    10/10 would not recommend. Customer service was less than ideal. Poor communication, poor time, inconsiderate of customers time, and prices are higher than what a professional at a shop or business charges. I had to miss a day of work and was late to another appointment because of his lack of professionalism. Advised me to take an Uber to wherever I needed to go as if I would have left him at my home unattended. He had so many excuses. One which included he didn't have clean clothes and had to do laundry, which caused him to not show up until after 4 the following day. He banged around a lot on my vehicle when doing the work. Charged me $75 for a $20 part. He didn't have the proper tools to complete the job. Towards the end he claims to discover another problem that was not an issue before he started working on my car. Asked me if I had credit cards to buy the parts and that he could fix. I didn't feel comfortable nor safe to say anything. When it comes to pay I was charged more than necessary and he wouldn't put my car down off the lift until I paid. Plus as mother he told me my car is now not safe to drive and to be cautious of having passengers in my vehicle. Little did he know I had my tires previously changed and the issue he claimed to be pre-existing wasn't there. The banging he was doing caused the issue he claimed was already there. Request service at your own risk. Oh and I'm already anticipating his defensive response full of excuses. Added photo of his response to my review. Just shows his unprofessionalism. Added an additional photo of receipt he left behind for the part he charged me $75 for, it was actually $28.64 +tax. It only further proves the lack of integrity and character this individual holds. Not surprised by the mechanics response to my review in the least bit. I'm not sure what has led you to believe that I had a poor experience with my previous mechanic when my car wasn't having issues. Since you have attempted to repair my vehicle it drives worse than when I needed the rear brakes done. It makes sounds it didn't make before and one of the lug nuts was even loose, which I will add a picture of. In all the years I have had my car a lug but has never been loose. It does not surprise me that you have a tendency of blaming customers for your inadequacies and incompetence. You are a small business owner and I was referred by a friend. I do my best to support small businesses, especially when they are minority owned. However, on occasion you come across some that lack integrity and take advantage of people. I know my truth and my experience. The universe has a funny way of taking care of itself and I'm sure my experience isn't the only one. I hope you conduct better business moving forward and that others won't be made to spend more to fix issues that you have caused like myself. Next time I will go with my first mind by letting someone who is licensed and warranties their work fix my vehicle. Never again will I go this route. Happy holidays and hope the money you charged me for the issues you caused brightens your holiday season.

Been chasing…read morean issue with my vehicle starting for about a month now and finally had it down to the starter, which I can't replace myself (tools). Spoke to David's and they said they would replace the starter I had (O'Reilly's) but they wouldn't warranty the part. Expected and okay. Dropped the vehicle off about 9am. Given a quote for $231 for inspection, diagnostics and testing. Was told that it would be applied to any repairs. Was verbally quoted by Rich that the starter replacement may add a "couple of bucks" but would be close to the $231 and that the testing/diagnostic charge would apply. Was told it would be done by noon. At 12:30pm called to get a status, still in work. At 12:45pm I get an automated inspection report. At 1pm I call back to see if the starter had been replaced. Nope. Quote $760 for replacement using my part and $1050 to use theirs. Asked about the 300% increase from the initial price and after being put on hold for a while was told that the best they could do was $463. DOUBLE the original quote! Was also told that they "hoped" to get it done today. "Hope" is a little dubious after doubling/tripling a quote for no reason. They also made very clear that absolutely no warranty was included - including installation. When I asked if the starter fell off because they forgot to torque the bolts, "Nope, we wouldn't cover that. But we do things right around here." At 5pm I called to see if it was actually completed and it had been done but no one had decided to let me know. Overall, just a bunch of over promises, under delivery and dishonesty! Look elsewhere!

First of all it is ideally located so close to my house. Looked into some yelp reviews and thought I'd check them out. I brought my car in because it was making some awful noises and was not running as smoothly as it normally does. As soon as I came in Fernando was able to take my car for a test drive with me in it. He heard the sound just as I had described it to him and was able to explain the exact diagnosis and the cause of it. He was able to take my car in that very same day and get the part at a very affordable cost. This gentleman knows what he's doing and has been doing it for awhile. I will not trust anyone else with my car. Definitely check this place out!! It's absolutely a hidden gem in The Colony.

He didn't do any diagnostic work he just replaced the part I told him I thought was bad. So my wife took it back to her old stomping grounds to Fernando at TCC. Pete (his right hand man) had the hood up and was going to town. Thanksgiving eve Wednesday at 5pm. Picked it up tonight. Fernando explained the work. Had the old part in his hands and explained how it works and how it failed. Not the best part of The Colony but the BEST shop to trust your vehicle with. Happy here. My wife is now safe in her car and I no longer have to worry about her driving.

My pregnant wife took her car up here to have the ac looked at. We told the shop that the condenser fan and compressor were not working. They called us back 2 hours later telling us that our compressor and condenser fan weren't working. And they needed another hour (ie another 168$) to diagnose the vehicle. They didnt diagnose anything and then still charged us 202$ for nothing. I paid because they threatened to keep my keys, which is illegal in Texas. They will steal your money and do no work. They will bait and switch you. They will con you and over charge you for no work being done. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!!!!

When I initially brought my car in for an A/C diagnostic, I believed I was making a responsible decision. I appreciated that they offered a loaner vehicle (a Smart Car) while mine was being looked at--that small gesture gave me hope that I had found a shop that valued its customers. I genuinely believed this could be the start of a positive, professional relationship with a trustworthy auto repair shop. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. The day after dropping off my vehicle, I received a call informing me that the issue was far worse than expected. They told me I needed to replace the entire controller--for a staggering $3,200. This estimate was significantly higher than quotes from two other shops, including the dealership. I was shocked. I had only recently purchased the car and couldn't afford such a costly repair. Though they offered a payment plan, I already felt uneasy and decided not to proceed. Initially, I spoke with the manager, Robert Gray, who seemed calm, respectful, and helpful over the phone. But when I arrived at the shop, Robert was unavailable, and I was instead assisted by an employee named Jonathan Kentrell. My interaction with Jonathan was jarring--he was rude, dismissive, and lacked any sense of professionalism or empathy. I had to tell him directly, "It costs nothing to treat people with dignity and respect." As a woman, I felt talked down to and disregarded, and couldn't shake the feeling that I was being taken advantage of. Things only got worse. In addition to the $180 diagnostic fee I had agreed to, I was charged another $200--$100 to drain the Freon and $100 to recharge it. This made no sense, as I had clearly communicated to both Robert and Jonathan that the Freon had already been drained the day prior. When I questioned the extra fees, I was told it was because "the mechanic had to roll the machine over and hook it up." I've never heard of such a petty justification for labor fees. And to be clear, there was no repair, only a diagnosis. Robert later claimed he did me a favor by waiving the recharge fee since "it didn't work anyway," and they had already determined that wouldn't fix the issue. But the fact remained: I had paid $300 and received no resolution; only inflated charges and poor treatment. To make matters worse, I was told that only half of the diagnostic fee would have gone toward the actual repair had I chosen to proceed. So, no matter what I decided, I was still losing money. After all was said and done; I left with no repairs, no real help, and a strong sense that I had been disrespected and taken advantage of. I'm sharing this because I believe others, especially women deserve to know what they might be walking into. What started as a seemingly professional and courteous experience quickly became one of the most frustrating encounters I've ever had with an auto repair shop. I left feeling unheard, powerless, and deeply disappointed. I would not recommend Honest -1 Auto Care to anyone, particularly women. Trust, communication and respect are the foundation of any good business, and sadly, I didn't experience any of those things.
