Hate to do a negative review. I usually don't say anything because I get that it impacts a business. Placed a delivery order for some pizza and a sub at 7:25. Off-season, delivery to Casa Marina. Supposed to be delivered in 45m. Showed up an hour and 35 minutes later, pizza was cold, sub was prepared incorrectly. The really worst thing honestly was that we called the shop 11 times to see what was up, did they try and couldn't find us at the resort, etc? It went to a recording. Then someone picked up and immediately hung up. Then they literally turned the phone off. We kept calling because we were like "wow they must be busy but let's do benefit of the doubt etc." when it finally arrived the Delivery guy was like "oh yeah, we had a dude call in sick." After it was about 25m late we had decided to punt on it, scrap our plans to stay in at the hotel pool and went back to our room to get dressed. We were getting ready to leave when delivery guy called and was 10m away. Late? I can live with. Late + order wrong? Pretty annoying but whatever. Late + order wrong + cold food + phones turned off? My husband asked if they take credit cards and the guy on the phone said no, cash only. The delivery time provided was 45 minutes. Within 30 minutes our hot pizza had arrived. Oh joy! There is something about a pie arriving at my doorstep that always puts a smile on my face. Mmmm. Pizza. Quickly we ran for the condiments to decorate our slices in the usual systematic ritual. My husband added the jalapeños and myself oregano and red pepper flakes. I was a bit late with the food photobomb as we were excited to chow down. At first my slice tasted a-okay and I thought, I can do this again. However, the closer I got with each bite to the crust, the greasier and greasier it tasted. The oil also had a flavor to it I wasn't used to on a pie which was very off-putting. Was it olive oil? EVOO? I don't know, but it left a very oily taste which coated my lips and mouth. I had a chance to visit Mr Z's, a highly recommended spot for Authentic Philly Cheese steak while visiting in Key West and for sure I came to the right place. I ordered 1 cheese steak and ate it there and it was so good I ordered another one to go for later. They use the freshest quality hoagie rolls from Philadelphia's own Amoroso' s Baking Company. I saw the boxes stacked in the Kitchen with my own eyes so I know this to be true. It's a very small place with a counter along the wall and I expect it could be very busy with lines during late night hours , but I was there on a Mid-week afternoon and the service was top quality. I was so impressed with the quality of the food , the Service I even purchased one of their Tie Dyed T-Shirts and will wear it proudly. They even had my size which is rare. read more

We where down in Key Wes for 3 day weekend get way, and out of all the local restaurants that we ate at this was the best!!! I have the Chicken Parmesan, and it was exactly everything you want in one the perfect amount of chicken, sauce, to cheese ratio! If you're looking for eats on Duval after midnight--- this is probably the only place open off of middle of Duval street. All others like Jack Flatts are gonna have their kitchen closed. Be warned though, this place is tiny and the line will be really really long. They serve Pepsi products which satisfied my friend's quest for a drink of Mountain Dew which most seemed not to carry. The famous Philly Cheesesteak was really really good! The chicken parmesan sub was good, but I probably wouldn't order that again as it took much longer to cook than the rest of our orders. Weird. By far thee best Philly in the world, I have no doubt of this. I have tried them all around in other places and traveled far and wide, and I was never a cheese steak fan until I had one here. The reason is that everywhere I've had them, they have stale coarse bread, very sparse meat, and the cheapest cheese ever. Not only that, but also everywhere you go, the meat is very dried out. The philly here is like heaven, if that place actually exists, then it's tucked in a small part of town down in Key West. The meat is plentiful and so moist (I like that word), it's just so good. The bread is the softest in the world and the white american cheese- it's thick, decadent, and they give you a lot. I also tried one with the OG cheese wiz, but much prefer American. I also have to add that we stop by here 2-3 times during every visit to KW and can't help but notice how the locals always order the pizza, so we gave it a try. Honestly, it's simple but delicious as well with a sweet sauce and they give you a lot of meat. You have no choice but to get both the cheese steak and pizza. I wish there was a Mr Z's everywhere :( The only suggestion I have is for when they packed your food to go- to use foil and enclose the Philly because wrapping it in a plate should be a sin, the plate steals half of your cheese. Mr. Z's Sanford has made a piece of Key West come to Sanford Florida. We attended their Grand Opening evening tonight (12-4-2017) and it does not disappoint! The same wonderful Cheese-steaks with white American cheese flavor is there! The pizza....Yum, done perfect with a nice crispy bottom and the fries...one size...humongous...does them proud. The food is fantastic folks. If you've never been to Mr. Z's in Key West and you live in the Sanford / Lake Mary area...then get yourself there and learn what fantastic food is all about!
