As a teacher and needing a nice well deserved dinner last night. Bread & smoked cauliflower was very good. Main entree came husband had hanger steak not too bad, I ordered the brisket- if you like 2 small hunks of fat and a small(1/8" thick by 1 1/2") string of donkey dick meat flavored with manure then by all means try it. I enjoy cooking and serve quality food. I was shocked at how poorly this was served. I think my meal was a reject from someone else's meal. By the time I got home I was sick to my stomach and upset I didn't speak up. Won't be going back! Shame shame! read more

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Albuquerque. Their pasta is all handmade fresh everyday. It is served perfectly al dente. The Carbonara is my favorite. You can't go wrong with the Salmon and mashed potatoes either. If you're looking for a small bite to share, they have the best charcuterie boards. I love their wine and pink rabbit cocktail. Made dinner reservations for 6:30 on their website. Had to work a little later and modified it to 7:00 on their website. When we got there, they did not get the modification and we had to wait another 30 minutes for a table. When finally seated, waitperson told us about the "specials". My daughter ordered one of them. Ten minutes later she was informed that they were out of the "special". She then ordered a salad. Her salad contained lettuce that was brown and slimy and there was something she couldn't identify. They did not charge us for the salad. Otherwise the food was dry with very little sauce. Looks like it sat for awhile. Totally overpriced! Will not return. read more

** Disclaimer: here comes the annoying Italian from Italy who is forever going to be picky and thinks s/he knows better when it comes to Italian food. So take this review with a pinch of salt, or a pinch of parmesan. ** You see the number of stars (boosted by the spacious and fancy ambience and my own nostalgia, so it's a vote strictly based on an ABQ-scale, i.e. compared to other restaurants in town). So let's be more specific: We liked the pasta all'amatriciana and the pizza margherita (even if we still preferred the version they had at the deli, aaaah!miss it) We thought the gnocchi were alright but were a bit puzzled by the choice of sauce. Maybe go more traditional ? overall they were bland and unnecessarily greasy. Saltimbocca looked very different from the "alla romana" version I was expecting, but our friend devoured it. So if you're not expecting the traditional saltimbocca, it's probably tasty. I suspect this may be true for a lot of the items on the menu, i.e. they are Italian American rather than traditionally Italian and taste good. Tiramisu was disappointing. We could barely taste the coffee and the cream tasted a lot like whipped cream. read more

Unfortunately, this restaurant was just not good. The interior is lovely with great ambiance and the service was great, but the food was really bad. I got the vegetarian gnocchi. It was just swimming in oil, the vegetables were not roasted fully and seasoning was just off. The cheese they used had congealed strangely into rubbery bites. I truly couldn't eat it, and food has to be really bad for me to not be able to stomach it. As long as it's vegetarian and not hot-garbage slop, I'm part of the clean-your-plate club. I'm just saying - I'm not that picky. My spouse got the fish special of the day, and it was pretty basic. Poorly prepared, rubbery and not well seasoned. Although it was edible it certainly didn't merit the price paid. This restaurant is really pricy for the ABQ area and I fail to see why. Definitely disappointed with the $80+ bill for 2 entrees and 2 drinks. I don't mind paying for good food but this just makes my stomach turn remembering my experience at M'Tuccis. Not sure why the reviews are so stellar for this place. The service we had was great but the food was meh. The carbonara was both bland and overrun by red onion (who puts any kind of onion in carbonara?) and the sausage in the bolognese was tough and full of gristle. Having to pay for a small bread basket in an Italian restaurant was insulting as well. The tiramisu and Twinkie desserts were ok but not good enough to make up for the overall blah experience. Recently visited another of the M'Tuccis in Albuquerque and was not disappointed! our waiter Auggie was attentive and we never had to ask for anything. He was also very personable and it was pleasure to talk with him! the food was amazing, so good we had to order more to go Because we were full and had to share it with others! the volume of the conversations in the room was perfect for having important business meetings or a casual meal with family/friends. can't recommend enough. Comfortable chairs. Very loud, please put in some sound attenuation boards! Had the 730 day prosciutto, the 24 month parmesan along with the milanese buratta. Garlic butter served cold and hard. So I was here for a yelp event but I had no cell phone to check in (it was broken) so I am going to just leave a regular review since I was unable to check in that night. I highly recommend this spot. Not only is the staff incredible but the food and drinks are off the hook as well! I had a Bellini and Prosciutto board. I barely made the door at the end of happy hour (I was at the bar) and they still gave me happy hour prices; I was super happy with that as well. The board was filling and super fresh and flavorful. They have an awesome Happy hour! I am single so I always love a good happy hour because with the right snack it is my dinner and with a drink and I am completely satisfied for the evening. This is definitely one of my regular places to be at between 3-6pm. Everything has been changed from when it was Chama Brewery. I love the ambience and Italian music and smells. Bathrooms are clean and everyone was masked up with eyes smiling. This place is a YES! Check it out and don't forget Happy Hour they have a super great selection for their menu and awesome drinks hand crafted in front of you. We arrived at 4:45 so that we could get a patio seat. No problem. The service staff was very good but they had trouble keeping up. Took a little while for service but with covid we accepted. We ordered both tortellini dishes. The sausage tortellini was much too salty. They comped that dish...appropriate and appreciated. The lobster ravioli was to die for and the caesar salad with white beans terrific. The wine was good as well. Would love to try again. I know it is hard to pay a full staff with limited seating but I would recommend another one or two waite staff be added. My wife and some friends came here for lunch on a Sunday before a 2:45pm movie. They arrived at 1pm, and were seated. There were only a handful of other people dining. The waitress didn't take their food order for over 30 minutes and they didn't get their food until nearly 2:30. Some of the party left to make it to the movie in time while others stayed to pay. The staff treated them as if they were trying to dine and dash rather than apologizing for the slow service. Multiple times the party tried to get the check and told the waitress they needed to get to the movie. Eventually they got the check and paid. On the way out the manager said in a snarky tone, "enjoy your movie." Terrible service and attitude by this restaurant. Should be ashamed. Party missed the first 20 minutes of the movie. read more

