My husband's truck was towed to the Eldersburg location. The tow truck driver, unfortunately, dropped the truck off in the parking lot, making it hard for the mechanics to push into the bays. Instead of suggesting we reach out to the tow company come back out and move in front of the bays, Mr. Tire's only solution was to pay an $200+ extra in order for his guys to move the truck into the work area. Mind you- the truck wasn't starting because the starter was bad...the same starter this Mr. Tire just replaced six months ago. Mr. Tire's offered no resolution, lied, and said they did offer my husband the option to have it towed in front of the bays. When speaking directly to the tow truck driver, he stated he tows vehicles often to this Mr. Tore location, and he's been told not to leave vehicles in front of the bays. One- I feel this should be a fee worked out between the towing company and Mr Tire, not an expense placed on the customer. Two- since this is because of Mr. Tire's faulty part/work to start, we should not have to pay for any parts or labor in general for this repair. Terrible service. Rude employees! read more

I came in to get one tire balanced via the Roadforce balancer. Alex showed me how another local shop had incorrectly balanced all the tires and that I did not need roadforce. He corrected the other issues and pointed out that one tire was bad. They are honest and skilled folks, and I will be using them in the future. read more

I've been to this location before, and was grateful for what seemed reasonable prices and friendly, respectful service. Unfortunately - not today. I have a Mini Cooper that needed lightbulbs replaced. When they quoted me $200 because "it would take an hour to dissassemble the light casings" I asked a lot of questions but finally agreed. Then they came back and told me the lightbulbs I brought in were the wrong kind. Ok. Then they told me the replacement bulb (one bulb) would be $150 - but they could have it here in 5 minutes. At that point I walked away. I just googled the part they said I needed, and it was $60 for a pair. Sadly I will not be back and am very irritated to have my time wasted, and for someone to assume I'm stupid enough to spend $350 for lightbulbs at Mr. Tire. Just because I am a woman does not mean I don't have sense - I'm the 'handyman' for our household and can do all sorts of repairs (plumbing, electrical). I'm sad that I won't be back, because we always want to support a local business. They tried to scam the wrong girl this morning. Buyer beware. read more

