If you know where Hot Tamales is, go behind it and hit Upscale Rio! First of all, this place has so many options of what I'd call comfort food and everything is good! They have shakes, desserts, yummy starters, mac and cheese, burgers and much more! What's my favorite thing? So many items are gluten free!! Hallelujah!! Even the burgers can be ordered with a gluten free bun! We also had a super sweet waitress! I had to go gluten free last fall and it really cut down on us eating out as most places have little to no options. Here, MOST things are gluten free!! Like what you may ask? Well, today I had chicken fried chicken, green chile gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables- a medley of corn, Lima beans ,bell peppers and red onions. They use a gluten free rice flour and the batter on the chicken was crispy and delicious!! They are also super generous with their portions so I took half of my food home and can't wait for dinner! I also had a double chocolate shake and a cold brew. They proudly brew Whispering Bean Coffee which is super tasty! My husband had the Green Chile Chicken Pot Pie and really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My mother in law had the Basic Cheddar Burger with fresh cut fries and raved about it. She also had a Key Lime Pie Shake. No photo of this, sorry! They normally have a gluten free fruit cobbler but they were out. I'll be back to try that for sure! All I know is I found a place that has super tasty gluten free options that I can't find anywhere else. I love you Upscale Rio! I'll be sharing this with all my gluten free friends! See you soon!! XOXO

Burger was cooked well and was filled with flavor! I got the steak fingers after reading reviews and unfortunately they were not good. Great servers! Everyone was helpful and kind so front of house manager must be doing their job!…read moreFood was delicious. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sixty Six Acres…read more We walked in and were seated immediately on the patio. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.

She explained that they have a dedicated fryer for their chicken wings and fries, offer gluten-free hamburger buns, and other gluten-free options. That gave me the confidence to give them a try. When we arrived, we grabbed a table on the patio and then ordered. We shared the loaded breakfast fries (without the chile since it isn't gluten-free), and they were delicious. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and flavorful. My gluten-free daughter had the barbecue chicken wings and fries, and my gluten-free son ordered the huevos rancheros without the chile. My husband had the regular huevos rancheros. The server who took our order seemed to be new, but another woman, possibly the owner or manager, was extremely friendly, answered all of our questions. As someone with celiac disease, that level of knowledge and willingness to answer questions means a lot. Everything we ordered was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Ella and Corrales Road. Are we glad we did. Order and pick up at the outdoor counter adjacent to the parking lot. No seating in the actual restaurant, but you are more than welcome to go into the Sanda Bar or use one of their numerous outdoor tables. The friendly staff at the bar are used to this arrangement. While you are there, have a drink in the Sandia Bar and look at what they have done to make what was once the local "biker bar" hangout into an upscale drinking emporium. And best of all, this is our new "best in New Mexico" burger joint. Simply the best. We also tried out the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and fish and chips. Highly recommended and best of all, its in our backyard. Check out our YouTube video report. https://youtu.be/2Z0Xkdf05rw?si=1t5zHP29uwkPia_H

To take it one step farther, you can even walk in the gardens and see where some of your food is grown. Importantly, the food is insanely tasty. I split the salmon and barramundi, both of which were cooked to perfection and paired with FRESH sides. I could eat here every day of my life. The place is cute, mostly outdoor seating with a great view for sunset. Lots of fairy lights, adobe infrastructure - very ABQ. The menu rotates seasonally, but I am confident there is never a bad dish. Notably, they only serve beer and wine, no cocktails. Still, a great place for a night out, if a bit expensive.

The weather permitted use to sit outside in the comforting blanket of mild sun shine. Service was slow and it took some time for someone to initially come to our table. I heard a few tables being offered to tour the area where some of the plants were being grown which was nice. That option was not extended to our table. The menu had a few vegetarian options that looked promising. I ordered barramundi and my wife ordered cavatelli which is a type of pasta. Complementary bread was brought out that tasted good but had too much salt on the crust. I didn't know but eventually found out that barramundi is a type of Asian sea bass. It was plated with a good amount of vegetables, but I found it to be bot a flavorful as I would have liked. I tasted the cavatelli and was not impressed either by the flavors. The drink section of the menu is a little confusing and we ended up with a grapefruit rosemary kombucha. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing but I think the entrees were a bit over priced for what we received.

It was extremely busy and loud. I didn't wait in line to order, but it took them 50 minutes to prepare our salads. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful at first. I'm hoping it was because they were so busy. We had to leave 10 minutes after getting our salads so I had to take most of it home which was disappointing. On a good note, the salads were amazing. They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. The salads and fresh ingredients are delectable. If I ever return, it will be a to go order that is put in very early. Cheers!
