I got in my car, started it up and multiple warning lights were on so I brought the car back to the shop. Alan brought the car back into the garage and hooked up diagnostics which told him my battery was only putting out 8 volts (it was a 6-7 year old battery!). The owner, Mt. Wood Sr. stood up at his desk and said that he would happy to drive over to the NAPA store and pick up the battery. He came back with the battery and Alan and Javier installed it for me In what seemed like minutes! I drove away with my car working great! I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the recent glass replacement service I received at Safelite - 13227 SW Canyon Road, Beaverton, OR 97005. I scheduled an appointment and took three hours off work to have my vehicle's glass replaced, only to discover afterward that the replacement glass was defective and had a visible scratch. This experience has been extremely inconvenient and unprofessional. Not only did I lose valuable work time for the initial appointment, but I've now been told that I must wait 10 more days for a technician to return and fix the issue--resulting in another missed day of work. I entrusted Safelite with this repair because of your company's reputation for quality and reliability. However, this situation has caused both financial and personal inconvenience that could have been avoided with proper quality control.

They quoted me $120 for labor if they could repair it without removing the windshield, and $250 if they needed to remove it. They asked if the windshield had been replaced, but I bought the car used so I wasn't sure. They said factory glass is less likely to break during removal. The address associated with the business on Yelp is only 4 blocks from my house. After they took my info, I confirmed the drop-off time, which is when they said they would come to me. I said I didn't mind bringing it to the shop because it was so close. They said they recently relocated and asked which address I saw on the site. I told them the cross streets and they confirmed it was the correct address. So the next day, I bring my car in, only to be met with confusion by the business owners. They said they contract with Alpha for auto glass work, but are not associated with them otherwise, and were not notified about my appt. I explained the situation and they took my keys. A few hours later I get a call from Alpha saying my leak is fixed and the car is ready to be picked up. I asked what I owed them. He said $220. I had a meeting I needed to attend to in that moment, so I said I would call him back. After my meeting, I reached back out and asked if they needed to remove the windshield. He said no. So I reiterated the quote I received from his associate the day before, and suddenly the price was now $120. I walked to the shop to retrieve my car, payed the business owner, and got in my car to leave. I examined the area that needed repair, and the corresponding leak, only to find it was still leaking and the windshield seal stripping was still pulled away from the windshield. I went back in and told the business owners what I discovered. They immediately refunded my payment and I showed them the leak just to verify my claim. They were very kind and apologetic, and ensured they would cease contracting with Alpha immediately. So now I'm in limbo, with mold growing in my car, after three weeks away from home, and returning to discover the issue. Nothing is resolved and I'm feeling very discouraged. In short, I do not trust or recommend this company. Not only did they not do the repair, they tried to charge me for labor that they didn't do. Hard pass. Find a different auto glass company for your repair needs!