I have been here twice for tire repair. Three times for a courtesy tire air check (two of those in the rain) and today for an oil change. On all occasions the gentlemen there were courteous, patient and extremely helpful. I am confused about the three star rating unless they are rating the business based on the condition of the waiting area. That would definitely be rated a minus 3, but whatever. I don't see why people are complaining about the modified hours during a global pandemic. This shop risked the health and welfare of it's employees, just to stay open and keep people on the road. People should be more appreciative. I go there all the time, and the modified hours are correct on the Mr. Tire website, as well as taped on the front door. One of the reviewers here must not have noticed it on the door, and he posted a pic of the hours from Yelp, not the store website. These are the hours of operation. I was the only one there but he mentioned he only had one guy working and they don't even open till 9:30. I said okay, the signs on your door and the website say you open at 9am so you should have some time.. I was half joking.... He said "well they never told me they changed the hours". I had had a series of road hazard punctures and bought all new tires some years back, I have very low milage already, but really needed someone to put the correct tire pressure for me, and an oil change. I had an appointment and gave the Clerck my name, and he asked if it was an oil change and I said yes and a tire rotation. He was a bit condescending when I told him we live across the way and are going home to wait, he just reiterated 'I"ll call you" again. After picking up the car On the way home Of corse my oil life was displayed on the console at 100%, but they never checked the tire pressure so now I have to do it myself. Also someone had fiddled with the lights and I unknowingly went out into traffic at night without running or tail lights and someone pulled up beside me and let me know. I know that is my responsibility, they may had been trying to keep the lights off or something because they were on automatic before I dropped it off. You know now I am suspicious if any work was done at all. When I went to pick it up the clerk just handed me my key. I stood there until he printed my receipt and he didn't go over it with me. I went to Mr. Tire Eldersburg for breaks. They said the back breaks were fine but replaced the front. Within a week the caliper on the rear break was broken and the pads on the other side weren't making contact. Seriously? They touch my car and suddenly everything is shot? Some shops didn't answer and the ones who did answer had me on hold for over 15 minutes or were very rude to me. I called the eldersburg location and Mike told me to come on in. He was professional, polite, and accommodating. As I arrived I was greeted by mike with a smile, even while he waited on customers in front of me, he made eye contact with other customers who were waiting. My brother decided it would be wise to drive on a flat and completely destroyed his tire pressure sensor and his rim so we had it towed to the closest place which luckily was here. I bought a set of tires a week ago before winter. My low tire pressure light came on. I went to have this checked and corrected. I was told that they could not look at it because they were to busy. Then I was told I did not buy new pistons when the tires were changed so it's probably not their fault. I spent almost $800 at this place. I never had a problem with my tire pressure. I explained the problem and a mechanic took a drive with me. We returned and he got right to work on it. After just a few minutes, he came and showed me the problem and we were fixed and ready to go. Just spent over $1,500 on tires and other maintenance items at this store a couple of months ago, and now they can't fit me in for a simple oil change and tire rotation until next week? Done with this place. Free tire rotation or not, I'm going elsewhere. In addition, the last time that I was there, the service writer was extremely condescending. When I questioned a $100 charge to check/diagnose a "Service Engine Soon" light, he quipped, "we don't work for free, you know". I've had numerous problems here. First, despite the commercials, you will never get the price you see on their website, there is always $150 or more of extra fees and most times dealers have cheaper tires. Second, this particular place is very slow. Even with an appointment it took them 3 hours to replace 4 tires. One time I went there they had an issue with their balancer, which they didn't call me about until mid-afternoon (my appointment was 8am), forcing me to bring the car in the next day and lose 2 days with it. A second time I had them patch a tire not once, but twice. After the second patch, no more than two days later the tire pressure light was back on. So, $60 and 6 hours wasted on that. I've been to the Eldersburg Mr. Tire probably 8 times or more and have yet to have a satisfying experience. I'm not going back anymore. read more

This place sucks. Like everyone else on here they tried to rip me off. I got a screw in my tire and took it here for a patch. They told me they couldn't patch it because the tred was low and then tried to sell me a new set of rubber which for my ride would be close to $1000 or more. I went to BJ's wholesale club and they patched the tire for $20. I asked them about the tred life and they told me it wasn't a problem and that my tires had another 5-6k miles left on them before they would need to be replaced. It was a hassle and pissed me off because I wanted the tire fixed so I wouldn't have to risk having a flat on the side of the road. Because of the unethical conduct I had to drive 20 miles or so to the BJ's club with the screw in my tire. Just terrible. read more

Took my wifes car here for a nail in the tire. They fixed the leak but broke the tire pressure sensor. Four visits later it is still broke and their solution was to over pressure the tire not replace the sensor. They show a complete disdain for anything resembling customer service and should not be supported by our local community. read more

I would give negative stars if that were possible. For a tire place, they suck at tires. My car has two slightly different sizes of tires for the front and back, these "tire" experts put the two big tires on the passenger side, and the two smaller tires on the drivers side. This wasn't noticed until during an oil change the dealership noticed uneven tread wear. I called mr. Tire where the proceeded to blame me, then switched to blaming the dealership. I wasn't asking for a set of new tires, I was only asking for them to fix their mistake and replace the one badly damaged tire. They refused. All they would offer was a 20% discount on a full set....as if I would ever give them any more money or my trust as a consumer. I was a regular at the Columbia location but this location is horrible. Avoid them like the plague. The manager is very rude and does not honor friends and family discounts.He was so lazy that he did not want to verify the family member worked at the stated location to honor their discount policy. Instead he argued with me. When I spoke to him he seemed to not give a care that I was contacting the corporate office because of his rudeness. I email corporate and NEVER got a response. The manager's comment was the the friends and family discount was onlyu pennies difference in the regular cost of an oil change. I ran in here because I noticed that my tire was free-flowing air and I was losing tire pressure really fast. I walked right into friendly customer service and they asked me to pull up immediately and replaced a little pin that was crooked and was letting air out.
