I found this fabulous company on Yelp of course. I have two giant trees in front of my house that I have been waiting for the Santa Ana winds to blow onto our car... poor trees were looking shabby. I had 4 different quotes from 4 different companies to have three trees cut. Prices were quoted from $1200 to $950. I was going to cry. Along comes Munguinas Tree Service. Carlos came over and looked over the trees and quotes 1/2 the price to some of these other guys!!! I was dumbfounded and hired him on the spot!! Not to mention they are licensed and he was able to pull up their insurance policy right there on his phone. He was very knowledgeable and polite. The guys showed up and went straight to work. Not only that- they were such gentlemen!! I came home with my kids and was unloading my groceries from the car. One of the guys stopped what he was doing and helped me carry in my groceries!!!! I am so happy with the way our backyard turned out! We met with Carlos back in mid March and came up with some numbers based on what we wanted our backyard to look. This is my first time writing a review but my husband encouraged me to write one. I usually don't bc I feel bad leaving bad reviews for businesses. I would like to start off by saying Carlos is a very professional and nice guy and showed up on time. However, I have an issue with the workers he hired. I am not at all satisfied with the work that was done. I had DG, plants and an irrigation system installed. Carlos hired a worker that swished coke in his mouth and spat it out on my fresh DG multiple times!! (As a nurse this irritated me so much being in a pandemic) There were shoe marks all over the DG and still there to this day. Every time I look at it I'm furious. And it was not completely leveled out. I spent so much money on it! The plants I paid for myself from a local nursery and had Carlos' guys install them for me, it took them a while to do it so by the time they were installed the plants were all dying. Also the irrigation system had a leak (which Carlos quickly came and fixed, he also tried to erase the shoe marks) I definitely would not rehire. I have no problem with Carlos but I would not trust the workers he hires. *** Carlos did respond to this message and I want to be clear the plants were not neglected prior to installation. They were purchased 1 week prior and looked well and alive! Also, as I mentioned before Carlos was prompt at responding when he returned to fix things. I thought that is all he could do for us so I did not bother to call again. I do not appreciate his tone in his response bc I mentioned multiple times that I did not have a problem with him and only the workers. read more

Honestly.... I trust Yelp reviews a lot and this company is amazing!!!!!! I had requested a quote online (here) and received a message back within ten minutes. I was blown away by the price and had to hire him immediately. They came promptly at 8 am, two days later (as scheduled) very professional and trimmed three large trees, removed two palms (smaller) and another smaller tree.
