It's Pho is a new discovery/recommendation for me...even though the team said they've been open since 2012/2013. I am not typically a fan of fusion everything, but the Thai and Viet options here are separated and lean into their own cuisines. I should have taken a picture of the menu! Funny enough, I didn't try the pho so you'll have to rely on others' reviews or just take a chance. Here is what we ordered: 1. Fresh roll with grilled pork: summer roll served with fish sauce and peanut sauce. The meat had a nice, charred flavor. 2. Bahn xeo: savory crepe with chicken and shrimp. It comes with greens, mint, and fish sauce. The batter is a little thicker than what you'll find in OC, but the crunch and the variety of textures were excellent. I don't really see bahn xeo on LA menus, and this dish was what I've been craving. 3. Khao soi with back rib: thick coconut curry soup. The rib meat was very tender. Onions and lime were a needed boost to balance out the sweetness. Get the noodles on the side if you don't think you'll finish the dish or if you plan to take leftovers. 4. Chicken thigh meal: with salad, soup, rice. The rice was a scoop of com tam which surprised me in the best way. I was not expecting to have broken rice during this meal. 5. Thai tea: I didn't try this but it looked creamy, maybe with a touch too much ice though. 6. Mango sticky rice: with coconut cream and black/white sesame seeds on top. The fruit was perfectly ripe. I didn't need the flower but the presentation was quite nice. Make room for dessert, because this is not your typical watered-down coconut pour. It's thicc. We were trying to be "good" but we should have ordered the large. Take leftovers, add veggies, stretch it out. I noticed that one of the families didn't take their noodles or shrimp. I was full of imaginary tears and silent judgement as they passed by our table to leave. Did their parents not tell them about the starving kids in the rest of the world? OMG I am now crying real tears as I write this. Parking is within the strip-mall. Spaces are tight but having any parking in Hollywood is like a dream. TK and Vicky were on staff and they were great. It was cool to see their flow with one another and with all the customers as the restaurant got busier for dinner. Yes, we will return. read more

There was a time where I loved their pho and it tasted so good and I was here multiple times a week, but their customer service has always been awful here, and now the pho matches. This dish tasted like dish water with noodles inside of it. No matter what I added into it no flavor is popping up. This was a very sad meal to eat read more

I came with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. From the moment we sat down, we felt like we were being ignored. The waitress (or possibly the owner) was busy talking to someone else, even though she clearly saw us. We waited a long time just to get some attention, and we even moved to a table closer to her, hoping she'd notice us but nothing changed. The whole experience made us feel unwelcome and unimportant. Good service is a huge part of dining out, and sadly, the service here was well below expectations. If I'm ever craving Pho in Hollywood, this is definitely going to be my go to! They have a pretty extensive menu and have lots of options. Hoping to try their hot pot next time but everything looks amazing in their menu. We went an hour before closing so it wasn't as busy and they were actually planning to close early as it wasn't as busy but after we went in, more customers came. I got the spicy Ribeye pho and the meat is super tender and a big portion so I had leftovers. The egg rolls were pretty crispy and delicious. They have a small parking lot which is shared with other restaurants but that's already a plus especially in this neighborhood. I will definitely be back! read more

