I get the steak sandwich with peppers and onions (and cheese of course!). The pizza looks just okay. I've never tried it, but others have let me know it was alright, not great. Super rude! I couldn't even believe what was happening. I went in and saw a lot of PHL paraphernalia. People in there were saying it was a Philly shop. There was a big guy behind the counter taking order etc... I was waiting to put in my order and looking around. I said to the guy "Do you guys ever make Panzorottis?". He answered back "I don't know what that is". I said with a smile " I guess your not from Philly". This dude flipped out! He told me to get out of there and got really mad. What the heck? Ok, so where I live outside Florida, we're don't get a lot of Cheese Steaks, we have one well known place, that was visited by Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, the Cheese Steaks at Mr. Z's surpassed the Steaks I've tried, and the service was great, friendly and helpful. Honestly out of the 5-days we stay in Key West, it was the best priced, and certainly the yummiest food. read more

We stumbled on this place almost by accident looking for a quick bite as things were closing on a Thursday night. What a great surprise. It doesn't look like much and is very small but the place was jammed with people ordering and coming and going. We all got the cheese-steak sandwich and it was awesome! We asked for cheese-wiz and the guy making it said, you don't want cheese wiz, you want melted provolone. It was fantastic! Its a bit crazy atmosphere, really small, jammed with people eating and ordering and loud European techno music jamming. Made the experience really fun. Lots of Philadelphia sports memorabilia on the walls. The 2 guys making the sandwiches were super cool and were pretty quick making the sandwiches. Great little pizza place in Key West. Very small, just has a counter to eat your pie. Seems to have been there forever. Guys behind the counter all seemed like pretty cool guys, jamming some great music & the most important part: really good pizza. I had a small mushroom pizza, which was actually pretty big, was definitely not a personal pizza. it took about 10-15 minutes to make & was delicious. DELICIOUS! Hit the dirty tingly spot after a great night of drinks and laughs. The staff is laid back, quick and funny. The location looks rough, but to my favorite saying "don't judge a book by its cover". My friend had a philly cheese steak, we had another friend order a ham and pineapple slice of pizza ( the employees cooked it even though they had ran out and closing time was 20 minutes till). We honestly couldn't have asked for something better to eat at 3:30am and it was fun to just catch other friends and have a good time with.
