First time here. Highly recommended making reservations for you to get a sitting area. The place overall was great, live music was great 10/10. We weren't able to try their food because the kitchen was closed by the time we wanted to order something. Great location. Loved the decoration too.

Bottle service was okay we ended up going to the bar most of the night but I like the concept that they were going for

Wow! I honestly had high expectations due to their social media but they fell short. Service was not the greatest. As soon as we got seated at a table mind you they asked us for a CC to get a table so my bf and I were expecting great service and great show. Unfortunately, that was just an illusion. But anyhow, as soon as we got seated it took several minutes for a server to come greet us and take our drinks order. When she finally came, she asked for our drinks and asked if we needed more time for any appetizers/bites so we thought okay she will drop our drinks and ask for our appetizers order. NEGATIVE! That didn't happened either. She stopped at our table maybe 40 mins after she took us our drinks. Super bad service. Now, let's move on to the piano show. I had made reservations for the 7p piano show, it didn't start till 7:30ish and it ended at 7:45p on the dot. Pianist said he would be going on break and coming back at 8:30p so technically the show only lasts about 15 mins. At the lobby there was a separate mini show going on which was an acrobat. That was more interesting than everything else. The IG for Mr. Wanderlust shows the burlesque show as well along with the piano but again that did not happened either. Drinks were not the best either. We've had better. Not driving all the way from Anaheim to this spot to get bad service. No thank you.

Excellent little bar located in Level 8 with a live music and a pretty chic vibe. The drinks here were amazing, ambiance was super cool and the live music was cool. Came here with a group, had a little table and the whole experience was enjoyable. Service was a bit slow, but expected as they were crowded.

Came in before dinner at Javier's around 8pm and it wasn't packed and we loved the pianist + the beautiful aerialist at the entrance. We came back after dinner around 10:30 and enjoyed the live band, the Gumbo Brothers. It was packed and everyone was enjoying the music. Two totally different vibes each time. Definitely a must to check out if you're visiting DTLA.

Porn star at Wanderlust very yummy.

We went here for our anniversary! Over our 30 something years of marriage and we've been all over LA. Had to try it out! Parking was $35, which is fine. It's so close to the arena, so I couldn't seem to find street parking. We sat down, ordered a few drinks and had a few appetizers. The food was fine, but they are very tiny portions. The whole environment felt like clubbing environment, and not dinner evening environment. It wasn't bad, just not expected. Service is "club type service"-again, not bad just not what we were expecting. We were expecting a Piano show. Oooo We waited about 30 minutes and then the person pianist rotated out, played three songs and then rotated back again. He was great!!! Had he played all night, I would've sat there and had a drink after drink after drink and we would've enjoyed the food all night long!!! We waited for 20 minutes patiently and he did not come out again. Bummer! So we ran off to the next adventure! We realized that we could wander around "level eight" and see what other clubs, bars, and things that they had. In all the years I've been posting on yelp, this is the first time I've had less than a five star rating. I'm not a picky person. The ambiance, location, and safety factor, as a lady were great! I also really liked my drink called the porn star. In theory I could wander around the eighth floor and go from club to club and enjoy each of the different ambiences. If I were a young clubbing person again, I would feel totally safe there. All in all, it was a nice place but not going back.

If I could give 1,000 stars, I would!! I had the most incredible experience at Mr. Wanderlust for my birthday. I tried making a reservation for a large party online and the general manager, Robert, reached out via text to assist. He explained that it's an $80 minimum per person for table service, which includes cocktails starting at $22 and a limited food menu. I was concerned about the food menu because it had really expensive items ($100 and up), seafood and salad. I asked if it would be possible to get some starchy foods like fries and pizza. Robert said he "can make that happen." As more people confirmed they were going, I updated Robert on the party size. He said, "the more, the merrier!" Soooo nice and accommodating! When we arrived, we were brought to a roped off section in the middle of the room with perfect view of the revolving piano player above the bar. Robert greeted me and introduced me to our server and chef. The chef explained that he was going to send out waves of small bites. I was so blown away by the food that came out! Rihanna inspired chicken nuggets topped with caviar!! It was actually really good and the caviar wasn't even that salty. Excellent quality. They also sent out towers of beef sliders, fries, chips, truffle pizza, cream puffs and sushi!! It was more than enough food for my party of 30 and everything was delicious! They even brought out a sweet birthday dessert for me. Our server also suggested we get bottle service so it's easier for everyone to help themselves to drinks right away. We got a bottle of Haku Vodka and some blanco tequila for about $400 each. When the bill approached the $80 minimum per person, the server let me know. I was really appreciative of that because by then, we were pretty much done and we just wanted to order a few extra drinks. The live entertainment was lots of fun, from the Lyra dancer in the lobby to the pianist that would appear from behind the bar with a dancer, to burlesque dancers and a live jazz band! My friends and I had such a blast! I would come back in a heartbeat!