Where should we eat? It's Pho Hollywood! That's what I heard from my teens when I was in the area, which meant we ate here twice in 2 days! That says a lot! It was THAT food. My favorites were: fresh spring roll (they rolls were huge and tofu were perfectly crisp), Thai ice tea with boba (the boba was soft and warm!), mango sticky rice (delicious, large, and plated beautifully), garlic noodles (O.M.G!!!! I can eat 2 orders of these myself!), and Vietnamese rice plate with lemongrass chicken. The service was great, the ambiance inside was cute and decorated well, and the menu was diverse with the Thai menu on one side and Vietnamese cuisine on the other. The only area that wasn't so great was the area the restaurant was in (it is a little shady McShady) and the parking is small, but if you're from the area, you won't blink an eye. it's pho had the worst flavor you will taste. we came here tonight for dinner with our family excited to try the pho after reading some of the reviews and I knew once the bowl came out everything was off. They did not give us any of the vegetables which you always get when you order pho at restaurants. we asked about it they said that it's already in there on the bottom, I did not see any bean sprouts and herbs, We had to ask for some to be brought to the table to add in. The broth was very clear and salty no flavor. You must add some hot sauce to even taste it. the chicken was watery and flavorless and chewy in not a good way. The broth was lukewarm, and my noodles were still hard. This was not a good experience at all, the worst I've had in a long time. I literally ordered pizza across the way after dinner. I came in to order pho because I lost my voice and while I was waiting they gave me the most amazing hot tea to help soothe my throat. So sweet of them. We ordered some egg rolls, Pad-see ew with beef, which was delicious, traditional Pho (no meat, no veggies), Pho Bo, Khao Soi (Chicken Curry Noodles, which was the star of the night), and Lemongrass Bánh Mì with fries. I've been eating pho for 30 years. I've had good pho, bad pho -- but this? This was next-level terrible. The broth was so salty it was basically ocean water. I had to pour in half a cup of water just to make it somewhat edible, and even then, it was brutal. The color was completely off -- dark and murky instead of that clean, light tone a real pho broth should have. I knew it was bad the moment I opened the container. The noodle portion was tiny. None of my requests were included. The egg rolls were flavorless -- all wrapper, barely any filling. It honestly felt like a "pho" restaurant run by people who've only seen pho on Instagram. I rarely ever leave bad reviews, but this was such a disappointing experience I had to say something. I've never been this let down by a bowl of pho. I got the beef steak pho - it was not bad. The steak was pretty fatty but tender. They give a lot of noodles but the soup was just OK in my opinion. I was very thirsty after which makes me think they add a lot of salt or msg to the broth. The pho comes with bean sprouts already in it, so you don't add it on the side. They do give you thai basil, limes, and jalapenos on the side if you want to add. They also pre-garnish with a healthy handful of cilantro. The papaya salad was good. Not too spicy and a great portion for sharing with small parties. Comes with peanuts. They were out of mango sticky rice for dessert since it's not in season so we got the fried plantain with coconut ice cream. The ice cream was more icey than creamy in my opinion and the fried plantain was too oily and wrapped in a deep fried puff pastry. Service was very very slow - it seemed like there was just one person working here. She was slow to take our order and also bring out food. Two stars: food was alright and customer service was good. The price for the food was not worth it. I ordered the Tom Yum Soup and opted out of the BBQ pork and they forgot to put the fish balls, I didn't realize until later on that the fishballs were missing. How upsetting. Overall the soup itself was not worth paying $17+ for. My husband and daughter got Pho and wasn't good at all. The rice dish was very skimped out, more rice and salad and protein was hardly any and it was $18+ dollars. Would I come back, no not really. This place should really just stick to one cuisine and focus on that. read more

I was able to get a spot right in the front :) We ordered Thai tea: good, Vietnamese ice coffee: very strong, fresh coconut juice: refreshing, beef combination pho: soup tasted a bit bland but was told they don't use msg so am happy it's healthy. The meat was soft and came w a huge bowl. The grilled chicken bowl: tasted healthy. The oxtail pho: spicy and soft and juicy and came in a metal bowl with fire to keep warm. I'd recommend this over the combination pho (I totally forgot to take a pic as I was already diving into my food lol). Vietnamese spicy chicken wing: very fancy...I wanted regular wings but did not mind eating wings covered in thick orange sauce w bit of spice. The staff sat my party as soon as we entered. They are also very attentive throughout your dining experience. This business was filled with many tourists. It was quiet upon entering but got a bit louder as dinner progressed. The pricing for their food is really high considering the flavor profile it was missing. The menu has a mixture of Vietnamese and Thai food. The food we ordered was far from authentic. All the dishes we ordered tasted and looked more American than Vietnamese. When ordering pho make sure you ask for mint, lime, and bean sprouts as they are not served with your order. Steak Bahn Mi- 4/10 Looked like a sliced steak burger and was served with french fries. This sandwich had meat, romaine lettuce, and tomato. I think this should just be called a steak sandwich versus a Bahn Mi. Beef Steak Pho- 2/10 The meat was very fatty. The pho broth was lukewarm so the meat took awhile to cook. The broth tasted like water with a little bit of beef bouillon, which was very disappointing. Fresh Veggie Rolls- 6/10 The only good thing about this meal. The way it was plated made it hard to take a roll from the plate. I typically don't leave reviews unless I've had a horrible experience. Came here on a whim after seeing the good ratings on yelp and boy I was disappointed. The pho was mediocre. The broth tasted like pure salt and MSG. It's almost as if they used instant pho seasoning. It lacks depths in flavors and did not taste authentic whatsoever.
