This is unexpectable. I came with my group of friends for my friends birthday party. They were ignorant of requests. I had asked for water and my friend after me asked for water, the waitress had gotten my friend water and didn't give me any. She had looked me directly in the eye as she placed my friends water down.

We went in a Saturday night and were unable to sit at a Teppanyaki table since we did not have a reservation, understandable. The staff were very friendly and assured us we could order from the Hibachi menu at a regular table. There is large selection of sushi on the menu but we opted for the Hibachi Filet Mignon and Shrimp. The meal comes with clear soup which was absolutely tasteless and a house salad which was good and had a nice ginger dressing. The meal took forever to arrive and the waitress came out to apologize for the delay several times. When the food finally arrived it was covered with teriyaki sauce, the vegetables were soggy and the fried rice didn't really taste like it has been fried at all. The portion was generous but we were not expecting to have teriyaki on our meal. At this point given the amount of time it took for them to prepare this food we did not elect to send it back. I would say overall average food, I have had better Japanese in the food court at the mall. I would not return here.

I highly recommend going here for lunch as they have great lunch specials for both hibachi and sushi. I highly recommend any of the hibachi specials and I also highly recommend the mt. Fuji salad which is my favorite thing on the menu. The rolls are alright but not anything too special so I'd recommend going for the hibachi over the rolls. The service is fast and friendly. The place gets very noisy at night with a lot of family and kids sitting at the hibachi tables so beware it's not the greatest place for a date. Overall it's a wantagh classic and especially great for lunchtime

My family and I are regulars at Mt. Fuji. We order takeout from them about once a month. We order the same thing that we go every time: Chicken Hibachi. What can I say? We are creatures of habit. The portions are huge so there is likely to be leftover. It usually ends of being second dinner for us to be honest. The hibachi dinner comes with clear soup and a salad. The dressing on the salad will have you licking the plate clean it is so good. The sauces that come with the hibachi are also incredible. When we come in to pick it up they are always so friendly to us and greet us with a smile. Best hibachi I've been to in all of Nassau County!

It was pretty darn good! I went for my best friend's brother's birthday and the family had a great time. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars was because the rice at other hibachi places has more veggies in it, and with the extra veggies he cooked, he only offered to two people, meanwhile there was enough for the whole group of us to have more lol. I ordered Chicken & Steak Hibachi, medium-rare but it was cooked more medium than rare. I've gotten sushi to-go, from here prior to this visit and it wasn't bad. I'd go again if there was an occasion but nothing stood out.

I finally did it! I reached the top of Mt. Fuji & conquered their vegetable fried rice, it was worth it! BANZAI!!!

Went here for the ‍ time because we have been going for years! I couldn't believe I haven't reviewed yet! So great hibachi tables and always a fun time. The chefs are very energetic and interactive Today it was just me and dad for his 70th birthday! Wanted something simple and local being a Monday after Súper bowl, before Valentine's Day and after my birthday. (In which I have yet to celebrate) thanks COVID! I never order bento boxes but he did and I was so hungry I couldn't think so I did the same. So much food! Of course I need to order a roll, edamame as well as an appetizer he wanted. I substituted brown rice and it held up well. There wasabi is spicy so i know they make it right! The rolls are always delicious and FRESH! The manager or owner came by twice to check on things, we didnt order dessert but they surprised us! How nice what I also love is that I had a second dinner to take home after eating all the seafood :) Btw all that under $100!!!

So much fun, we were a party of eight with the kiddos at this place. Kids menu is very fair. Adult hibachi was priced well too for what it was. It's great being at a local place versus the national chain. Scallops are the way to go. Shrimp were good too. Experience was well worth it. We ordered some starter sushi and dumplings, it was a nice snack. Rice was good, veggies too, and protein combo of your choice in the $25-$35 range for a lot of food (includes clear broth soup with reconstituted mushrooms and salad with that ginger dressing). My friend officer Charlie caught broccoli in his mouth!! And the little one really enjoyed his piña colada!

I just loved this innovative ordering and having the dishes delivered straight to my table was a win for a germaphobe. That was until new owners took over, then it was just awful. The food was greasy, and tasteless. The shrimp and soup dumplings had that god awful refrigerator taste. After going a few times, the bad food and the unfriendly faces just stopped me from going back. Recently, I was out with friends who wanted to try Sakura. I was not thrilled but being a team player, I decided to go. I am happy to say that the food quality has improved. Most dishes were good, not as good as the last owners but hey they are getting there. There was a limit on sashimi (30) and a limit on desserts (1) but with all the other options, I don't need more. The atmosphere is still unfriendly but they are trying. The service has gotten better but don't expect a smile when they deliver your food. As for me, I was just happy to have solid food that came out hot and was tasty. I will definitely give Sakura another shot and hopefully they get better and better.

They have 27 appetizers, 8 lovely salads, ( the spicy Kani was a popular one ), 7 types of soups, 9 different teriyaki items, special rolls and some really good quality sashimi- I got the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The fish, gorgeous - melt in the mouth, fresh, generous portions and the accompanying wasabi and ginger was very, very good. I love that the house salad came with plenty of sesame ginger dressing( photo); the miso soup was hot and delicious. I ordered the pink lady special roll and it was outstanding. Again, everyone probably heard me moan in Ohio. 9 different desserts including ice cream, Oreo cheesecake. They have the best shrimp teriyaki with 20 pieces of big and juicy prawns grilled to perfection with that aroma and a light but addicting sauce over it. 5) Loved the iPad to order which went right to the kitchen vs the paper handwritten do overs. 6) Loved the service - attentive, caring, very polite, alert! 7) Loved that they offered both a senior(65 plus) or a military with ID discount( both 10 percent). 8) Loved the free parking right outside the back door. 9) Loved the decor, the colors and the vibe with a very cute bar. 10) Loved the clean men's restroom. Very nice and peaceful. I will definitely be back.