I have been a M'tucci's fan since it was the cucina on Montano. It is no surprise that they have made another successful location. The food is great, the service is always good, and they continue to have my favorite rosemary/pineapple shrub on the menu. Every location has a few things that are a little different. This location for example has a different happy hour/ bar food set up than the montaño location. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat here because 99% of the time it is amazing flavor. My fallback is always the hanger steak. The steak is always cooked perfectly with a delicious veggie and starch. It is always a good call. This last time I went they changed the sauce. It is more sweet than before and the color is yellow-ish. I preferred the other more savory colorful sauce, but my meal was still pretty good. First of all, Nicole F was our server and she was an absolute delight. Attentive, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. The food was so good! My partner had the Sausage Rigatoni (homemade pasta) and I had the Hanger steak with these super good crispy smashed baby gold potatoes. Italian restaurants have a difficult time impressing me since I'm 100% Sicilian. This place did. I had l'anatra (the duck). Husband's skirt steak was also delicious. Grandkids spaghetti and meatballs were good, but the oldest said needs waaay more Garlic. She is accustomed to my cooking which has massive amounts of garlic and Romano cheese. I tried M'Tucci's last night and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in the service was incredible! The food we ordered was amazing. A pizza, 5 meat bolognese, bread, lemon ricotta cookies and gelato. I can't say enough good things. We even asked questions about a private party room and received attention and well planned out sample menus. We love this place. They are Italian but a couple steps above the usual chain Italian and with a nice variety. I've had good salads and a delicious cheese and prosciutto grilled sandwich. My daughter likes the pasta selections and the customization they allow. Nice assortment of wines for accompaniment and pleasant servers. I've always had an appreciation for anyone who is kind enough to serve me but this new situation makes me even more grateful. Very disappointing. The service was just fine but out of 4 meals ordered, none was outstanding. The smoked brisket ravioli had more big chunks of fat than brisket. The rigatoni bolognese was one of the most disappointing dishes of all. Al dente? More like old rigatoni that had become leathery. The ribeye steak might have been right at home at Denny's. As a longtime patron of M'tucci's at all of their west side locations, hearing about their new venture into the busiest restaurant row in the state was absolutely exciting. After getting to finally try out the new location, there are several things I must talk about: 1. The menu The menu is incredible. I was thoroughly impressed with the new items sitting alongside old time favorites. I had the gnocchi, which I can only describe as having a nostalgic home cooked meal next to a cozy fire. My dad had the carbonara, which had delicious flavor. And my brother had the Milanese burrata, his longtime go-to. Their new Cicchetti station is a neat addition and I'm excited to try all the new stuff on the menu. 2. Overall look of the restaurant - it's huge and loud, but a fun atmosphere. The look is very much different from the rest of their locations but it's beautiful and feels like a fine dining experience. 3. Service - the servers, although busy (as expected), were extremely friendly and attentive to their tables. I've always been impressed by their kind and lively staff, and you can surely expect nothing less from the new spot. Lastly, I highly recommend making a reservation during their busy nights. You can go online or call in to do that, but if I hadn't made one, it would've been an hour wait! As all new restaurants go and for faithful patrons of this establishment, patience and enthusiasm are always required. Worst experience with Italian food in Albuquerque. Food was bland, pasta over cooked, New York steak (cut of day) was not a good cut. Charcuterie board was put together hastily, calamari were crumbs and soggy, Chianti barely half par. Gelato tastes like freezer burned ice cream, tiramisu 2.0 was a made up version, rather have original tiramisu version. The waiter was great and felt sorry for him that he served all that horrible food, $135.00 for two adults and one child, felt ripped off after paying for that crap I could have ordered through door dash. I was craving Italian on a road trip going through ABQ and saw M'tucci's had just opened a new location. I have been to their other locations and this one sounded like a fun take on their traditional Italian fare. The service was phenomenal - everyone seemed happy to be there and were very welcoming and helpful. The food was exceptional - I wanted to try everything! I ended up ordering way too much (was ok because I had delicious food for the road :) and everything I tasted was perfect. Thanks for a wonderful stop on my way back home! read more

Rebekah was the best waitress we've had in a long while!! She was so personable, gave fantastic menu recommendations, and made us feel at home. We mentioned we're moving from California so she gave us recommendations for neighborhoods, stuff to do with the kids, etc. She was the best part of M'Tucci's.
