a 2inch leveling kit....I called 20 minutes in advance and asked if they were available in which they said they did. Upon arrival they refused to even take a look at my truck, they said " we're too busy to do the tire rotation" so I mentioned how I called 20 minutes earlier. Their response was "We didn't know your truck was squatted, so we can't do a tire rotation." My truck has a 2 inch leveling kit. Therefore, leveled not squatted at all. All the people that work there are lazy fucking people that hate to see someone that's doing better than they are. read more

Took my car in for oil change, because it's closer to us and it's got a sign out there advertised oil change $19.99... instead, $19.99 is only for "basic" cars, my Toyota RAV4 will be $69.99. My Toyota dealer only charged me $60 for the previous oil change. We left and came home and download a coupon from Precision Tune for $39.99. What a waste of time to go to Mr. Tire. read more

I took 2 cars in for oil change and tire rotations. Both left with empty windshield wiper fluid holders and low tire pressures. After the first one I specifically asked that they check certain things when I went in with the second one. The second car didn't have windshield fluid and had low tire pressures too. When I brought it up they said their tire pressure gauge probably needed batteries and calibration. The quotes given to me for other work like replacing the tire pressure monitors in the tires and replacing differential fluids were significantly more expensive than others, like a dealer. Also, I wanted regular oil put in one of the cars and was told their computer system would only allow them to sell synthetic oil for that car (a Subaru). So it went from a $40ish oil change to an $88 oil change because their computer system forces them to do it that way. Really! After the first car I thought I'd give it a try with another car, to give them the benefit of the doubt. They failed 2 times in a row. read more