I get to the front of the bar. The guy next to me gets the bartender's attention to help me. I order an IPA and a Casa Migos with soda water. He asks if my drinks were on the other guy's bill, we both said no. He then hands me a bill for $139.00. I argued that a beer and a drink does not cost that much and that he had put the other guy's drink on my tab. He argued and said that's what it costs for 2 drinks at Mr. Wanderlust. It was not. He said he will need a manager to overturn the incorrect bill. We asked the front and they informed us that they don't have a manager currently. We then asked if he can compensate and give us more drinks to match the bill he charged me. He said he couldn't and then told me to go get the other guy. I do. It turns out he charged the other guy for his drinks and then put the other guy's bill on mine as well. They charged us twice. He then says, it's not my problem, you guys work this out. We continued to argue and he finally agreed to give us our 3 drinks to match my overcharged bill. It took 6 people and about 1 hour of arguing to get compensation for his error.

I had a blast last night! We went to celebrate a friends birthday a party of around 10 people. We were aware the reservation didn't include a table, just the entry! We were able to get a table, but we were pretty tight even though we ordered 2 bottles. Pros: - Very unique place with beautiful stages and lights - Different ambiances - Taco truck!! (But closes earlier than the rest) - Great music - Performances were amazing! - Good vibes Cons: - Overpriced - Broken chairs (missing legs) so had to balance to use them - Very tight space for tables - A separate bouncer for the club and might have to wait to be stamped - Hard to get more water Overall we had a really good time dancing and exploring the different areas!

This place was mesmerizing to me. Stuff was awesome, and the ambiance was exactly what I wanted. It was dark inside but it was a great vibe!! The bartender was awesome and gave me great advice on what to drink. This is the second time i've been here, and i've have not been disappointed.

The drinks were okay, but the ambiance and the performance were great! The service was decent too, but it would be hard to have bad service at the bar seating haha.

    Are there gluten free desserts?

Is a reservation required or can you walk in?

I would make a reservation since they put you in a shorter line if you have one. However, the reservation just gets you into the bar. Doesn't get you an actual table

The type of bar you choose is important. But sometimes, the Bar Chooses You! Bar Magnolia quietly enters the chat. It was October 11th, 2025 and my wife & I just checked into Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. (EPIC REVIEW Coming Soon!!!) While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to check out the Hotel Bar Lounge... First thought, Color me Impressed! High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! So we plopped down onto their sofa, waited for a cocktail menu, and let the "we left the kids at home with Grandma; let's enjoy being kid-free for the night begin". $18.00 cocktails....Lets Goooo!! Looking back at the Photos, I can't exactly recall what we ordered... Was it a whiskey sour? Was it a paper plane?? Honestly, Who cares! They tasted great. I was sitting across from a beautiful woman. And we were responsibly adulting. What more could a guy ask for?? I'm glad you asked! After a long car ride in, sipping on water, then the first few sips of my cocktail, I suddenly had to go... Luckily, the restrooms are located just adjacent to the bar area and DAMN are they clean!! Hey, if a bar restroom is well taken care of, you know the place has Class.... And Bar Magnolia has the Class to Match! Of course, there is bar stool seating at the bar... Middle Man (Aka waiting for your server to come check back in) In addition to the bar top stools, there are also low top tables, and a few couch-chairs with a low top table for more intimate conversations. Besides those $18 craft cocktails, a short, well Curated list of bubbles, vino and draft beers are all up for grabs. Unfortunately, we had stopped to eat before we arrived (bad move on our part), but next time, and THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME, we will definitely partake in their food menu (cause damn, did it look GOOD!) So whether you are a guest of Hotel Figueroa, you are leaving the Crypto Arena after a concert and want to paint the town red, or you are simply just wanting to sit, relax and enjoy a nice cocktail at a classy, upscale, but not so pretentious Cocktail Lounge... Bar Magnolia is your place! Well, it's almost closing time, they are about to call for Last Call, so order us another round, bottoms up and Cheers to us!!!

I finally was able to check it off, thanks to a hotel offer with a dining credit. Dahlia is the gorgeous petite space behind the larger ground floor restaurant space now called Cabrillo (formerly Caldo Verde). Dahlia opened as a bespoke cocktail lounge, then began to offer tea. Now it's just tea. There are five 2-tops and two 4-top tables. All food and beverage venues at the Proper used to be under the auspices of famed chef Suzanne Goin and her business partner/sommelier Caroline Styne. They are no longer affiliated with the Proper, but many of their dishes/contributions remain. The last named vestige of them is on the tea menu, "Suzanne's Deviled-Egg Sandwich". The tea menu has several options: Classic, with a seasonal mocktail, or with different champagnes. I opted for the Classic experience, because the mocktail had mocha, not my fave. Server Lluvia was clearly a Dahlia veteran; she offered a tea-smelling of all the teas that interested me as well as crowd favourites. I ultimately chose one of these faves, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which had passionfruit and vanilla. I declined milk/cream, but did get lemon. There were rock sugar sticks on the table. It seems the selection of tea sandwiches and sweet treats changes every so often, although the vanilla bean scone, dried currant scone, Devonshire cream and apricot orange jam seem like constants. The sandwich selection at my visit were: cucumber, crab/creme fraiche, beet hummus on pita, smoked salmon and Suzanne's deviled egg. All were delish, the beet, crab and deviled egg especially. The sweet treats were: orange fig butter cookie, spiced apple brown butter crumble, cranberry frangipane hand pie, chocolate mocha macaron, pumpkin madeleine, plus the 2 scones. All were excellent. There were no leftovers. A bit pricey, but a relaxing and lovely experience. The room was not crowded when I visited, adding to the calmness of my visit.
