The standout here to me was the quality of the fish for the price - they put yuzu kosho paste and what seemed to be a little truffle oil on the salmon nigiri, and it was so good! The scallop nigiri we got also seemed to be very fresh and sweet. I could have done without the spicy tuna crispy rice (flavors, textures, and sauces were off), and the takoyaki was tasty but barely had any octopus in it. I'd come for the sushi and the drinks. Atmosphere is lively and bustling with a lot of Tokyo-esque decor, and a projector playing EDM sets on the wall. It is small so if you come with a bigger party or when it's busy you may have a short wait. Great addition to the plaza though if you aren't feeling Thai food and want affordable sushi that's open late.

We tried a mix of Thai desserts, which can be a bit hit or miss depending on your taste. The mango sticky rice was great, but a couple of the others weren't really our thing. The standout for all of us was the Khao Soi. It is one of my favorite dishes anywhere, and theirs completely delivered. Rich broth, great heat, deep flavor. The drink stand that has a guy dressed as Pirates of the Caribbean is worth visiting. They have unique drink flavors which you can't get anywhere else like the longan drink! Overall I'll be back. I do feel that parking in the $55 lot is worth it. With the $55, you get $50 worth of food vouchers and you pay $5 parking. The food vouchers are in tickets of $10 and if your food wasn't exactly $10, you get cash back. You will definitely be spending over $50 though so it's definitely worth it!

I have a very specific style of fish taco that I like, and based on the photos and reviews, this place seemed like one of the closest matches. They have all the toppings I love--pickled onions, radishes, peppers and jalapeños, limes, different salsas, and sauces. Their fish tacos are so good, especially with the pickled onions, peppers, lime, and their green salsa. My absolute favorite thing to get, though, is their fish and shrimp ceviche tostadas. You get two tostada shells and a cup of ceviche topped with avocado slices, and I add the toppings, Tapatío, and their green crema sauce. Oh my goodness, it is SO good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it, and I honestly can't wait to go back! The restaurant is on the smaller side with limited seating, so I usually prefer to take my food to go. It's about a 15-18 minute drive from me in the San Fernando Valley, and it's absolutely worth it. Customer service is pretty straightforward and quick since they're usually busy getting orders out, but they'll chat with you briefly every now and then. Most of the napkins, cups, utensils, and other self-service items are easy to find around the register and drinks. At one point, I was coming here almost once a week, but now I try to limit myself to about twice a month. I'll be back this coming Wednesday for their $1.99 fish taco special. Tuesdays are their asada special, but I definitely prefer the fish tacos! Definitely worth the drive!

I am not typically a fan of fusion everything, but the Thai and Viet options here are separated and lean into their own cuisines. I should have taken a picture of the menu! Funny enough, I didn't try the pho so you'll have to rely on others' reviews or just take a chance. Here is what we ordered: 1. Fresh roll with grilled pork: summer roll served with fish sauce and peanut sauce. The meat had a nice, charred flavor. 2. Bahn xeo: savory crepe with chicken and shrimp. It comes with greens, mint, and fish sauce. The batter is a little thicker than what you'll find in OC, but the crunch and the variety of textures were excellent. I don't really see bahn xeo on LA menus, and this dish was what I've been craving. 3. Khao soi with back rib: thick coconut curry soup. The rib meat was very tender. Onions and lime were a needed boost to balance out the sweetness. Get the noodles on the side if you don't think you'll finish the dish or if you plan to take leftovers. 4. Chicken thigh meal: with salad, soup, rice. The rice was a scoop of com tam which surprised me in the best way. I was not expecting to have broken rice during this meal. 5. Thai tea: I didn't try this but it looked creamy, maybe with a touch too much ice though. 6. Mango sticky rice: with coconut cream and black/white sesame seeds on top. The fruit was perfectly ripe. I didn't need the flower but the presentation was quite nice. Make room for dessert, because this is not your typical watered-down coconut pour. It's thicc. We were trying to be "good" but we should have ordered the large. Take leftovers, add veggies, stretch it out. I noticed that one of the families didn't take their noodles or shrimp. I was full of imaginary tears and silent judgement as they passed by our table to leave. Did their parents not tell them about the starving kids in the rest of the world? OMG I am now crying real tears as I write this. Parking is within the strip-mall. Spaces are tight but having any parking in Hollywood is like a dream. TK and Vicky were on staff and they were great.
