Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and gave good recommendations, which made ordering easy. The drinks were good and definitely not watered down. My only critique is that I wish the portions were a little larger for the price. Overall, it was a solid experience, and I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area. The outside garden patio is so lovely but because of the heat, we sat inside. Very attentive service by our friendly waiter. Cocktails were tasty! We shared the Buratta appetizer as well as stuffed squash blossoms and we both had the scampi with a side of pasta. Everything was delicious with generous portions! We were too full for dessert, but I received a birthday pistachio ice cream, heavenly. We were there on Tuesday and we had a 6 o'clock reservation. By 6:45, the restaurant was packed. The noise level is a bit, but that's to be expected in a popular restaurant. It was really nice to see this new incarnation of a wonderful restaurant.

Parking can be found in the Topanga Village garage and is free for the first 1.5 hours. My friend and I came Friday afternoon around 4 pm for their happy hour. Normally happy hour is on their patio, but they seated us in their regular dining area, not sure why. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It was a nice day out, so we requested outdoor. Unfortunately that meant I was bitten by mosquitos a couple times. All cocktails on the happy hour menu are between $10-11. I got the Boston Sour and my friend got the Social Mule. We both liked our drinks. For food, we shared the following from the happy hour menu: Green goddess hummus ($8 hh) - pretty good, but I wish there was more pita to go with the hummus! Crispy chicken sliders ($11 hh) - ginormous chicken sliders! Would highly recommend! Meatball sliders ($11) - good but on the smaller side, especially when placed side by side with the chicken sliders lol Blackened salmon tacos ($11 hh) - also good, though I found the salmon a bit bland Presentation for the drinks and all the dishes was beautifully done. Everything is plated nicely even for happy hour dishes.

Sit on the patio to enjoy the full effect of the fairy lights, fireplace and cozy spaces meant for an intimate date. I had their Old Fashioned which was banana flavored for summer. The banana was a more subtle finish, not sweet, but I still prefer their peach version and wish it was also on the menu. The deviled eggs are just the right bite for drinks. We also had the flatbread and hummus, made with green garbanzo beans and served with watermelon radish and pita bread. TIP: if you like biscuits, order theirs! Put your order in right away because they're baked fresh for you and they take a while. With the honey butter, it's perfect! Service is consistently good! From the hostess stand to the bar, it doesn't matter where you are, staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Servers read your vibe well and respond accordingly, providing excellent service for a date night or family/friends gathering.

5* Ambiance 4* Food…read more4* Service It has been a lifetime since I last dinned here. The views are more spectacular than ever and the interior decore is beautifully updated and clean. The food is fairly priced for the quality and menu presented. This is both a special occasion or casual dinning restaurant. Many showed up in shorts and tank tops (YUK) and others were nicely dressed for brunch. Their brunch menu had a lot of miss and hit items. Next time I would skip the Mango Habanero Shrimp and Truffle Popcorn chicken. The deep fried shrimp was overbowered by the bleu cheese dressing; the mango and and habanero flavors were visibly detectable but not balanced. The fried chicken and popcorn had clove and moderate seasoning which made it difficult to detect the truffle flavors which would have made this dish a success. The presentation was cute, but it missed the mark for us. The petite Charcuterie board, aquachile and ahi tuna poke were both a success! Each had quality and fresh ingredients. The shrimp and ahi tuna were perfectly prepared and well balanced in flavor. Next time I really want to try their bruch platter for two as it offered a generous portion and everytable that ordered them appeared to have really enjoyed it. The bar is great as it offers many options for mocktails, coctails, beer and wine. Next time I want to return for dinner and try some meat items on the menu.

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

This place really made you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow was going to jump out at every corner. It so themed for a tiki bar, but if pirates and mermaids had a place to hang out this would be that place. From the decor to the detailed bathroom sounds and the menu item names. You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.
